lol guys, had about 212 gems, and made a strategic investment into opening a silver box with 45 gems... turns out, they gave back so many more gems, that honestly, it didn't even feel like I lost much.... Silver is probably the best to go for on opening. Gold is really only best for if you are really short on space. Bronze just tends to create so much more clutter when you open those. You can also shovel away any chests at any time, because you'll always get more chests than you have keys. It can be very beneficial not to open up chests for a while when you are starting out so that you have more space, just be sure to hold on to all those keys.
