I play shining Nikki but really limit how much I spend now. I used to spend close to $100 on some events so I'm try hard to save diamonds when I get them and not spend money any more.

Global is a mess though, they are speeding through events to try to catch up with the Chinese server I believe.

Girl same omg I used to spend like a minimum of $100 a week on events. Sometimes $400 on things like hell events and suits I really wanted. Lowkey the game was an addiction tbh I was the definition of a whale 😅😭 I had to stop playing entirely cause it was just too frustrating 😭 I came back for the vocaloid and Disney events but I haven’t played send then.

People have been saying they’re speeding thru global events to catch up to CN since 2017! You’d think they’d have caught up by now! I was on global and CN servers during the first global witch Hecate run and CN was doing the witch Hecate event too but it ran for 4 days in global and 10 on the CN server 🤨

I kind of just don’t believe they’re still trying to catch up. I just think atp they know the whales will keep whaling as long as they feel it’s necessary to on the global servers 😭

so i started to play the sims 4 again. haven't touch in 2 years, and the game keeps spawning fat, ugly sims. whatever update they did sucks. i went to debug mode and spawn 50 women and only 2 came out athletic / slim. I suggest to try to do something simpler for your next render. Think of what you understand about modeling so far and try to think of something you’d enjoy making that wouldn’t challenge that knowledge too much.

Challenging yourself is great! But with blender things can become insanely overwhelming very quickly when you’re in the beginning stages!

I remember before I made my computer model I struggled just to make a plain coffee cup on my own!

Blender is one of those things where truly every failure will slowly lead to larger successes though. Every mesh you start, whether you finish them or not, you’re learning how to better adapt to things!

doesnt matter what kind, as long as ur pc can handle it just do something to the mesh

no aim, simply to see the results of everything

thank you! so i'm trying to figure out how to do old cartoon network style and decided to draw me and a friend's characters in it. this guy is Z, and he flat irons his hair which is naturally curly

the issue i'm having is that i quickly did an older iteration of him where he's older and has a daughter. when he's older, he keeps his hair natural often and i wanted to do a look where it's all pulled back into a ponytail but because of the flat head top, it made him look like he was balding, so i tried to put some stylized braids at the front? but it seems like a mess visually...

and if i nolonger make the top of his head flat, i feel like it loses the style and the feeling it had before. are there any suggestions on how i can fix this? 🤔

I think it’s possible to add a little bit of curly hair to the top without totally losing the character design 🤔 perhaps you could make it look like there’s a little bit of bangs that the braids are coming out of? You could also add it just to the front of the top of his head and perhaps find a way to blend then down so the back bit is still flat if you feel it’ll better keep the integrity of the artstyle 🤔 like basically add a bit of poof until his sideburns and then keep the rest flat? or you could maybe add some loose strands off to the sides of the braids as well and use that as an excuse to add a tad bit of volume to the top of his head

I think there’s definitely several things you could try! You’ll likely just have to play around with it until you find something you like. This definitely seems like one of those things that’ll be easier to know what looks best to you once you’re actually looking at it!

I'm trying to visualize what you're saying but it's a little difficult, but i will add that with his hair texture, any hair that is out will just go straight up, it doesn't tend to frame his face or go down unless he puts something in it which he doesn't do very often, and he has an undercut as well so there's no long enough hair that curls to go down to his side burns. i'll still give it a shot though!

just spent today installing mods for FF7 (OG) on the steam deck. using a mod manager called "7th Heaven". I haven't played it before... was going to wait until all 3 games + decent sales are out , but that might be like 6-10 years for the PC lol. I think it looks much better and there are modders that even voiced NPCs!!

A little. I mean I can't even figure out how to uninstall the mod manager. 😭 Lol. I had to install a few programs to get it to work but I really don't know what I'm doing. 😆. The install was messed up so I wanted to uninstall, but couldn't figure out how. There's an uninstall exe that came with the mod manager that didn't work. Neither did clicking uninstall work from applications. 😭

Anyways it's really easy to format the steam deck. 😅 Probably will do that after I'm done with this.

It's because all these programs are meant for Windows.

Sims mods are really easy to install. Drag + drop files. Somewhere.

a random pop up shows up when I click the exe to say i don't[ have permission. ugh. lol anyways, honestly a format/install is easy since most of my games are on the SD card and most things are cloud saves and when i reinstall the OS system, all my SD card games just work. I just lose all the stuff installed locally.

Flatseal is a program that lets you change the permissions of each flatpak, so flatpak applications have permissions like Android apps or something, Flatseal lets you change these permissions 🙂 useful to have

Nono, so what happened is you ran a script that someone else wrote basically that downloaded it separately and applied some patches and stuff to FF7's game directory to make 7th heaven work

You wouldn't see it on Discover because Discover is like using the Microsoft App Store, while that other script is like downloading an exe, it wouldn't appear on the App Store 🙂

to get rid of the 7th Heaven from the menus, open Dolphin, press ctrl-l, go to "~/.local/share/applications" (copy and paste that exactly without the quotes into the box, and you should see 7th Heaven.desktop or something in there
