Hi everyone, I think the latest update might have introduced some issues. My game consistently freezes/crashes right after the initial logo.
I’m running an RTX 5070 and I’ve already tried the following troubleshooting steps with no success:
Cleared the game cache.
Removed all mods.
Performed a full clean reinstall.
Despite this, the crash persists. Is anyone else with a 50-series card experiencing this? Any help would be appreciated!

Check your resolution settings. Try full screen instead of windowed full screen etc.

Anybody that is complaining about locations still feeling empty is lying in my opinion because In my game every location is packed with 34-60 npc’s

I think the thing is a venue can take a while to 'fill up' in other words the Zois seem to migrate to your location.
But it can take a while. And at first the place might seem empty.

That use to happen to me before the February update but now some npc is at the location and some is walking beside my zoi to go inside the venue

I finish playing my Senior Zoi with 0.25x speed and she got to live from 89-121 days. She died of old age. Which it was awesome. Finally can play with senior zois and they live just like they did when the game first was release. I’m so happy!!!!

Seems relatively stable, had a bit of stuttering while walking (walking feeling stiff) and the flashing light issue was back... Then there was the housing issues (that was annoying to fix). Other than that, with the 2 hotfixes, seems pretty good now.

I was okay with just the enneagrams. They could've tripled those (as one archetype usually contains 3 personality) and added depth and personality to each ones (without removing 4 and turning 2 others into negatives).

• the game does not tell you how long each group works from the menu, so you have to do the math in your head, on a calculator, or in a nExcel spreadsheet.
• Also, it does not work from the main menu for some reason, you have to change it when in the simulation after you start/load your game

It can be turned as percentage like the others, so I really do not see why not.

Imagine a game where you set age groups to like... umm... 10-20 days but set a pregnancy to 30 days.

So if you look in interactionbags, it shows a SLMActionKeyword thingy, those are the words that make smartzoi do that action autonomously

I tried ADDING custom words and they didn't work, but I got already existing ones to work by flagging 'ExposeToSLM' as true

Oh, well, then there's a chance it'll be fixed soon.) Actually, I read that many people have random crashes, but for me, it only crashes when trying to move my family into a town. am i the only one experiencing increased loading time when i loading in a save? and it happens all the time when a big update comes. it is so frustrated that i have to start over again making new families...

Well when a 'big' update comes you do have to wait for the shaders to compile but that should be a one time thing.

I ran into something weird yesterday while fooling around.
I found when I switched the graphics settings from Ultra to Low the game took a long time to load?
You would think it woudl be the opposite.

I was playing around with afterburner to see my cpu usage and temps when I was trying tha texperiment and not at all what I expected!

BTW just for the heck of it. The temperature of 70c stayed about the same regardless of graphics settings.
I suppose that is due to the cooling. But I though for sure it would run cooler at low settings.

i keep mine on ultra i just wish realistic shadows didnt flicker

On low it was around 70-80% spiking to 99 occassionally.
On Ultra it was flatlined at 99%
