#For multiplayer, current gameplay mechanics make shooting other players way too forgivable.

Going off of a strictly statistical point of view, there isn't that many situations where you would actually want to aim at yourself. Even if there's a 70% chance there's a blank in the chamber, you might as well just shoot someone else since it's a 1/4 chance the next live bullet will hit you. I suggest for the multiplayer game mode, after attempting to shoot another player and failing, you are forced to shoot yourself once. (With or without a chance to use items, I'm not sure)

This would increase the stakes that comes with shooting another player, and increasing the viability of shooting yourself.

agreed, not sure what you would implement but yeah there isn't much reason to shoot yourself

For what it's worth, there is one good reason to shoot yourself - if you end the current load with a blank shot at yourself, everyone gets their items and you get to go again. Starting a new load with fresh items as the first turn is a very powerful advantage. It may be worth going for that even if you're not certain the last shell is blank.
(Don't remove the last shell with a beer though, as that does make the turn go to the next person, blank or live.)

yeah that was the one thing i didn't agree with, the rules of the game are incredibly straightforward i think if you suddenly had to shoot yourself so many people would be confused
