#⛔Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Luma Native HDR
1464 messages · Page 2 of 2 (latest)
the command should be sys_MaxFPS
BTW
at least that's what I have in my modded game
In game it shows as that I think, but for some reason in the main menu it does not
you can try and create an autoexec.cfg file and put " -devmode" as launch option
according to the kdc.log file they load OK like that
Would you mind explaining this a bit more? Not sure how to do that
create blank file, call it autoexec.cfg, open it with notepad++ or whatever text editor you use and put all of the command you would like to use on that file. then save. after that go on steam, and right click on the game, proprieties, here it should say launch option and set -devmode. close and open the game
for example I put all of these in mine. at the start of the game they will be loaded automatically
Oh, nice!
Those improve visual quality I guess. How much fps cost? Might copy them 😛
- The Illumination stuff it improves the base game low quality illumination. no idea about the FPS cost but it's not high.
- the Textures stuff basically increases the game mipmap LOD value to prevent the game from constantly reloading the mipmaps from the disk. this costs around2-4 fps.
- the combat setting I wouldn't copy. those are based on some mods I use.
- the Basic teaks I don't remember what they do. Been too long since I put them there.
- Sys dependent same as the basic tweaks. Like I know what they do but I don't remember why I put them.
- The random ones are literally random. Have cursor while aiming with the bow, save whenever you want (hate having to use the saviour schnapps), FOV adjustment, max fps (this unlocks the cutscene fps too. they ar elocked to 30 fps in the vanilla game), no motion blur (fuck motion blur). I think the horse_cameracentering one if to prevent the camera going all over the place while horse riding
that0s about it
here are a bunch of settings that the game read. no idea what most of them do specifically but I remember the shadow stuff were brutal. like massive FPS decrease.
Yeah I know there´s some brutal ones. I have a 4080 so I guess copying most of yours should be safe
Thanks a lot for the info!!!
I actually have this in my launch parameters. Didn´t remember
I think I found those parameters from this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1342?tab=description
And this just executes this
if you have that you need to create a user.cfg file instead.
Yea i have it already. It´s the same as you´re using basically, no?
Ohhh I see
Well i actually don´t need to type them ingame at all honestly
Just load them from the config file
I could put your settings in the user.cfg file, right?
everytime you launch the game it creates a kdc.log file inside the game folder. open that and see if those commands gets loaded
yeah it's the same
The motion blur setting disables it?
you need to put this thing " " at the start and end of the command
"+exec user.cfg"
Ohhh ok, done
try now
Should I just use the settings in this one?
Minus the heavy performance settings
Yeah just tried them and solid 60fps with noticeable quality increase
Nice!
I still get the Sysmax error in the menu tho
Once ingame tho it seems to be working
no idea TBH. I would probably increase the max though. your GPU should be able to do 144 no problem
Im playing in a 60hz TV
oh lol
Yeah need to get a new one lol. This one has great HDR but only 60hz at 4K
I don´t have much of an issue with that tho. 60 is more than fine to me
meh it's fine.
yeah i agree. in 4K too.
Yeah I already figured this one out, my bad!
My brain not braining a lot today
np
I will probably get to supporting the GOG version at some point
@grand urchin no mentions of piracy on this server. This is a warning.
hm
oh jxr
I got it working, but the hdr analysis shader thing only shows it maxxing out at around 400
actually no, I think it's working right
i just had to look at the sun
i feel like the sun in this game inherently doesn't look like a sun
i do have max nits set to 3000 (hisense u8n)
It seems right, but I'm new to this and I'm just not quite sure
If the sun pushes peak it should be good
Torches, reflections on armors and body waters get very bright too
This seems to make interiors darker which is lovely, I felt like kcd was washed out quite a bit in light and dark areas in sdr
This mod makes it f feel like a modern game lol
Thank you
Yeah the game has awful gamma, even forests at night look quite washed out
also hdr seems to fix the awful sky banding
no matter what I tried I could not get the sky to not look terrible, but it looks great now
lovely!
