Congrats!

Waiting for the PSU will be so painful lol cat_huh \

at minimum NVIDIA recommends a 1000 Watt PSU with 1200 watts being the recommended

#

so no a 600W PSU would not be enough as a 5090 pulls 575W on its own

your PSU will shut down the entire pc before the 16-pin connector could melt

#

if you don't want to sell your 5090 to get a 5080/4090 and 1000 W PSU plus excess money, try power limit to 100 W skull

Is this some trolling query or did you genuinely not know? With a single 600 watt power supply, it could be possible to power those entry-level GPUs like GeForce RTX 5060, 5050, 4060, 3060, 2060, almost every GT/GTX GPU, and even the integrated-GPU-only system. Trying to get RTX 5090 (or 4090) to work with just 600w would likely have to downclock and limit power that GPU, limiting the high potential for RTX 5090, otherwise you can expect your 600w power supply to lose power faster. mikascaredcat_wtfmakiworried

As much as other members agreed, 1200W, 1600W or over is more preferred for GeForce RTX 5090, where the power supply itself is not only powering just one GPU but also other components like CPU, a second GPU if have, fans/cooling system and other peripherals. If you don't want to sell that power supply, you can opt for a second power supply with a bit more or higher wattage, though this can be challenging to set up and not always preferred for most scenarios.

any reason why you refuse to upgrade your PSU?

#

it obviously requires 1000-1200 W PSU unless you try set power limit to 100 W

You could have do some research before start decide on purchase the components. Otherwise, you can expect some disagreements on your initial and outdated experience here. anime_pray
