gold keys are gotten from merging. Merge the bronze to silver then the silver to gold to have gold keys. I regularly dig up my gold chest until I have 2 gold keys merges up.

you will have gold chest drop again before you can merge 5 silver keys into 2 gold keys. Waiting for the gold keys if best and saves space actually. You don't get the smaller parts.

One thing you could do is shovel the chests until you're level 20. Gazebo parts don't start showing up until level 20, so you could save your keys until then. That should save some space
