Paralives build mode is actually really nice, with how many modular objects it has, almost free staircase placement, free placement in Z-axes, near-free object placement on surfaces, and curved walls. I do find inZOI’s build mode more precise though, which is kind of the deal-sealer for me. But I hope inZOI is taking notes on how to make build mode more fun with less frustration.

As for gameplay, the card system is interesting, but it also kind of forces the pacing in a way I found a bit immersion-breaking, to say the least.

Anyway, as soon as I’m done with this build, I’m probably going back to my inZOI playtime, hopefully with active school, which I'm really looking forward to, and modding.

Yesh, imo inzoi shouod definitely be taking notes from paralives build mode. Especially with the staircase placement and the ability to cut through the terrain and build walkout basements. As well as the whole object resizing and free moving and the modular windows

I was impressed with the video where James Turner built a split level house. Hopefully inzoi will get it eventually too

But in terms of object customization, I still think inzoi takes the cake since you can upload anything you want to use as texture instead of just relying of what's already in the game

So currently I think Paralives is a really great game if you love making characters and build/buy. Other than some bugs and issues it's universally considered good in that aspect
Live mode seems to the be the most divise part
Some people are really loving it and enjoying chance cards and completing the quests
Others are having issues with autonomy (especially NPCs), relationships and not liking the chance cards
I think it all comes down to what you like out of gameplay when it comes to Paralives

Chance cards feel kind of like gacha right now. Even in challenging mode, you’re mostly given options that enhance your gameplay, but randomly and for no apparent reason. It’s not like you can opt out of engaging with them either, so it ends up forcing the narrative of your gameplay in a certain direction.

When I used the upper lid it only changed the outer upper lid but nothing to change the inner lid shape

I think it's this thing, it doesn't move in-game and no collision which is fine but if the lower part parented by chest it wouldn't clip (currently the 35% moves with head)
