Sims 3 is incompatible with new processors. I would imagine Sims 2 has the same problem. See if there's an alders lake mod that fixes it

You’re one of the lucky ones 😭 Sadly EA hasn’t truly optimised the game to fit today’s standards and many just struggle to even launch it due to bad optimisation

Try maybe going into sim creation and turn everything into low setting (make sure to put shadow low setting) and then you make your sim and turn everything into the settings you want (except shadows)

Try installing Lady Duchess' RPC launcher and the George patch/crack

Or try installing the game out of the program files. So install it to anything that isn't in the program files
