My hometown doesn't have much nature built into the area, so I am just so happy about seeing some bits of nature even in Seoul

My college town was in a rural area but surrounded by trees and nature. I missed going on hikes and appreciating nature so much when I was forced to move back home after I graduated

I think Seoul is a good middle ground

It's the people and their dedication that make the university I teach at what it is. Some of the people who taught me as a student are still working there (some in admin) and I learn from them still too. Really nice buildings..neighborhood has some safety concerns...but quite safe on campus. I will walk with a group though if using pedways in evening.

My school was small but the community was great. The professors cared so much. They knew all of our names and did their best to help all students. Eventually students even marched to show support to them when they were working without a contract

I am sessional so by the semester, but my school has really good opportunities for permanency, great environment/staff, and middle of the road/fair wages. I also for the first time this year in my life had healthcare benefits through work...so I'm happy. At a lot of schools sessional teaching is a dead end...whereas here I have a reasonable chance of becoming permenant...and right now plenty of courses so no worries on a lack of work.

I quit one because the server owner reversed a decision I made about someone's actions that I knew and could prove was going against community guidelines and her own rules .
