gold chests should pretty much never be opened unless ur in the earlygame

once u have enough space to open crates without feeling cramped, u should only be opening bronze and silver

Early game it's optimal to open bronze and silver chests, but in the late game you can open gold chests too.

But in general you should open what you think it's optimal for you and your farm's needs.

If you're looking let's say for greenhouse components and high-tier toolboxes, the gold should be your go-to as it gives high-tier rewards, but if you're kind of a lazy person let's say, the silver one gives mid-tier loot and good amount of gems too, the bronze ones are desireable to open when you have a lot of low-tier greenhouse components, gems, energy and so on so you can merge them.

It's pretty subjective.

And that's my personal strategy at least.

i think originally the advice was to dm modmail, but it seems to be a widespread issue for a lot of players. #1275165474186854431 is one of the threads where Percemer notes that the devs are aware and plan to release a patch to hopefully fix it for all. someone in the thread mentioned that when they did DM modmail that they just got a response that it would be fixed in a future patch and weren't doing manual fixes

energy expense is 75 per toolbox which is 225 minutes. unlocking all 3700 requires 800000 minutes which is 650 days

I just came here to ask how many toolboxes one actually need at your 20ish level, or whether there may be some guideline out there on this matter as a whole. My farm is strewn iver with these useless boxes which I so wish to do away with as many as I could.

if the information of how many resources is ultimately required is correct, this is a long journey and every toolbox matters

u need a minimum of 1000 max level toolboxes, or if u go the wasteful strategy, then 3700 toolboxes (only up to step 5), if u do step 6 too then its 2700 toolboxes

on the other hand, 100 silver stacks are required to generate 2 max coins. assuming 1 silver stack takes 10 minutes for a shop to generate, you are expected to gain 7000 exp every day (if u play 24/7) from coins

and 25 trees give you 7000 exp also, that takes 130 hours, approximately 6 days

depending on how many resource types you unlocked, it requires 40n crates to gain 240n exp.

would be great if there could be options to have all crates in this hour be all chicken.

When level 60 was the max, you did not earn XP points after reaching 60. At that point, I stopped "cooking" in the food trucks, but continued farming. I received some coins for the animal merges and 5merged them and stored coins on open land. When open space is gone, you 5merge some coins to open land. This saves XP from being lost. Once levels 61-69 opened, I had was able to 5 merge the saved coins for an immediate XP boost. (5merge tier 7 coins is your XP maker!!) I also had a necessary stock of ingredients and immediately started "cooking". Coins started rolling in. Again, 5merge the coins. Always for max XP.

So the 8merge and 10merge are considered a single merge. Since you might get a Lucky merge with each merge, the two 5merges gives you more chance for two Lucky merges. (Lucky could double your yield.) Can you get 2 Lucky merges in a row??? Not sure if I've seen that or not. Other farmers can report their experience.

i've found it pretty steady to wait on 5-merging keys if you're able to check in every 1-2hrs, plus sometimes you get a lucky merge which with an extra silver key gives you 4 keys to open 2 silver crates in one go

try not to think about the crates being on a timer, and remember the contents are roughly the same and you're gonna be merging well into the future anyway. There Is Always Another Crate

Because you have different amounts of land unlocked - If you tilt the map 45° so the squares are no longer angled, the land you've unlocked has that tree in the north-most spot, and the game will pick a tree/rock over a toolbox first

You can also get Energy from Chests. If you have a lot of toolboxes, you can burn through all that Energy with the first two levels since those are instant for the first and 30 sec for the second step. You can also do that same strategy with trees and rocks.

If you have A LOT of saved up Energy, it might be worth to get a 2nd worker so you can have one work on resources with long timers and another with shorter timers. I'm holding off on getting a 2nd Worker right now because I don't know if we get a 2nd for 7, 14, or 28 days. If it's 7 days, I probably might not get it anyways.
