Is there a preferred TTS that the community prefers to use? I see that there is quite a few in the TTS Tools guide but I'm not sure if there is a go to tool. I plan to import RVC models found in this discord/huggingface

Thanks, I'll look into this. I see that theres a few portions on training models. Am I able to import a model and go from there? Apologies my knowledge on the topic is quite limited so I could be misunderstanding the guide and the use cases for the program

There are a few gpt sovits models on #1175430844685484042 that you can import and use (inference). The models that are tagged gpt sovits are gpt sovits models. Rvc models cant be used for inference in the gpt sovits web ui.

There isnt a direct way to do TTS with rvc models, however you can do TTS and feed the results to an RVC model. A few webuis automaticly does this for you like Applio or IlariaRVC.

Sweet, I'll look into it. So from what I understand so far, RVC is designed around use with the w-okada voice changer (or similar), however I can TTS the results by using the TTS as a base, and then feeding it through the voice changer software. Applio and IlariaRVC are just means to streamline the process. I think I'm understanding it correctly

RVC stands for Retrieval-based Voice Conversion. Its main use is to convert a voice within an audio file to a different voice. RVC has a webui to do that. wOkada voice changer is just a realtime voice changer that does the RVC model conversions realtime. Applio and IlariaRVC are forks (modifications) of the original RVC webui.

as applio tts is just (Microsoft) Edge TTS, so via Online API, it generates a TTS Audio with a random voice depending on the text you input, it just does the conversion of that audio voice to the voice of the model, so its normal it could be different, as rvc doesnt natively have tts

You could try to play around with the pitch options maybe to see if you can fix it
