Max coins/gems are useful to fill open areas around the farm. If you have a couple of "holes" in all the rocks and trees or around the trucks, spawning coins/bricks/lumber and the output from reward chests might drop in them. Filling empty spots prevents the items from being dropped in an area where you don't see them as easy. This allows you to control your "drop zone" for items.

As you advance, the XP requirements for advancing get higher and the inventory of ingredients will drop enough that the trucks can sit idle for a day. That slows your XP generation down. Even with good 5merge strategy on all items, it can take a week to move one level. Don't forget the tools and greenhouse parts have high tiers that really increase XP.

You can still get to high levels with no real strategy. It justs takes longer. But, some folks aren't playing for elite status, they are playing for fun. I'm kinda that way. You can merge more, with higher outputs. Merging 8 yields 3. But really, that is a 5merge and 3merge. Merging 10 yields 4, 2 5merges. I like to 5merge because I suspect that lucky merges are based on the merge action. 1 merge of 10 is a single merge. 2 merging of 5 is 2 merges. That would be a possibility of 2 lucky merges, not just one. I don't know this for a fact. Keeping your farm layout is easier for 5 merges. organizing for 10 is too much.

3merge is fine when you need to. If you don't have a lot of space, you'll have to use three. Strategically, 5merge is the most efficient. Tactically, you need to lose efficiency for short term gains. Merge 3 and feel good. (Merging 4 or 6 by accident makes you feel bad though!)

1 - close/reopen, like all of discordyou might've done this already
2 - toggle the hardware acceleration option as long as you are playing from a PC on the app via Settings>Advanced

did you boot up the game and you're on a new farm? your save isn't lost, it's just discord having a moment accessing your save essentially/"logging in". just keep refreshing and your farm will be back in no time