I think it's work in progress
Ah alright ^^
That's the bloom, it's a whole mess
Really??? Jeez, seriously the worst bloom I've seen
I don't remember looking like this on my end. I'll check in about 50 minutes
It just seems inherently broken
Can I remove the bloom entirely? I remember the sun looked weirdly square even on console
I'm really hoping kcd2 uh, looks better
It only happens at certain angles and time of day
I see
I can put out a hotfix later
I already have it fixed but there is a lot more related to the sun and bloom that needs fixing. And I have not found a good solution yet
does the game look bad if you remove all bloom?
Yeah what the hell
@sand dove r_hdrbloom=0 makes the sun not look awful
But I don't know how else it affects the game
I mean I also turned on beams and volumetric fog
Without bloom there's a weird slightly green outline but
Idk
I suppose I can't be so picky
I am aware
Ah
I haven't seen any issues with turning bloom off
Woman's lot dlc kinda sucks
Damn that looks gorgeous
Johanka'a part of it is very good
Later in the game
Theresa part is just wtf
Cant leave it till you finish
With chances of making you stop playing and delete
Yeah I wasn't expecting such a long drawn out mission
Especially because I started it right after the prologue!
Oof
I've played the game once years ago. But it seriously didn't let me finish the game because I didn't do a dlc quest so I gave up
I got a odd error, what do I need to do? xD And yes I've got the latest C++ Resdistributable installed
For referance I have only the GoG version, so that may be the reason for this odd error message?
Gog isn’t supported
didnt expect that GOG version would be changing anything that impacts reno
kinda wild TBH that the DRM free version isn't supported
yeah thats 100% true a 100% odd
what is the reason ?
I'm also curious to know @sand dove xD
So I got the Steamversion now installed, I installed it how it it should be, now I am wondering, how do I notice that it's workin correctly? I get no erreror message upon startup and no overlay to custimize it inside the game.
Because luma mods are more indepth and hook into specific memory values in the .exe and iirc it changes depending on the build for each launcher aswell as version of the game
That's why starfield luma breaks sometimes with games updates
now I'm curious see if the mod works if you use the steam .exe, remove the steam drm, put it in the gog version
😂😂😂
Well this is not reno
Oops my bad
Does this work with epic games version now?
Afaik no
@sand dove sorry for the ping. I had to download the game from scratch so I lost my luma installation. Is luma like reno in the sense that I need a specific reshade version for it to work or can I just use the latest? and do yuo recommend the Engine files from the pinned message or the one here? #1277368582535381012 message
the luma mod for kcd1 does not rely on reshade to work
it only makes sliders appear
so it should work with any version
Thank you!
and i think the latest pin is the latest version yes :p
aaaw, no GOG version support? 😭
This thread is for KCD1, you probably mean KCD2, thread here: https://discord.com/channels/1161035767917850784/1337078063481225277
Hey, I’ve set up this mod for KCD1 on steam deck, and everything works great except that after exiting the game and re-launching I need to reapply the mod for HDR to trigger and start working.
This is on Linux, SteamOS, have added the command DXVK_HDR=1 but I still have to reinstall the mod every time I launch the game.
Steam version, btw.
Just to add, I only need to copy and paste the .pak files in the engine folder for the mod to start working again. The dll and .asi files don’t need any tinkering with
how u explain it i would guess steam replaces the .pak file each launch with the one shared by the steamdeck pool
like the shader cache
i don't have a deck so I'm not sure how it works
Hmm, makes sense. I’ll look into preventing that from happening. Thanks for the tip
@reef nacelle might know better
✅Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Luma Native HDR
Guys one question, I use hdr 400 tb on my monitor and with the reshade installed it only gives the option for peak brightness and brightness multiplier.
