Pretty sure this is because of Krafton's AI-first statement, not because of Inzoi specifically. Remember Krafton is more than just Inzoi. There was that whole debacle with Subnautica 2 as well which was bad PR for Krafton.

Stocks are very sensitive to negative media about a company, especially when it concerns really big franchises such as Subnautica. Around the same time Cahaya was released, Subnautica's founders spoke out against Krafton and also announced they'd be sueing them I believe.

Subnautica 2 was supposed to be one of Krafton's biggest releases in the upcoming year, and now not a lot of people still have faith in it becoming a good game.

Yes, yes, I get that, only the first stock crash happened before Aug 12 (the date of the Subnautica 2 news publication), then there was a decline, and during the DLC (from Gamescom onward, until the moment when another 100k copies of InZOI were sold) there was a reverse from the lows of 310 up to the highs of 344. But with a downward trend, a positive background regarding one franchise (and against the backdrop of Subnautica 2 delay / lawsuits) can push to go long. Following that logic, a confident move with inZOI’s multiplayer could slightly reverse the trend, since it keeps steadily aiming at 200.

PUBG has created a steady plateau, and from there they would inevitably face a clear failure, even with Tango Gameworks / Hi-Fi Rush, and finally the EA release of Subnautica 2.

It might also just be because they aren't really marketing Inzoi globally at the moment, so it doesn't really have a positive affect on the stocks for now. I'm not sure how widely known Inzoi and its multiplayer plans are outside the community that is already actively watching Inzoi's progress and development. It's not like they have a big marketing campaign rolled out promoting the upcoming multiplayer. Inzoi seems to be progressing relatively radio-silent (which is also noticeable in this discord, most faces are familiar by now, we're not getting a big influx of new fans atm). I think it's too early to connect Inzoi's progress to Krafton's entire stock, because I do think to the vast majority of people who invest in game stock, Inzoi is simply an unknown factor not worth jumping onto atm.

Maybe they don't want too much of a spotlight on the game until they feel it's good enough for a truly large audience.

But yeah Krafton in general hasn't been doing great, and all of the stuff that's been published about the company in the past 6 months probably doesn't help. Stock declines usually take a lot of good press to be able to turn it around. In the meantime, people will just keep jumping ship causing a negative spiral purely based on 'this stock is declining so I better tap out'. For whatever reason, a lot of people who buy stock still don't seem to understand the basic rule of 'don't tap out when you're in the red, it's not a loss until you withdraw it' lol

This is also pure speculation on my part but I do believe that the whole gamestop stock meme has caused a lot of people to invest in more game-related stocks, even people who don't really know much about stock (retail shareholders basically), they tend to be very sensitive to a small decline, much like in crypto.

I do expect a large marketing campaign on multiplayer in the future, maybe when they feel there's enough substantial MP content to keep a steady player base active

B. I do think out of all the games, it's the hardest to make sims I like visually. Sims 2 and 4 do allow a lot of diverse forms of customisation when it comes to (modded) style.
