With the magnifying glass, sure you can see the current round but if you choose the knife, but then there's a possibility of getting double damage

well imagine this: there's 2 blanks and one live and you're on 1 HP.
if you shoot yourself, there's a 33% chance you die instantly, but otherwise now you still have a 50/50 shot of shooting him, and if you fail he gets a guaranteed win.
if you shoot him though, there's a 33% chance that you damage/kill him instantly, and then HE gets a 50/50 shot of killing you, and if he fails then you get a guaranteed win.

the odds would actually be better if you just shot him, since the only way you lose is if the live is the 2nd bullet.

If you fire 2 shots, then phone says "3rd shell is blank", that means the 5th shell of the whole load is a blank; 3rd shell from your current spot.

This way, you can afford to kinda forget about the ejected shells when counting for the phone's info. And regardless of the number of total shells or what's been ejected, the phone never tells you what the shell you're on is since that's what the magnifier's for.
