DIdn't you hear that lovely blue guy on the Separatist parliament?
"This is a democracy, and unlike the Republic corporations do not rule us"
š„°
Kuat and rothana is also on the council and are mega corps but no ones cares about them because they're not evil
Does he know
||Six Months?||
Canon they donāt do much but legends Kuat is pretty evil
Yeah
Doesnt kuat work for the empire as well
But also in legends CIS try to glass the core so
Well kuat is part of the Republic
So yeah
Althought dont think theyd have much of a choise
Many greedy and evil people piggyback riding on the Separatist Alliancec noble mission show their true colors and join the empire
Like the zygerians and their slave trade
True Separatists join forces with the Rebels to defeat the Empire and achieve true indepence š«”
I mean itās a fight over a fake faction so itās not really serious
||DONT RUIN IT LMAO||
I actually think Skywalker is a diservice to her character
Her whole story is her coming from an evil bloodline, looking for meaning in a good bloodline, but ultimately discovering none of that defines who she is as a person
She's just Rey, and thats all she even needed to succeed
True
I hope rey movie is like peak kino though itd be really funny
If it ever happens
Her embracing palpatine would have been more meaningful
It's not like luke and leia changed surnames after everyone found out who vader was
Although leia was already an organa
Leia got kicked out of the NR after people found out who her dad was
Loooossseeerrrr
Yea
The l in leia is for LOSER
Her embracing palpatine would be like if hitlerd living realitives were like
"Yeah I'm john hitler"
Well Rey isn't a politician like Leia
Luke didn't change his name
Actually
OMG you guys
Rey named herself after a child murderer š±
Ain't no way y'all took the bait
I ignored it after I realised it was bait
Given how much I had to scroll, I'm glad I ignored it lol
Sheās a politician too
not her fault is barriss is just fucking boring
Wait people were interested by the one dimensional ass Lyn?
Probably wojak pointing because she massacred civilians, fandom menace just looooves evil mfs
Mfw your only character development is your ending
Who did you want an entire series of again?
yes
Series is kinda mid tbh
I appreciate them trying to flesh out Morgan but I still donāt really care about her or her story
Especially knowing she just gets killed by Ahsoka like a villain of the week
The Barriss episodes were okay but I also donāt care enough about her for these episodes to hit besides her first one, but it is good to know what happens to her
The end was pretty good though, the cave being a metaphor for the empire was a bit on the nose but still a good attempt
good morning, star wars theorists
Wait you actually believed that lol
A grievous show doesn't fit in star wars, that would be dumb as hell
Nice try tho
Me watching Tales of the Mid-i. This show was peak in its visual storytelling, superior dialogue to most shows and amazing theming. Nice amount of unexplored concepts too
I'm honestly amazed people are so middling on this show, feels like people have created a self defeating prophecy
ikr
I can understand the complaints but dang
it's so much better than people are making it seem
Ong
It's okay to think characters didn't deserve redemption or whatever but to deny all the good parts is crazy
yeah
We need a Tales series about Ben Quadinaros and his redemption
And what about the glup attack on the shittos?
Yeah people watched it too casually
They didn't really pay attention š
The mountain clan were so cool
Light sisters
Yeah! Another one of those interesting concepts being explored. We already know the nightsisters use the force in a completely different way but here's yet another one and a more passive style of "magick"
Super cool stuff.
The line about "just because someone doesn't want to fight, does not mean that they cannot" or whatever it was, was absolute fire
I'm probably doing it an injustice lol
It's so cool they have this
Protective style of magic
Which they draw from the crystals
I loved that line
The fact it was an emp is so cool
The delivery was amazing
Never seen the force focus on non organics like that
Yes and a force bubble that blocked bullets too
It's cool how in the last episode that quote applies to barriss
Yeah the theming of it all and the parallels were very well done, especially for such a short runtime overall
My favourite parallel was the "predictable" lines
Mother Talzin did the same, except her use of magik against droids also included what looked like force lightning
It creates a neat parallel with the repulsion blast used by the mountain matron
It's like poetry sort of
Real
Oh yes I remember that
Yeah I loved how the background
Added to the story
Like when Morgan had the red fiery flames behind her
Relates back to the comment about Morgan's path being found too
She chose the path of destruction. To inflict on others what was done to her
I was gonna say this story wasn't written by dave
3 different writers
I imagine Dave did quite a bit of outlining though
This is one of those cases where people will either attribute too much to him, or too little
It's a common issue in the fandom rn
Yeah I'd say he wrote the main plot
But none of the dialogue
Because he's not listed as a writer
By that I mean story boards
Yeah I imagine he just guided where the plots would go and people connected all the stories together and wrote the dialogue more specifically or edited it
It's usually a boardroom style story team these days
iirc on all the episodes it says "story by dave filoni"
Pretty much
Rukh is the perfect example of how animation has improve in star wars
in rebels it seems as an ugly geonosian MF
here is still ugly MF but with more details
During the time he's an Admiral Thrawn doesn't command a fleet just the 96th Task Force. After his promotion to Grand Admiral he's given the 7th Fleet with multiple Star Destroyers among other, smaller, supporting vessels. Yet in TotE we see the 7th Fleet. So that's something that doesn't allign with the canon books. And Pellaeon serves Grand Admiral Savit until the events in Thrawn: Treason. So to see him working for Thrawn and being part of his cadre of officers in the 7the Fleet is also a contradiction of the books. I guess Filoni wanted Pellaeon there instead of Karyn Faro and/or Eli Vanto because he has plans for the former in the Mando universe.
