i mean like 203 nits in menus, then in gameplay, switch to 300.
it's would be same function as high fps 60FPS menus
Ah thats good
With no ui mod doesnt matter if its at 500
Only notes will be affected
Update:
- Fixed white clip default set too high incorrectly.
- Separate UI Brightness (Menu & Gameplay)
I'm doing 300 rn. The max I'll got is 400.
but also some PV UI level elems. lens flare moment.
The song that more destroy notes is kipple industry, i did a test and at 400-500 notes are recovered
but then if i put 500 for example unhappy refrain looks bad
because of that
a pity
ill use 300-350 for now and menu at 300
@void pawn steam interface works for u on the game?
i have a recommendation, i think things in red should be removed and yellow renamed to "screen peak nits"
there is people dumber than me 😂
and i think red settings doesnt worth to be tweaked by users
just to make the mod anti-dumb people
The ones at top are default Luma. I've already changed some (UI Paper White dimming on Separate activation). The more I change, the more I can't merge back into Luma. I'll have to ask Pumbo, but then every mod must be changed to manually do those sliders.
For bottom stuff, sure, I can hide those again.
I think so
how do i fix this?
wth. seems like you are missing redistributable dependency.
might be this, but idk since its not specific https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/
next time, send the full .log file too.
more info = better
Update:
- Luma tab made easier for out of box experience.
- Fixed dumb saving setting issues.
- Individual PV tuning waits until first song.
i removed the hard to understand stuff from brightness section.
that needed commenting out and changing more stuff from the global core file.
gonna be fun trying to update to newest Luma whenever that's needed 💀
nice
what this mean
"Individual PV waits until first song."
thanks, it works properly rn
I'm kinda surprised you never had that installed in the first place lol. I insta download that when setting up new PC
the code checks for PV ID to activate. sometimes, i found it apply on launch for some reason, thinking it's in a song.
I might have already asked this, but has anyone tested this on the deck? I am willing to give it a shot. And I do understand that Luma requires some non-default dependencies.
yea, someone on GameBanana said it works. Someone else here some time ago said it worked too.
oh lol. "Individual PV Tuning"
typo ahh
yes iirc it worked, but lately all my reshade stuff on deck got broken, it keeps giving me an error it's an outdated version and cannot load any renodx, i haven't figured it out yet. that's with using the Decky/Reshadeitforme plugin, it should work if you install reshade manually but atm the Decky method is still broken for me
since there are actually many on steam deck, do you want to help write a README for installing?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
all I did was copy and paste
works just fine
aside from lyall's mod for some reason causing it to crop
lol gamma explanation google slides
yea lol, it was the easiest to make. hopefully, all is needed to understand the mismatch.
wait, it's still broken?
like does non-16:9 aspect ratio work with the mod?
Luma is fine
Lyall's mod causes it to crop
regardless of whether you're using luma or not
Oh. Someone in YouTube comments said they couldnt open ReShade menu at first when HOME is default.
How did you get around that? Editing ReShade.ini?
I just mapped the left trackpad to the home button
Update:
- SDR won't be affected by Separate UI Brightness
- GammaPerceptualChrominanceCorrect to high pass chrominance gain from Gamma Correction and FakeBT2020, keep shadows slightly more desaturated.
@void pawn im doing some test on linux
but i can not make work the mod
hdr is not avaliable luma stays on sdr
what distro are you using?
maybe i can ask someone i know who uses linux more
i was testing on cachyos
hdr was enabled on system
i tried forcing with gamescope and was able to enable it ingame, but didnt look how it should
maybe gamma correction. linux doesnt need gamma correction
did it look deep fried?
can you take a pic? idk what's going on. i wonder if steam deck suffer from the same thing and we never knew.
