that depends a bit on the settings but mostly on how the model was trained, the programs mostly do performance and feature related updates

so yeah, if you can't cough in your goku roleplay, it's completely normal, RVC can't do all non-speech sounds super realistically

don't expect it to get solved soon, since RVC doesn't have any major quality improvements since 2023

yeah exactly, there's nothing that surpasses RVC in Speech-To-Speech quality wise, and the original dev team has kinda left the project to rot for different reasons, like how hard it would be to upgrade and they are also doing other projects

Trying to get w-okada to work, but just not having any luck getting anything to sound decent or even close to what the samples are on weights etc.
I have w-okada RVC running fine with a few models i've downloaded and are trying to play with. No issues with delay or choppiness or anything, it just doesn't really sound right. I'm running on an RX5700 XT but it happens both GPU and CPU.
Anyone have guides I can follow to try and get something working semi-accurately? I've tried playing with pitch and index but it seems only my pitch changes - maybe my accent is just too strong but I wouldn't think so?

AMD Radeon RX 550 is quite the slower and lower than any other newer Radeon RX GPU, so don't always expect the W-Okada to work well with that GPU. I observed that this RX 550 has 4GB of VRAM, which is a rare one because I only found ones with 2GB VRAM. The minimum possible being AMD Radeon RX 560, which typically has 4GB VRAM and is a bit step up from RX 550.

I have everything set properly as far I know, GPU is set right, mic is set, output is set to virtual line, monitor is set to headphones (tried that both on and off). Only time I got a result was occassionally when testing mic on discord. And even then it briefly had the voice change then it'd just repeat endlessly.

For a PC with NVIDIA GeForce RTX, download these files.

The ones that say "cuda" are made for NVIDIA GPU, these two files are split into two parts so always download both of them and then use WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract one. The "cpu" one is simply made for CPU-only and has no known capability to run with any GPU regardless.

Both .zip.001 and .zip.002 have to be in the same folder, and use WinRAR or 7-Zip to open the .zip.001 one. Either zip program will temporarily combine into a single zip.

You don't need to rename any of these file extension, because if you do so it won't work.

mel = how close the resulting audio spectrogram matches the dataset

That's something a "newbie" would ask. To download Tg Develop W-Okada NVIDIA version, go to the GitHub, download both voice-changer-windows-amd64-cuda.zip.001

The input/output audio settings would look something like this on Tg Develop W-Okada fork.

Is "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" your main speaker? Doesn't the NVIDIA one comes from your NVIDIA GeForce GPU through HDMI/DisplayPort? And how about the one that says "Realtek(R) Audio" or "Realtek High Definition Audio"?

Also, pitch extraction algorithm (F0) is supposed to be rmvpe, not rmvpe_onnx. The rmvpe_onnx is for non-NVIDIA GPU like AMD Radeon and Intel Arc. While extra number is always be 2.7 s, unless you have experienced any lag before.

The AMD Radeon Vega one is an integrated GPU, while NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 has just 2GB VRAM. You can try run Deiteris/Tg Develop W-Okada forks or Vonovox locally with NVIDIA GPU, but either program would likely to struggle to run along with most parts. For more performance and less latency possible, consider for an online cloud service like Kaggle, but you have to be on desktop to use them.

Hey so me and my friends are trying to do funny movie/show night where we use voices of the characters to kind of science fiction movie theater 3000 them as we watch as the characters but for some reason discord won't detect my mic or it gets real cut up or choppy. I run a Radeon rx 5500 xt gpu and it works for making sound bites or just seeing if the voices work but struggles if it even comes through at all on discord calls.

Wokada tg develop fork does sometimes get updates but it's just quality of life ones and don't expect too much

Wokada deiteris fork last update at the moment was b2332 on the 7th December 2024
