Depends which phase you're talking about, training or inference?

Usually WAV files are better because they're lossless, while MP3s are lossy

There's a compromise which is FLAC, which is lossless but usually smaller files than WAVs

I'll explain what I mean. The Vocals and Instrumental are WAV files. I use weights.gg for AI Covers. (If that's okay with you guys.) I convert the voice to a different character. Example: Bumblebee from DC Super Hero Girls. Then I put both the Instrumental and Vocal files into Audacity and then export the combined file into MP3. Is that still okay or do I have to always stick with MP3?
