because i've patched everything you've given me, and i believe you did give me everything, but the lut builder's history is only appearing now as an input texture. there's seemingly no shader that is building it... which seems to mean that it can't be replaced, either.

@frank heart i think i actually just confirmed that they are being replaced, the devkit just appears to be doing something weird. i'm thinking there might just be a bug with what's pushed to the repo right now or something as well, because sliders like game/ui brightness are behaving correctly (i think), but very strangely.

Known issue:
The game has changed how it handles its LUT builders. They seem to no longer update on each frame, but either at some interval or in response to changes to their inputs. Sliders like game brightness, UI brightness, etc. are included in those inputs. This means that while the sliders function properly, they will behave a little strangely. For example, the UI brightness slider will appear to affect the game, but the game's brightness will then correct itself once the LUT builder is updated. Please tell me if there are any cases where they appear to actually function incorrectly even after the LUT builders reload.

I've gotten ue4ss to almost work in Nikki but they specifically look for uuu 🤔

If you mean things that are bright going to white instead of maintaining their chromaticity, you might be thinking of blowout instead

Ah yes the game dev classic. I've seen multiple games explicitly ban reshade signed or otherwise ...by checking for dxgi...
That's to be expected with ACE active. It doesn't really stop you entirely from using kernel functions but some stuff will randomly be guarded.
They have a ton of custom plugins for animation and really anything character related so uuu wouldn't be able to do much. UEVR at least used to get me access to everything. I even had a weird dev console thing unlocked with commands for spawning or possessing NPCs, ran around as momo with Nikki's skeleton and shit. Since the multiplayer update they seem to have changed a lot of stuff though due to replication and all that and I noticed in the live gui view I don't see much stuff anymore, but I think I can just use a dumped sdk. Anyway I'm working on general UE support for my tools first but it's on my radar

The same as you described, like moving in the game can clamp, the skills of the characters is the same, so i had to try to follow some list he did for some characters skills parts of it clamps, and i’m either blind or they are going really fast and i’m not used to see it
He did show me how it looks on his PC, and it was like the screen had for a fraction of a second a gray filter of some sorts

That does seem to be the common belief from what I have seen going around at least.
if you are using the updated version of the mod, this is probably an issue with frame gen. You need to downgade your version of dlssfg to 3.8.1 to avoid this issue while ClShortFuse is working on a solution for the transformer (dlss4) version of dlss frame generation.
I didn’t use frame gen, never had this issue before.
Then are you sure you're using the mod updated for 2.6 ?
If you are, UI brightness should only affect UI and pre-rendered cutscenes. And maybe artwork for events, but really that's it. But if you're running a pre patch version of the mod, then yes. The slider is going to affect brightness everywhere.

cuz i have to deal with clamping in ults in wuwa, and i wasted soo much time trying to get the ult full, getting the snapshot right, then getting to test 10 shaders meaning 10 ults every time and if it doesn’t work try it again

i mean, when you slow down the game it will slow down all actions, including the effects, that’s where the shader is, and some of them clamp fast, so in theory slowing down the game will also slow down the shader >.> meaning i can see clear as day when it camps and i can take a snapshot of it and dump it for patching

I guess its fine to share here you guys are just hdr nerds whatever. First of all you must have user account control enabled and the ACE services need to be set to manual start and not currently running. We are gonna make it so the game does not try to elevate priviliges which prevents it from spawning the kernel anticheat component. It can occasionally kick you back to menu or crash you but this prevents ACE from starting at all. Only game using ACE that doesn't mandate starting as admin. Its not bannable because people can do it by accident due to not being on an admin account. tbh you can also just launch the game normally and close the prompt to elevate privileges but this is better

there is still internal antidebug, anticheat and a pipe connecting to KRSDK.exe which protects account and payment stuff. If you want peace of mind you can suspend that process after you login.You still can't have reshade as dxgi.dll in the game folder, it still forces crashes in some cases, e.g. before this patch you could delete streamline, xess, and amdfidelityfx but now you must have at least one of those or it forces you to crash. tbh the main benefit I see to this is that you can load dlls post launch since you can already do anything you want if you get the game to load your dll but there's also genuinely no downside to doing it

Because i know from linux people that completely stripping away the anti-cheat does get you kicked from the server every 20 minutes or so.

why don't you use a display mode where it properly clips instead of using 4000 and get double tonemapping

Game mode doesn't magically make your tv do 3300 nits, the absolute limit for gen 2 panels is 2000 nits, at 3330 nits your tv would die in like an hour, its not physically possible
