I'm not a WoW player but I'm really enjoying the WoW vs FFXIV
I think both games are really making good changes after the WoW exodus
FFXIV started off as probably the biggest failure in mmo history at the time but they've really grown to be the closest thing to a "WoW killer" (not that it actually is)

WoW really needed competiton it's just funny it was FFXIV

Rival Wings is 46 players in two? teams who take on each other (I spend my least amount of time here)

There is an alternative launcher that's unofficial if you really struggle

It's not allowed but FFXIV runs on a heavily on turning a blind eye as long as you don't impact other players
Only mods that I know have been shut down are ones that were cheats and others that allowed other players to see your mods (if they had the same plugin as you)

I love Dancer because it is very flashy but also the "I'm playing a rhythm game" scratches an itch for me

Your paras can solve motives by themselves and will do activities
But all NPCs seem to be more scripted or have very primitive autonomy
Your paras can't talk without you clicking chance cards and they won't devlop relationships without you

Depends, how much reach it had. Considering this game has had a lot of reach and there is something like Schedule I out there completely clearing other games (which is an unfair comparison, as it is not in line of the consensus of indie games), it is doing fairly well.

Yeah, inZOI might be holding off on eating while using the computer for now, since spills could have consequences for the computer. They said they've been developing more consequence based interactions lately, like pouring liquid over things, so we’ll see.

You can still eat while watching TV or talking to others, though there seems to be a bug with eating as a group activity that prevents talking( which I’m assuming ll get addressed in due time.)

It’s because a narrative was built from the initial release, which we can all probably agree was perhaps a bit too raw, and that narrative has not been updated despite the year that has passed. In fact there are many agents working to make sure that narrative stays in place for one reason or another.

Also so many people don’t seem to know the difference between generative a.i and a.i that has existed in games since… video games became a thing.

I actually use the prompt tool to generate textures, and I think it’s a really neat concept that’s pipelined well into the creative side of the game. It saves me from having to interrupt my build, search through CC0/royalty-free texture sites, download a source image, and then import it into the game manually.

InZOI would not exist if Paralives hadn't taken the first step in the genre. Regardless of how you feel about the game itself, absolute unnecessary rudeness towards any competitor of InZOI, let alone an indie game, is not tolerated in this server.

Many of us left a certain game because of the toxic tribalism that lead to the stagnation of this genre for decades. Let's not recreate it. There is room in this genre for many games, and for people to play multiple of them, so there is no need for tribalism.