My issue is that the regular game brightness is so high even when setting it to the lowest multiplier which is 0.5 that the highlights doesn’t even pop at all lol, is there a way to lower the regular game brightness even more? I looked for the config.ini file but couldn’t find anything, sorry if the solution is obvious but I’m fairly new to all this modding for hdr
Will there be any chance for GOG version support in the future? 🙏
doubt
damn it... didn't know that executables can have such a difference. I guess no HDR for those of us who prefer DRM-free gaming/ownership :/
The game doesn't have many highlights to start with
Except the sun and torches
And these disappear at a distance lol
You're fairly limited with 400 nits in details sadly
Yeah the thing is that I mostly play at night lol so it’s plenty for me and in this case it’s almost too bright when it’s sunny in the game
Don’t worry man, the game still looks good in sdr, specially if you’re on an oled display
I know, but still a shame to miss out on the sun, glints in the armor, better colour and all the shiny fire effects just because of DRM
Yeah I originally got it for free on Epic but bought on sale on steam for like $2 for this mod lol
2 bucks? Which country is that? Or was it a keyshop? xD
if you already bought the game once, I wouldn't worry too much
I generally buy games twice if I already bought or received a game on Steam (or other DRM'd store) in a bundle or as a freebie, like it and want a DRM-free copy for archiving, then I'll pick up a GOG version. But definitely not the other way around (why would I want to pay extra to get a DRM-locked copy). Just bummed out about the mod, but not gonna get out of my way to pay for another copy. I'll have to get away with ITM or something.
did u know that for maybe most games, the GoG version is just the Steam version with a "crack" pre-applied 😄 ? That the devs agreed to of course.
I wouldn't say that, since I talk to GOG staff and such, I know that there's definitely dev-side build separation going on
maybe some devs do that "pre-cracking" for ease, but they usually maintain a separate branch/build, especially if the game involves more than 1 DRM method, online activations and so on, since GOG's rules stipulate that no mandatory logins/accounts/DRM be present in the builds. If a game has Steam Workshop integration - that's another reason for a separate build for GOG. That sorta stuff.
and then obviously the other benefit of GOG is the premade installers that you don't get with Steam.
When a game on Steam is installed - it runs a script to check for and install prerequisites - your VC reidstributables and any extras the game may need, create file paths and associations. If you just zip up the finished steam game (let's say one of the games on there that doesn't actually have DRM) - you may run into issues running that game on a fresh system and not necessarily know why.
With a GOG installer - the prerequisites are installed and all the paths created by the installer, so it's a far more graceful way to preserve a game
So it's just my preference to buy on GOG where possible. I've run into issues with online DRM or steam randomly logging me out even on their own damn device (Steam Deck) - luckily it never happened on a plane, but it did once happen on a train when I had only a patchy cellular connection, so I don't consider DRM to be a good thing at all, at least not for consumers who paid money for the game. The pirates have no DRM anyway, so they don't run into authentication or offline play issues, sometimes the performance even improves when CPU cycles aren't wasted on some anti-tamper garbage (assuming proper removal, rather than a client-side DRM server spoof). It just feels like an insult to paying customers, since they're the only ones truly fucked by DRM, at the end of the day.
It was steam, the regional price for Latam is a bless lol we got Silksong for $7 here
blerg
he can still use special k
Hey that’s true, also rtx hdr even tho isn’t ideal still looks better than sdr imo
dayum, that's cheap silk
If a game has Steam Workshop integration - that's another reason for a separate build for GOG
i disagree here, game with steam workshop on GOG can still download mods from steam workshop
if you own steam/gog version
Even if the game is launched without a launcher, heroic/galaxy, if Steam is open, the mods you subscribe to will be downloaded when the game launches
@placid locust you cna just ask here lol
people on reddit wouldn't know much about the mod
@sand dove so W1cH0 has 400 nits peak on the mod but he says some elements are 1000 nits with your analyzer
i'm not sure why
you could provide screenshots W1

Thanks a lot!
