Yeah I'm not repairing anything with my own, gaming Desktop Laptop that's why instead I'm just doing quick fixes to it without taking it apart related to over heating. For cooling it without having to take it apart. And I already had some success already enough I would say.

Yes I even undervolt my cpu already by fooling, around with the power setting in advance mode in a way that was simple within Windows 10 Pro. But that even wasn't a enough well, to keep my gaming Laptop cool so I had switch to just using a Cooling Pad too as well which's working decent enough so far.

However this still room for me improve, though without me even having open up the Laptop and risks breaking things. For running it cooler whenever I'm gaming or web browsing which has 32 GB of ram. I plan upgrading it 64 GB of ram though later on. So at some point I'll be required to open my, gaming Laptop up but only for adding more ram that's it.

Yeah I'm going to have upgrade, my own RPM further too 10,500 RPM with the Laptop gaming cooling pad. For what figure out that I can do, by combing smaller fans on my unit that're like mini size to fit under the Laptop too.

Legion's are pretty funny and the quiet, balanced, and performance modes for cooling and power and such are often kinda buggy. I've noticed that balanced mode often provides better cooling than performance with the exact same performance so that is worth a try as well
