How long did it take for your cat to get used to your house? I just got a black cat and he's hiding a lot

Months, i got her when she was 4 months and it took her a long time to get used to my house. Now she knows my room is her safe space and she follows me around like a shadow. The most important thing is to be patient and try to build a bond with them, treats and handheld toys worked for me.

Remember they are in a new environment with someone they dont know, what i did was i did stuff in the room without interacting with them, that way they can see you and slowly warm up to you. But remember to try not to be loud ❤️

Awww hes very cute, definitely give him time, eventually he will be talking your ear off like my baby does. Try treats too, start with solid ones and try to lead them out of his hiding space. Keep doing this until he feeds off your hand and then try wet treats like churros, he will start to associate you with treats and be more likey to come out

Sorry to hear that bud. Is that the full size they get? I used to have a Dolichothele diamantinensis( Turantula) which was 10cm(4inch) big. That was my first and only spider I had, then I sold her. Fun fact did you know that female spiders live longer than males.

But this species' lifespan can range between one to three years which depends on how often they moult (which is correlated to their diet) and gender (females live longer)

And if things go well the new one will also be a girl but of slightly different species, the old one was a phidippus regius while the new one is an audax
