cumfyUI is what we use most of the time. look on it as on sort of 'environment' for stable diffusion.
You can get similar results in Forge, and it is much easier, therefore I recommend to go this way at the start.
so, just go ahead, ask gpt or grok or whatever 'how to install forge for sd' and just do it. (there is just an easy way going into forge's git and smash 1click installation, nothing fancy. if I remember correctly it will even install python env for you)
sd model - you need illustrious model, that's what we use most of the time. if you have at least 3050 with 8Gb vRAM (mandatory) or better - you good
for model just go to civit and search for whatever that catches your eye

look at how defined the pixels are in my image then zoom in to one of yours and you'll notice the difference

easy fix, downscale to 0.25x the original resolution, then upscale again by 4x or 8x

using nearest neighbor scaling, don't use bilinear or lanczos

I assume it uses some heavy model/models for gen, something similiar to flux/qwen. some ass heavy stuff like 30gb+. and probably it's generating plus inpainting it regarding on your prompt. plus clip model. Idk, I think it's heavy af

before each upscale, I downsize the image so the upscale doesnt take as long while retaining the extra detail refinement from the image prior