your display would hardclip anything above 450 anyways
@sand dove hey! So I’m just curious, I have set my monitor to true black 400 and the mod settings with 400 nits peak brightness, I was using your tool to analyze the peaks and general brightness of the game with the mod and noticed that during certain parts of the game like during dialogue options it was showing nits up to 1,000 nits
Is my display actually showing 1000 nits in those areas or is it just the tool showing what it should be displaying? During normal gameplay the peaks stay at 400 nits as configured
Yah it shouldn’t display more than the 450 nits or so the hdr tb400 is capable of right?
Tonight will try with another game like god of war 2018 and baldurs gate 3 to see if the same happens there with the Reno mods
ya screenshot with reshade if you see that issue
Hmm not really sure how to screen shot with the reshade menu tho, would a screenshot with the nvidia overlay work the same?
Ok, will try tonight
nits or CLL?
Nits
Lilian is here
lol yeah I couldn’t fix the post title
Screenshot
There you go, the first one is during gameplay, peaks start at or below the 400 nit mark but when there is dialogue or cutscenes it goes way up, I couldn’t replicate the 800-1000 nit peaks because the part where that happened was a few days ago and my save file was replaced with newer ones
oh I see but it's not the UI it's just some highlights going brighter
you're fine
your display would hard clip
probly something to do with the game eye exposure and HDR
during cutscenes
maybe a shader causing this
Nice, nothing to worry about then
ah yeah there is additional post processing after tone mapping which makes some pixels go brighter but it doesn't matter
dialogue and cutscenes add additional sharpening after tone mapping
to keep it simple I just let those values as is
Interesting, thank you for your time
Is there any way this mod could possibly work with the GOG version? Like with a small code modification or something
I will look into it when I have interest again
silent prayers initiated 😅
Thank you. I appreciate this.
You have installed direct x version of reshade ?
The install directions made it seem like I didn’t have to but I’ll install it. Hopefully that’s it.
still not loading properly
looks fine?
did you use the add-on version of ReShade?
yes, I did. Perhaps this was not the ideal scene and I need to check out a bright scene to test highlights. It looked very SDR here
there is an extra reshade window to adjust the game
you mean the mod sliders?
ye
they were not doing much either. Do they effect real time change?
yes
then I didn't see any noticeable change after tinkering with them 🤷♂️
show screenshot of the sliders
the rainy scene looks exactly the same to me btw, so all good
here we go
It feels like it isn’t doing full HDR tone-mapping. It mostly leaves the image as is and is possibly just pushing the brightest bits higher so highlights pop. Is this the case?
the luminance multiplier adjust the overall brightness (I named it weirdly because I couldn't come up with anything different)
also that whole sequence is just that dark, nothing that can be done about that
Gotcha, that’s what I was thinking as well. Need to actually play the game now so I can test other areas. Is it possible to add tone mapping sliders?
ok not even, it's close to then end of the post stage, where the scene exposure is already applied
peak luminance is the tone mapping target
Well not really you need to be able to change other aspects as well besides just the brightness/exposure
i should have said tonemapping and color grading sliders like gamma, contrast, highlights, hue, sat etc
my bad
Check sun and torches
this is for the Steam version only right, doesn't work with EGS version?
Ye steam only
Anyone have a fix for mouse cursor not working in menus?
Well.. it is being caused by Display Commander add on
I have DC and it’s working fine
highlights are so blown out for me, or rather the auto exposure seems so aggressive. is that normal
basically anything super bright due to auto exposure turns completely white for me, which produces garish looking colors
depending on where I look the sky or things in the distance also turn white, or shift colors
maybe my install is broken
yeah, the auto-exposure kills it, but there's nothing that can be done about it, afaik.
