and has insanely high rates
you have like a 30% chance to get a 6* on every 10 pull
it's so much better than the other big gacha's it's not even funny
with average luck you literally get most weapons and it doesn't take away from your character pull currency
and on top of that you have better f2p options and the 2nd best weapon for each character is literally in the free battlepass
AND you get the weapon currency from pulling on standard banner
i think there is a lot of things you just don't understand about the gacha if you say it's the "worst gacha"
Use the one posted here instead of that one, the github build is older and missing some fixes for the newer patches

I like using the built in hdr look preset
Default renodx settings for this game are basically the same as sdr but with hdr highlights (except vignette is disabled), so not the most impactful hdr image out there
Hdr look preset would give you more of the look you would normally associate with hdr games
what setting do you leave color filter strength?

You can turn it down to 0 if you dont want raised shadows in some scenes but leave it at max if you want the dev's intended look and mood ig

how do i install reshade for zzz, i pointed it at the zenless.exe and picked directx11
dropped the addon64 file in the same folder as the zenless exe
but no reshade overlay when im ingame
tried pointing it at the launcher too but that didnt work either
Installing Reshade "as usual" (which adds Reshade as a file name dxgi.dll in the game's folder) doesn't work with Zenless Zone Zero. You need to inject it into the game with another tool before the game loads.
I think the following tools can do the job:
- SpecialK
- Optiscaler
- inject64.exe (command line tool provided by ReShade)

Apparently they are in the beta, but who the fuck knows with Hoyo enabling/disabling the dx12 parameters every other patch

no matter where I put the addons file I don't see renodx in the reshade menu
dx12 hasn't been available these past few versions
do you know which folder the addon is supposed to go in?

but reshade addons should go wherever the reshade dll is

Not sure if it's enabled by default in the beta, just saw leakers showing the option once again. Though it'd suggest it's by default since they didn't bother mentioning it every time the flag was available again.
Well. If you don't have to force it anymore, might be a good sign that it is being taken as a serious option to finally implement. It's the first time I've seen more talk about this feature than a couple of posts. But as it was not in the dev talks my guess is that it won't be around for the livestream, maybe for 3.1, 3.2. Although it'd be a feature worth of an Anniversary update, bloat it a bit and appeal to a broader audience.
Updated for version 2.8, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND RESETTING YOUR PRESETS
- Updated to use Swapchain V2
- Rewrote mod to use Neutwo LMS (not Psycho); color grading sliders are real time now (lut strength/scaling may still require scene change).
- Updated HDR Look preset

I just tuned it up a bit though. The rest I leave on default. It looks perfect anyways. Maybe Neutwo already has brighter highlights? Or maybe it's the contrast after playing on SDR for a week haha.

Its left to the default 50 and looks kinda dull like that tbh
Turned it up to 65 and immediately looks nicer and more expected of that hdr pop like how the old hdr look preset was imo
Same with highlight saturation as well id turn it up to 60
Also is the shadows slider broken? I dont see any difference between having it at 0 or 100

It works, just has a very minor effect
I left it at default as I didn’t like the way highlights began to clip after turning it up along with contrast
There seems to be an issue with Vital View in VR Training mode, where the character effects are green during it, instead of the color they're supposed to be.
I'd test it again, but I'm out of battery.
The character was Yixuan, if that makes a difference.
Good to know yeah, I dumped shaders and fixed them all blind. Some shaders do mix up color channels before lut sampling and that’s what causes the mixed up color effects
I’ll take a look after work to find and fix the relevant shader
- Fixed incorrect colors during vital view / Yixuan alternate sprint in VR training
Thanks for the update. Finding it difficult to tune the sliders since neutwo clips the highlights and contrast much faster than the old tone mapper and blows out to white early. Highlights slider also increases midtones too.
Noticed that reds start to turn more orange as well at default settings

also can we set bloom intensity lower than vanilla? its still quite noticeable at 0.
the highlight slider is strange yeah it's not like before
some areas it increases midtones other areas not
like lumina square and dynamic wallpaper
it affects the character skin a lot
also vr training and general stages are tinted very yellow
maybe it's a tonemapper diff?
new mod is using max channel with gamut compression/decompression in the lutbuilder and for lutsampling which should preserve more hues compared to previously with upgradetonemap
so the yellow tint in different stages comes down to preserving more of the hues?

in endfield i had to be conservative with the saturation, but I can easily push bot contr and sat into 65 without getting into oversaturation and skin turning yellow. With this it feels like the haze got lifted from zzz.

I'll never get why they did that. The character designs already lack vibrant colors and the pull a haze over it to make colors even less vibrant.
if you ever feel that Reno Saturation makes the screen do weird colors, the HDRSaturation shader from ReShade ups the saturation less harsh often times
Like, imagine getting a char in zzz like furina, who is a feast for the eyes that like blue. Or alhaitham with the teal. Or Nefer with the green.
i used a red mod for ysg for a while. Man, was that beautiful.

Is there a way to delay inject Reshade using the manual injection method? Getting pretty annoying to successfully inject around 50% of the time when trying to boot up the game.
i just use xxmi to inject. It works every time. Tho there's an overhead fs.

I had the discord build from the start, but it was just RHI that overwrote it accidentally
yeah the wiki is now up-to-date, so you don't need to have an exception anymore

Although I don't really use RHI for this game cause the way I inject reshade to the game doesn't really play well with RHI. Which is why it's weird RHI even overwrote it cause I never had the addon installed through RHI in the first place
maybe we should get Rank on board to add those injection methods too for the 2.0 release of RHI 😉

You could use xxmi for injection too
You can set it up so it bypasses the migoto dll entirely if you don't want the mod aspect of it and only use it as a reshade injector

there is no xxmi in my appdata, and if I install the reshade in the main xxmi folder, there is no "XXMI Reshade Extension" folder created it's just the Reshade folder

for some reason I have XXMI Launcher renamde to ZenlessZoneZero ignore that, shouldn't be the issue i think tho, because XXMI/ZZMI have always been working like this

@feral gulch renodx doesnt seem to work within the lumite mine hollow, image doesnt change at all having it enabled or disabled

And if the rt perf is anything like what weve seen previously then its prolly gonna be quite unoptimized for non nvidia gpus anyways when u spoof one through optiscaler

ZZZ is already way to heavy on the CPU for it's own good, so RT will tank fps even on nvidia.

DLAA is much needed. SMAA just doesn't cut it and TAA is straight up dogwater.
In most other games its rt perf isnt too far behind 5070ti (outside of extremely heavy rt/pt implementations)

We had a DX12 version of the plugin at some point (for a few versions you could actually enable DX12, RT and DLSS by using a parameter at launch, then they disabled it...then it was back, then they re-disabled it

So i guess just need to update that branch.
but it was before Nick changed a bunch of things in his DX11 branch recently.
