Does anyone have a VR set? I'm debating. I have PSVR and I hate the screen door effect, the fact that I'm wired and that it can't track my control when I'm turned away from camera. I'm thinking of quest 3 but there's not many more games out now than when I bought mine years ago. It's kinda disappointing. For those that have it, do you all play it regularly

If you have a good PC that’s powerful enough i could not suggest the valve index more. All of it is so incredibly durable, the amount of times i’ve walked myself into the mirror or flung my hands against the wall and the controllers HAVENT broken? it’s pretty amazing

For the index you need a decent wifi connection and a good pc. There’s certain requirements and ports your computer needs or it will not run. I’m pretty sure it also won’t run via laptop but i’ve never tried it.

Overall i would say it’s one of the best headsets ive ever tried. I haven’t really explored into other headsets since because ive never felt the need to. It’s light enough, durable, comfortable, everything you could ask for.

I do suggest however buying to fan for the front USB and taking the glass panel OFF. I can link you to the one I use i forget what it’s called. They didn’t plan very well with the whole air ventilation and sometimes it can get a little hot with prolonged use.

I have experiance with the quest 2 and to be honest it is a piece of ass. It was so uncomfortable and the cables were super super unreliable would break so often it was a waste of money. For stand alone the battery was good in the controllers but crap for the headset.

And if you’re ever looking for any accessories i would suggest trackers from vive if you ever look into that area! I have 4 vive trackers and they work amazing. I use it for blade and sorcery and social VR.

the quest lets you adjust the barrier so it’s not a constant wire-frame.
it’s about finding your sweet spot and dialing the border down so you’re not quite slamming your head/hand into a wall

i always make my boundaries bigger than my actual room to stop the collision showing my room. you can also just have an option where a grid will appear if you get too close OR no warning at all which is what i have mine on