I might have an idea for this
maxch tonemap + oklab blowout
and not using the clipped stuff with restored clipped luminance
-# cries in GOG 😭
I'd only got the other way. If I have ownership (GOG), then rental (Steam) does not entice, only the other way around. Ehhh
Gabe has enough billions
Is it the home button for reno settings ? Nothing shows up and i seem to lose any input on the game when i press it. I have the steam version
Its whatever you have set up on reshade
This luma mods doesn't come by default with reshade but if you install it with it you'll have sliders yes
hey , how can i configure the hdr settings
oh so i installed luma mod first, can i install reshade after itt ?
ya no problem
it works without reshade it's just optional to have the sliders in real time
oh thanks
I'm finding the peak brightness consistently exceeds the value I set it to, trying to make it stay at 1000 nits but to no avail, the luminace multiplier setting sort of work but it's still all over the place...
Maybe sharpening or AA running after tonemapping?
If it’s just that then it won’t actually be perceptible as overshoot
True, I will check!
Yeah not sure, tried a bunch of stuff but it's always overshooting the peak brightness, sometimes it works correctly then it will just go way over my monitors limit
by how much
sometimes it goes up to 1800 nits
you sure
I have the mod set to just under 1000 nits, HDR analysis will frequently show around 1200/1300nits and sometimes higher
hard to tell in this scene if the image is actually getting that bright though
Inspect the waveform
I don't understand the waveform like that, perhaps you could explain to me?
Just look at it?
it's over 200nits above my set peak brightness value, sometimes reaching 2000 nits
oh you are drunk here. the drunk effect adds a lot of post processing after tone mapping, and I can't move the tone mapping after that as the drunk effect only dynamically turns on and is basically the last thing that gets applied.
sorry I didn't see that the waveform was in screenshot as I was on just checking on my phone.
Off topic but is it possible to disable the sharpening that is forced in cutscenes?
There’s a mod for it in kcd2 but kcd1 it reenables itself after every cutscene even when sharpening is disabled in user cfg
oh how can i configure the peak brightness ? please tell
Instlal reshade with addon support
You get sliders
🛠️Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Luma Native HDR
What settings do you ppl use? Getting bad frametimes and 85% gpu usage on very high. 4080 and r5 7600
I'm running mix of ultra and very high, 4k 70fps and frametimes seem perfect. But I have a 9800X3D. I think you're CPU limited. Not sure what settings hit CPU in particular.
I think the game is limited somewhat by being a d3d11 game. iirc dxvk can help
I have to say I've been blown away by how smooth the game is, I can't remember the last time I played a game like this with virtually zero stutter.
I did notice a little shader comp stutter though but it actually does clear up quickly.
U are talking about kcd1 and not 2 right?
Because rattay at nighttime is one of the most cpu brutal areas I’ve ever seen in a game
Cryengine magic
Yeah except that one area tho the first game is pretty smooth and 0 stutter
Looks great for the year it released too
I get GPU limited when there's too many light sources at night. But 9800X3D has no problems at the 70fps limit I've set
I tried, but the game launches with a black screen only
i have a 4060 Ti 16gb and it tries its best but it struggles sometimes. And so I tried using puredark's DLSS frame gen mod at one point, but there was so much overhead that the small FPS increase wasn't worth the huge increase in latency
So I tried turning on smooth motion in profile inspector and it is the closest thing to magic i've ever seen
literally doubled the framerate, not even a hint of added latency, and is visually at least equal to if not better looking than DLSS frame gen.. no ghosting or artifacts at all
does this work if my copy is a non steam game? but installed on steam. im getting error DKU_H
Needs to be the steam version
hey guys, where can I download Kingdom Come: Deliverance mod? I thought it was here but I can't seem to find it
pin
This is for the 1st version of the game right? i already know where to get for KCD 2
any idea how to use this with puredark dlss mod?
don't think you can
puredark needs to add compatibility iirc
dang, no fix for non-steam. Ahh well...
