#Auto turn off AoD
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Same here, wondered if it will work if u spoof the device
Hmm
But spoofing the device would make other stuff broken (most likely)
Then I rather carrying a power bank near me all the time lol
Spoofing device will make A LOT MORE things broken
does anyone know a method or nah?I have the same issue
i used to have a automated shortcut for it to turn off when the display reaches min brightness, hoverever It doesn"t work anymore for some reason
Not as of now
Means its doesn’t turn of auto aod?after sometime?
Yes
To properly work it i have to also enable Dynamic Island?
Nope
Dynamic Island on 13 mini looks ugly tbh cuz the notch
I just want aod .if i want to switch it of?
Wdym
You can just toggle AOD from the list of tweaks
To turn of will have to disable from misaka?
No
AoD can be disabled from settings
Same in iPhones that came with AoD by default
Its worth to try in your opinion on 13mini?
Yes
Again
If you can charge most of the time
Well I mean, you can turn it off when your battery is low
Or it will automatically turn off in low power mode
Ok thanks for your reply. if i can turn it off in settings i think its good to try
And 13mini also has less nattery
Just one bug it doesn’t switch of automatically after sometime?
Don’t seems to a bug, perhaps you have to spoof the device to get it work
Andyeah
Spoofing the device will cause any issue?
No other bugs
Did you try spoofing the device?
Should have cons more than pros
Pros
AoD auto switch off (maybe)
AI stuff (I really don’t need)
Cons
System may function weird due to the hardware vs software is different
Did you try that?
spoofing
And if new notifications comes doest it switch on the screen or kept in aod mode?
No
Seems AoD
Doesn’t really notice
Thanks🙏
Weird…
When notif comes it does activate
Aside from that
It could just depend on iPhone models
That could just auto turn off AoD or sum
so what i did is make a shortcut to quickly turn on or off aod from the lockscreen
and i left aod on for like 7 hours on idle (went to sleep) from 100 it went to 93 on iphone 13 pro max with 81%bh and 699 charging cycles
Could u send it here?
Wondering if this would be exact result if mines has a LCD screen instead of Oled
sure
so i use a relatively minimal wallpaper which are black amoled to save battery and it helps saving battery. i used the 17 pro max wallpaper from nugget which is also quite dark.
it would drain a lot more on lcd since its a display and a backlight instead of each pixel individually lighting up which helps oled get more power on black wallpapers and dark mode and have more vibrant colors
As I thought.
No point in using AoD if the screen is LCD
yea its going to have major battery drain
Here’s the shortcut to turn off or on aod without needing to go to settings n stuff
Alright thanks
it would be cool if there was some way to have your phone rotate upside down to use dyanmic island. kinda how it works for the ipad os tweak
What happen to the word wrap…
Hey I have an iPhone 12 Pro with AOD, the auto off doesn’t work sadly, I did some digging and I believe the unsupported phones are actually missing a secondary plist that tells the system how to operate the proximity sensor in a manner that can use the auto off. It would need the files from a 14 Pro I believe. The difficult part is how it needs and different proximity framework which is usually within the system files. But there is a chance that the trollrestore bug might be able to edit it in a similar fashion to how it does with the mobile gestalt file. So hopefully soon this can start working! I personally am gonna tweak my configs and experiment with it till then.
Keep us updated 👍
Yup, similar thought from me, the code that tells the AoD to utilise the proximity sensor was only deployed to device who need that
i enabled AOD on my iPhone 13 and idled for 90 minutes in first 30 minutes it only ate %1 but next hour it ate 4% of my battery idk why it gave good performance at start but in other hand
raise to wake works but tap to wake doesn’t work but when i put this device in my pocket it detects and turns brightness to %0 but because it uses auto brightness it doesn’t go dark at bright room
we need to tell huy
there’s tweak in the git hub list called aod vibrancy
but it’s not in da misaka
what the diffrence between aod and aod vibrancy may i ask?
its not OSX its OS26
Ah my bad, should be macOS 26.1 Tahoe
I too used to call macOS as OS X
Whatever
yeah dw
It turns off automatically for me. I’m on an iPhone 16+ plus
works fine for me on iphone 16
Interesting....
Interesting...
battery drain is insignificant
Also how do I enable AOD vibrancy or is it already enabled when I enable AOD in miska?
like probably better than usual
We'll see if anyone have a chance of getting it working in Regular 14, 15
It's not unusual that, devices release before 14 Pro will not automatically turn off
I noticed on my 13 Pro with AOD
The always on display seems to use the normal auto brightness behavior.
If I adjust my brightness, then later lock my phone, it never dims back down.
Is this something that can be fixed eventually?
I know on an actual iPhone 14 Pro
AOD ignores the normal auto brightness settings and adjusts it anyways.
Also features that turn off AOD when in a pocket/darkroom or when walking away with AirPod or an apple watch.
They don't work
Exactly what I was asking for
Wouldn’t be surprised if it can’t be fixed.
Official AoD should have an internal config where it will utilise a specific sensor (proximity sensor perhaps) on the iPhone to sense the environment brightness to adjust the brightness of the screen.
However, it’s normal that this “config” wasn’t deployed to devices that doesn’t support AoD, as they don’t need those files/corresponding settings at first.
Unless there is a bug that can let us add back those files/settings, it’s not surprising that this “bug” will exist forever.
Its interesting how its working on base 15 and 16 models
