Does anyone know which audio setting controls the music that plays when you get into the (M)ap mode ?
It's not background audio
It's not UI Audio
It's not Video Audio...

Trying to configure all volume to be mild except sound effects and so far was pretty successful, but the map music is just too loud 🙁

Also it's really annoying the that musical cues that plays based on emotion are tied to the "UI" Audio.
I want the UI audio loud but not the emotion musical cues, for obvious reasons.
( sigh ) I guess I'll have to make a few QoL suggestions...

Actually never mind... The map audio is the "Background Audio". Dunno why it didnt show much of a difference between 100% and 60% but set it to 2% and I can barely hear it.

I've been reworking the Junghwa Parkville property, making use of a larger footprint, changing main entrance to that little boardwalk at the back, and stacking more beds for my large family. Did not manage 14 like I wanted, but managed a solid and natural 12. the missing 2 will need to sleep in the hallways if/when we get there.
But by the time the last one is born, the first one should be married and on his/her own.

Also they really should rework those need timers... It's seriously out of whack for a core issue.
The scaling from 48min is causing issues like this. They need to de-couple it from the 48min and program them PROPERLY for each of the 4 game time.

They really need to work on those enneagrams. They MUST work on them.
This is so important. Well, as much as getting needs depletion/recuperation right for all game time.
It's the core of their game and it's been out for a year already.
I'm a bit surprised they have not fixed these 2 issues yet (well except for 48min for needs, but I have not played 48min in over 9 months, so dunno if it's fixed, but I dont see 48min player complaining about needs

Actually, fundamental things are still missing or flawed and need correction before high school and school life, and the fact that they've ignored an important issue like genetics 🧬and focused all their attention solely on high school and school life has disappointed me. Especially the fact that my requests, which I've been constantly mentioning for weeks, such as

1. making the distance culling feature toggle on/off,
2. adding separate hair and makeup options for each outfit,

No, he didn't say that for distance culling, he's saying it for a different reason. Nothing will happen at a distance; what I mean is, in the October update, they added "distance culling," where Zoi and cars disappear after a certain distance. They need to make this optional. It looks really bad.

It's too early for high school life; there are many more features that need fixing and upgrading before that. For example, the simple thing about hair and makeup – having different styles for each outfit – and the other features they want to add are surely much more complicated. The genetic system, the hair and makeup system – these are the priorities and the fundamental areas that need fixing in the game. But now they're obsessed with high school life... come on!

They are "obsessed" because it was highly requested from many, many players. I agree that a lot of the fundamentals need adjusting but they have already said they are doing this. In the meantime, they are actually listening to players and adding gameplay that players want. Fixing fundamentals is a behind the scenes thing, new gameplay elements draws in new players and keeps older players engaged. This is a great strategy for an early access game. Anyone that wants a stable game needs to wait for full release.

Just read Kjun post. I expected I would be so, and yes I am disappointed.
It was an update about the school system after all and it takes all of the attention.

I guess I am just stubborn and I feel they should really focus on fixing the core game before adding new things (that will need refinement and fixes too).

Some little things are piling up and I would much rather see a full month or 2 of only fixing those rather than adding more careers, active schools, and other things. Will say however that if they bundle fixes with those update then fine. But I feel we could be getting far more done far more quickly if they focused on the basics only.

More content is always nice, but... it would be even better if the core game got more fixes.

I’m thinking MTX could focus on offering individual features or content at a lower price, like unlocking playable systems such as a hospital, and to a lesser extent things like different 3D outfit models, though not entirely out of the picture. DLCs, on the other hand, could bundle these together into a single package, making them cheaper overall, but with the trade-off that players might have to pay for content they don’t actually want.

Yeah, that’s a valid concern, although I don’t think there are that many cases where it would be a major issue. Influencers and YouTubers do bring value by generating hype and effectively promoting the game, so if they’re getting more downloads, that's nice in its own way too.
That said, I think most players will still download content based on what they actually want, rather than just following popularity blindly or out of altruistim. It could turn into a numbers game to some extent, but it’s still something worth considering, since creators and modders are a big part of what keeps life-sim games going imo.

A good rule of thumb I learned from playing The Sims 4 in its early phase (as Idk how it is now) is not to release overpriced DLCs without fixing existing bugs. It leaves players with the impression that the company cares more about money than anything else.

I will say that even though the graphics look awesome on the comp, it really is only a few steps above GeForce. Where I see the difference most is in the speed of the camera etc

Right, this was the drawback with Geforce. If I played during peak hours, my connection would get slightly blurry. And the non peak hours are during the day

I don't know if its because they've optimized to cater to low end PCS but the visuals are at ten whereas on Geforce I'd say they're at eight.

I do think Geforce is a great service, I will sing its praises because without it, I would not have been able to experience InZoi in the way that I enjoy ( cinematic ultra mode)

That’s true, I wouldn’t have played nearly as often if it weren’t for Geforce. I would’ve waited until much later to get a new PC. I can imagine how people felt that didn’t know about it. What’s sad is that it’s still so many people that don’t know about it

Yeah a lot of people don't know about it or don't understand how it works. It really is basically access to your own high end PC. It has its flaws but I'd say they are minimal compared to how well it works

And a new computer is just so expensive.

And with Geforce you can play so many games too
