I've yet to figure out exactly what causes stuff to fall through other things, seen it with stuff on kitchen counters after loading a saved house then moving a wall, others have had fences vanish, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6c_nNdJFDg (more testing needed)

compiling shaders may take a few seconds, yet that's with recommended handwear, lower end stuff may take longer, and not having a SSD dedicated to steam games makes it even worse (one SSD for windows, a second physical SSD for the steam library... AKA poor mans RAID Array).
if you get to the menu, open "options" and try lowering graphics settings, may help a tad (not the lack of SSD tho).

Make sure there is a ceiling. If there isn’t one you can select the whole room and click where a ceiling is needed and choose to add one. Then you can add the lights

was having similar issues yesterday fussing with a raised deck (tsunami-escape), tried making a wall shorter on one of 3 sides to add a path for steps and the entire thing went poof. it is very frustrating.

Are you a builder? I'm struggling with gable roofs because the half gable roof has a natural overhang, but the regular gable roof doesn't. It makes the house look terrible if you use the two together. I was looking at screenshots of older houses built with the Creator Studio demo, and they have overhanging gable roofs. What's up with that?
I really want to make my house have matching roofs. Do you know how to create that overhang, or did they take something out that was in the demo?

I am more fumbling than building, at best it's glitching stuff together to work. and roofs need help, so many things just don't fit or collision zones prevent them from fitting. Sorry, I have no answers other than 'pretend' the half roofs are not doing what they are. (I only got the tags, so I could direct some questions there by request of the mods, custom wall things.)

I'm redownloading the demo. I downloaded the house I saw with overhanging gables, and it seems those roofs were entirely different. One was just the roof on one side with the wall on the other side. So maybe there were different roofing pieces before? If the demo doesn't work, maybe I can tear down a house from the demo days, keep just that gable roof without a wall, put my building in, and use those stolen gable rooftops. 🤣

If you transform it into a 3D model and untransform it, it should still have the option to be sized up.

Thank you ❤️ yes it is the house I've been working on since the start. Been using this little project as a way of getting into the game and get to know the mechanics. It's actually supposed to be a rebuild of a Sims 3 house I did last year but decided to freestyle it and give it its own style rather than making it the same thing. And yes - making it open is making it somewhat easier to play in. Just hoping now it is going to be fully operational once it's done 😅

Sessions do change automatically; Blissbay has summer and rain, while Down has four seasons. However, you can change it manually and set its duration in Manage City.

yeah, dance floor is sort of a waste of 3000meows vs a wood floor and a tambourine, the tambourine being the only dance interactable thing for now. I was so hoping to make a k-pop like studio, still am even if it's just looks for now.

TAA, it uses former frames to find edges to anti-alias. bane of UE5 as well. ye either has AA ghosting or dithered 1bit shadows and hair opacity with AA off. I've seen two other UE5 games suffer the same exact visual artifacts.

If a house is too big for the plot you are on there is not really anything you can do other than place it on a bigger lot.

if the house fits but not the garden you should be able to place the house but anything that falls outside of the boundaries will be deleted

That's what I was afraid of. These are essentially prop-builds we're making. In GTA V, for instance, you make a MLO, that has well-defined rooms and portals, and where you can set their own indiidual environment even, and where a special shell has collision to prevent rain from coming in.

Yeah. In GTA you can set light-culling (well, in 3ds max, really). Naturally, building a proper MLO is 10x harder than building a home in InZOI, which was clearly made to be easilu accessible

In GTA V you also have light-blockers: props (like wall-segments, that are invisible when deployed, and have no collision) that have light-blocking material on them. That could be in the realm of possibilities for InZOI, as those are much easier to position.

What InZOI definitely has over GTA V, is real mirrors; that'a a crime in GTA V (needing predefined portals and such); in InZOI you have fully mirror-floors too, with great ease

Yes, I added textures and objects. There are textures on some wallpapers, tables, and paintings. and there are a few objects, but there are not a lot of them, considering the number that sometimes exists in canvas.

Sometimes people are cutting the texture file sizes before they upload it in Canvas. Also, they are using a tool in Blender as well (could be that you use it as well). If you cut some textures and objects it could help to minimize the file size down