@sand dove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_gLXjKFYQg wake up honey TIME TO WERK

Enjoy a massive performance leap with up to 60FPS, ultra...
i'm not sure it even has anything new on pc
seems like nothing burger
not even dlss
Next gen no dlss

fuck
AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) v1.2
lmao
1440p to 4k upscaled with fsr1
on consoles
YouTubers were claiming a stable 60 I’m kind of skeptical
they seem to have optimized the engine further even on the cpu side
Even with a 7800x3d I could def dip below 60 in the huge battles and rattay
Improved performance
Improved performance throughout the entire game, with notable outliers being
Massively improved performance in demanding scenarios such as in-game cutscenes, battles and dialogues
Massively improved performance in demanding locations such as big cities with many NPCs and foliage dense areas
Dynamic Resolution implementation for smoother framerate in GPU demanding areas
Upgraded rendering backend using modern graphical APIs
CryEngine heavily modified with many improvements and optimizations tailored for the PS5 and Xbox Series hardware
Improved and optimized multithreading to better utilize all available cores
Improved and optimized asset streaming to reduce stutters and pop-ins
Reworked culling to reduce amount of unnecessary draw calls
These are just the highlights of the biggest changes made in order to reach 60FPS with the target quality of Ultra

I wonder if we are getting any of those performance improvements on PC?
like they updated the engine for consoles but not PC?
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

⛔Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Luma Native HDR
@stark hound did you ever check if KCD1 ships the pdb?
Let me reinstall and see
my internet is ass
mine is not faster 🙂
I meant with updating the game btw
Is there a link to the full patch notes? I don't see the ones you posted here on Steam's patch update: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/379430/view/536625646950942336?l=english
those seem to be the console specific changes only
only bug fixes on PC it seems
Ah, ok. I'd hope for the perf fixes on PC as well. Although I personally don't need it as much with my machine (still haven't finish the game lol)
would be next to the exe
ya no pdb
idk how do I see when the last update was on gog
ok it says updated today
Guessing a patch to the mod is needed to fix this?
: (
🙁
Maybe try the steam console to downgrade the game version so that the mod still works in the meantime?
Not even FSR on PC, which they added on consoles. Just a bunch of bug fixes of rare issues
fsr1 is meh anyways
Lmao, wrote my comment before scrolling a bit further
Devs had an update release stream and one of them said it's "ai upscaling"
Not just "meh" FSR 1 is barely upscaling at all, lmao
could add DLSS if we move this to Luma-Framework.
Code was about identical to Prey.
of course I tried installing this yesterday
What do you mean? I using puredark dlss atm
have native hdr + dlss
Dlss from?
(It would be awesome)
luma framework
Thats great i didn't know was possible
A Modern day classic, PREY by Arkane has been brought into 2024.
Thanks to the talented developers Pumbo (Graphics) and Ersh (Reverse Engineering) HDR, DLSS, 240 FPS, Better Ultrawide Support and improved Graphics have been brought to Prey via one simple mod

Kcd on pc have no upscaling option (even in new 1.9.7, im on 1.9.6 for pd upscaler)
that's if lilium wants to import stuff into luma-framework
More than great!
Any news?

doesn't work with the latest patch?
yeah latest patch is currently broken
If anyone wants to use the hdr mod, you can download the KCD version before the latest patch with steam depot
however make sure to download the latest version and launch it once at least, otherwise license check will fail
Sweet, realized you can't open newer saves if you roll back though but I hadn't progressed very far anyway
Would be really nice, trying DLDSR to get decent image AA cripples perf with 4K
Before I rebuy this on GOG, does anyone know if you can download the old version there that works with this mod?
No it was only working for Steam release
Any way to downgrade the game, and keep steam tracking hours and achievements?
Using steam depot might do it
In Windows run, use steam://open/console to open the steam console
Then it is a matter of using download_depot <AppID> <DepotID> <ManifestID>
To download an older build of the game
Could also just make a shortcut to the console instead
The ID's you can find on steamdb
It worked, thanks a lot
Do I need to re-download the dlcs one by one?
