May the Force be with you!

I am excited for this week. I always spend some time on May 4th and May 5th watching some Star Wars, painting Star Wars minis, playing Star Wars games, all of that! I might even use some of that recent experience and transfer it to painting some BattleTech.

I know most people here would be on for May 1st for The Battle of Tukayyid and the associated "BattleTech Day", but do you do similar for your other favorite franchises? What do you do?

Oh dear, so many choices to show off thanks to Welcome to the Nebula California...

Here's a pastiche from the Star Empire, courtesy of the Nebula California. (Such a lovely place, such a lovely space.)
Featuring a Tatsumaki, Fury Dropship, Fortress Dropship, Sirocco, Turk, Transit, Nagumo, Seydlitz, and Yellow Jacket all heavily modified.

Also, a parts build of the Muckraker Miningmech MOD

Star Wars is my second favorite fandom (after Battletech, before cyberpunk in general). I painted this guy in the same colors as a clone gunship!

I'm a big fan of Dune and at least some of the various interpretations and sequels. Not coincidentally, here's M'raud Dib. His AC-20 is a killing AC-20.

Oooh!!! Is that the spice harvester? What scale one did you use? There are 2 different models, I think. I really like that!

clever tusk
#

It is! MMS-013, there's no official scaling on this but it's clearly at a smaller scale than 6mm.

#

I want to say maybe 2mm or 3mm scale. It's very small! The other one is more the right size.

#

Some people online are saying 1/1000, so it's map scale.

umbral oracle
#

Ok, so, is this one the smaller one or bigger one?

clever tusk
#

The smaller one, 100mm in length

umbral oracle
#

Kk. I want more mech-scale, so I'll definitely snag the bigger one, but that's perfect

#

Thanks, for that!

#

I saw the kits, but wasn't sure how they scaled

I just brought StarWars into BattleTech. Or, as my brother-in-law put it. "Roids 4 Droids!"

@frail storm, you would enjoy this one lol

#

I don't think I would be able to post that, due to a non-BT mini taking up center-stage, but that is really cool!

#

oh no for sure, I just wanted to show it to Diplominator

Since we're talking other franchises, @inner kestrel, can I show 3rd party infantry I use for Battletech?

#

And, of course, because I was going for Spartans, I had to give them some support

Removing this as it was brought to my knowledge that IWM does offer vehicles in this rough category, though obviously not this exact one.

We've moved very far away from each other but one of my best friends and I decided Jayne's Day (from Firefly) was some random day in August, and every year for several years in a row we would throw a Firefly watch party and drink Mudder's Milk (i.e. dark beer like stouts or porters)

I mean, you can always go the rout of bankrupting yourself by collecting all kind of miniatures to make crossover pics. “These are not the mechs you are looking for…”

So, I... uh... realized that I was off by a day. I will need to close this here soon. If there are any last-minute entries, get em in!
