Dying Light 2 and Dishonored 2 were always my biggest targets
i let them wait for a long time
does the game run like shit in DX11 mode?
it has slightly less perf compared to DX12
and ofc no RT/FG

they use a earlier downgraded version of DL2
so I was wondering what the logistics of HDR support for that would be?

@deep tangle i'd imagine the tonemap/post process shaders are mostly the same?
previously they only supported DX11 but Miru helped to port shaders to make DX12 work with the mod as well + RT

About this, its just an uneducated guess looking back now
The game has a full DX12 renderer but somehow they are loading all shaders and materials from the dx11 shader database when they also ship dx12
RT is still heavy but more like unoptimized. In DL2 they have to use screen space tracing first because BVH is very simplified and missing grasses, then the actual RT traces 1000 units where most of the assets arent even in the BVH at that distance XD
W3 RT ends up being nearly as perf intensive as 2077 PT
with massive CPU bottlenecks
we're talking a 9800X3D with tuned DDR5 can just about hold 60 in Novigrad but mostly in the 50s

still game looks nice imo, just much darker than i first played it

But this will also have a Reno hence both in the title

Just wanted to say that I too hope this will eventually be revisited, as I've put off finishing Dying Light 2 for years due to the lack of HDR (and Windows Auto HDR and RTX HDR doesn't work well in the game I think). Would also love to figure out a way to turn off the game's color grading
I also can't play the second and third games because the second one doesn't have HDR ๐

Aims to Improve overall game lighting by improving & minimizing auto exposure (Eye Adaption) when going in and out a building... while also not breaking game brightness etc
the beast is a sequel to the first game
so far I haven't seen any references to 2
yeah you don't need to play the 2nd game to play the 3rd
would probably give yourself whip last from playing all the games back to back
Hi, when I start the game with the mod it becomes extremely dark, and if frame generation is enabled the image freezes until I turn it off.
I know itโs not finished yet, but is there any temporary way to get it working?
Or does this also require a data2/data7 pak mod like in the case of Beast?