Cause I downloaded only the main game manifest
yes you have to download them all. i got all these
so main game (goldmaster), bin files (goldmaster_bin) and the 3 dlc packages
thank you
took me some time to realize I needed the goldmaster_bin
I wanted to replay this game, but now I see the mod does not work anymore with the latest version. I do see that the game is on the WIP DLSS list from Pumba from a few days ago though! 😄 Great! 😄 I have enough other games to play meanwhile
Try removing the dll/addon file from this mod, and using reshade with the Luma generic mod instead. Keep the other files from this mod.
the game does start this way, but I have a black screen, with the occasional flicker of the main menu flashing in and out of existence for a split second, thengoing black again
No idea what to do with these settings
You can downgrade the game instead if you really want to play with the mod
Yea, I saw it a few posts before mine. It is an option, but knowing that there is a new version of the mod coming with DLSS as well, I might as well wait. Thanks for thinking with me though!
Another
ugh
i hate when updates ruin the hdr mods, hopefully it will get fixed soon
The HDR mod still works with the latest version if you replace WHGame.dll in bin\win64 with the pre February update 1.9.6 version. You do not need to replace anything else beyond the mod files themselves. The main menu logic is broken on the initial load, but pressing Esc brings it up.
This also lets you acces your save files again if the steam depot method locked you out of them. That said, I would only do this if you are desparate and fully understand the risk that it could permanently corrupt your saves.
I was able to start a new game and play all the way to Pribyslavitz without any major issues. The only oddity was the ambient music behaving strangely, but I went into settings and set the music volume to zero, which removed it. Prerendered and in engine cutscenes still play music and with the correct behavior, even if you set music volume to zero. I cannot guarantee there are no other problems, but I am planning to finish all quests and DLC and will report back if I run into any bugs.
Great to hear, hopefully this means the fix isn’t that difficult to make it work properly again
Kcd under development for a full luma mod?
Dlss would be nice
@haughty tusk got dlss running I think.
But we'd need coordinate to make liliums work compatible with Luma Framework.
I'd love to do it.
Didn't yet, but can have another look into it. Prey has r_AntialiasingTAAPattern so maybe it'll work on KCD.
r_AntialiasingTAAPattern does work, we have jitters!
May do it than.
Ahhh man, another hardcore Henry run sounds like its in my future
If it one day works on the GOG version - I'd love to replay 😔
Welp, not only the update broke the Luma HDR, it also broke DXVK. The game just won't start with it 🙁 It's not a big deal, but it did help with performance a bit.
Just got a tandem OLED monitor and was excited to try this game in HDR as it already looked good on my IPS and I was loving the gameplay too.
Welp, I guess SDR it is till the mod is fixed.
Any ideas on whether RTX HDR works good for this? I might try it post work today, but given I have no experience of HDR outside of movies, don't know what to expect.
Implemented DLSS, but one part of it will need rework, and motion vectors may be improved.
I recommend setting r_AntialiasingTAAPattern to 4 via console or config. The 4 pattern (6 in Prey) is almost same as the one in Dishonored 2, 1 jitter is different.
imo playing it with rtx hdr is still better than sdr so i would start playing it that way, its a long game after all you might get lucky and the mod gets fixed before you play but it is common to see mods stop working after updates
Another option is downgrading the game in the meantime but that might not work depending on your save file
Optimized DLSS. r_AntialiasingTAAPattern 4 is now required to be set via console or config files for DLSS to work properly.
Needs more testing.
Hello ! Is this fixed? Just to be sure 😅
For anyone looking : it's still broken
If you own the game on Steam you can try this to downgrade/revert to the working version:

I always prefer to be at the last update, i'm using a tweaked SK "autohdr" for now 😅 Better than nothing.
