so as mentioned in intro a bit earlier, i am trying to do an ai tv show using ue5 n pixiv vroid. script wise im on fence but likely going to either private gpt it or just write bits n gpt the rest. I am stuck tho in terms of tts to use. ultimately I would like to do tts locally then local server API key it into ue5 so i can lip sync the vroid models in engine to it. but not sure how to go about picking wjats available on models for local tts gens.
for show specific yse case need, i have 6 named characters fer the show (keep it simple) with 4 factions of extras/crowds. so need 4 unique fem voices, 2 unique male, and 4 that are both generic individual voices/crowd voices. Show will be in Japanese & English on different bits so need both phonetic support. Extras when not doing crowd stuff will be mostly single person dialogue. An i need to API key it to UE5 on tts blueprint api plugin support. These r only 'real' constraints. show production wise, tho making it in ue5, i will probably only do it as recording stage medium (bake out to video render then host videos as shows episodes, post manual AV edit rather than live stream from engine)

yes looking for local tts capable of generating in unique voices but like geberating lots of content with same voices. parts of show will be english parts will be japanese so need both capabilities for same voice sets.
far as quality, it dsnt have to be great. id settle fer vocal synthisization rather than "deep voice" but that makes phonetic compatibility an issue. all characters will be OC so i dnt need a specific clone er that kind of thing. I'll look into SoVITS but if anything else comes to mind lemme kno.

upon review, SoVITs is too vram heavy for my use i think. runnin nvidia 1650ti laptop. id be fine ish with vocasynth similar to vocaloid or utau but different obv. problem there is static emotion n limited range of expression tho. generation wise, id probably do it in chunks, its dialogue for show +/- singing but singing ill use suno for. problem is getting coherent unique voice per character between spoken vs song. anyway gens dnt have to be real time n will be worked in small batches is point. anything else on tools come to mind? if not its k ill dig info elsewhere.

im not expecting great, this is just fer portfolio work/demo mode. barely functional is fine. that said i have managed SD3XL models on it, it takes a bit n needs reboot every 5-10 gens but it does work. if i can modify sequence length, use mixed precision and code some memory management options in (similar towards optimizing multiplexed parallel operands) via code it can work a bit better.

From personal experience? Only Rask.ai does it for me. Unless you want to manually dub with RVC by getting transcripts with Whisper and translating on DeepL iirc

if you have a good model it'll be good basically anywhere
ofc maybe not singing models cause that's a different type of talking

dubbing is kind of an art. SRT subtitle timing or not, if the languages are vastky different in structure ie your case, cantonese/mandarin to portogese, you are converting asiatic to a romance language. structurally they are vastly different. a simple 5 word sentance in cantonese might be as many as 20 words in portogese or spanish. an a lot might be lost in translation. with the excess wordage in same video timeframes relatively, certain things might need to be done manually whether its timing adjust or cut/editing the phrasing to be more succinct or looping some feames to extend the talk animation. as result, there is no true AI automatable stop gap yet for truely sync'd or perfectly translated dubbing, since both sync n translation is neither perfect or entirely accurate on automation.