Jokelater we already discussed this
Although i didnt think of the task force thing tbh
iād disagree, he was once an organic after all, critically ambushed and transformed into a mechanical monster manipulated by dooku into hating jedi, we saw him as a mere pawn in the war but he was a warrior in his humanoid form so that could be interesting to see before he became the boring ass 1 dimensional āi will eat your soul!ā goober that was nothing but occasional comic relief and a weak ass nuisance from time to time (2003 cartoon grievous does not count here and is my beloved)
i still thoroughly enjoyed basically everything about the mountain clan though, dying to see more but i doubt it for some reason
I want the show but it doesn't fit sorry. Would be weird for him to get an entire show dedicated to him when they can cover multiple people at once. Just doesn't really fit the theming of star wars
2003 grievous isn't grievous either
Time to accept that bruv
If anything, he's more one dimensional there.
A Tales series about him would be really cool but as you said, it doesn't fit too well with Star Wars.
Tales of the Separatists could give him a few episodes, but I also don't want Tales of the Everything
That's a good point
lux bonteri
theyād reaaally have to cherry pick their separatists though
would be hard
Right because they're so careful with their choices
tales of the sith might be more appealing
Tales of the Ahsoka (ft Dooku)
Only because the fandom has an obsession with evil characters
look into the republic during episode 1 and we get a glimpse at plagueis
The fandom on their way to have an opinion
Said it once and I'll say it again
The shuttle crash is an awful plot point that people only like because it copies Vader's backstory
Like, are you really going to defend a story beat that makes Grievous a servant to the megacorp leaders including Nute goddamm Gunray???
Not only does it take away his autonomy but it also clashes with his portrayal in EP III and CW S3 where he threatens them the moment they start giving him shit
(Speaking of comic relief, 2003 cartoon Grievous got his cape tied to a moving train while he was too busy shit talking to notice
Looney Tunes aaaah mf so intimidating
)
this is what i mean man, the guy is built to be a killing machine yet he keeps on goofing up like this
wonder how potent he was/wasnāt as an organic
star wars moment
Well he was literally a war hero, though he also fought honorably
It wasn't until his people got messed up by the jedi who had innate supernatural powers that he was like "aight fine fuck honor, winning is winning"
i see
yeah tales of the separatists and republic would go hard
has potential
a lot of potential
So Star Wars: the clone wars
Um what... I like it because it makes perfect logical sense for grievous to give birth to a soon to be life long hatred for the jedi as well as making dooku seem smart for his ability to pick out latent power and twist it to his own gain
That is so derivative of you to assume why I would like it lmao
I prefer we don't have it, but again that's derivative af
The idea of a once proud warrior turned a mechanical abomination for his own survival as it becomes little more than a pawn for Palpatine's plan of domination is interesting
But guess what?
We already have that story!
It's like TFA all over again, don't let them sell you the same movie twice
And yes I am perfectly aware that Grievous is meant to reflect an aspect of Vader much like Maul and Dooku
But I think that him being a temperamental Jedi killing cyborg with the highest military rank in his faction and an iconic breathing problem more than fills the quota :v
But yes we both agree on this bit regardless
I do love yapping š„°
We know
I'm not fucking watch this
A Non-Binary Jedi Appeared in Star Wars Tales if The Empire - Dave Filoni Exposed!
smh they made it WOKE
Dave Filoni Exposed!
How are we sure they were non binary?
The lady was referring to that Jedi as they/them because she didn't know whether it was a male or female!
Where do we even get confirmation they identify as they/them?
If it was the case then it'd be all over the news
continually referred to throughout
Yeah lemme get some popcorn
That's what I thought tooš
The kid tells barriss
more like the force tells barriss atp
Whatš
Real
I love Peter griffin
My favourite star wars character
Remember the vader vs Peter fight
Remember when Peter Griffin got really buff and entered the Fortnite universe and hit the griddy on Vader
Yes I have the skin
This looks like an flat earther evidence video
So with barriss
What tf was the point with the mask
They just give one to certain Inquis to look cooler?
Anyway Peaksoka when
It was used as theming for her pushing down her humanity
Theming or framing, I'm not sure which works better
Think of how Vader used it to hide Anakin and the things he's done
Or kylo used it to try to get rid of his latent humanity
True I thought with vader it was more cuz of the scarring though
But yeah youāre right t
It reminded me of kylo

Yeah not quite Vader, which is why I wanted to provide more than just that example
Barriss can get scenes like taking it off to try to empathize with the kid and get information out of him peacefully too
Or to hide her uneasiness not only from the room of inquisitors and Vader but also herself
I donāt mind it at all it just makes me wonder why only barriss got the helmet
Yeah nah I think it was literally just for that theming lol. They had amazing shots for that but... The actual plot itself isn't exactly the star of the show
No some of the writing got me like meh, but itās decent otherwise. Learning about morgan is cool but Iām finding her episode weaker than barrissā episodes. Iām on the last episode now
fights have been good throughout
I think that's more a compliment of Barriss than an insult on Morgan
I personally thought Morgan ended up a more consistent level of plot writing, I was far more intrigued by where things would go. Managed to provide a unique perspective on the galaxy which is important these days, especially when you're spamming content like Marvel and Star Wars
Yeah theyāre not bad I just care more about barriss for some reason, probably because sheās a new character for me
Yeah I agree
Much better character moments for Barriss stuff
Definitely jumped my interest in her, despite the failed potential of the plot
Yeah I feel like I know what you mean by that perspective, Iād have to rewatch those episodes though
But who was that dathomir lady at the start of the show
First episode I think
Saved Morgan and co. With a massive force blast or something
That was craY
I DONT EVEN CARE, SHES SO PEAK
LOSES HER DAUGHTER, SUPER FORCE EMP BLAST, SPITS FIRE DIALOGUE AND JUST LEAVES
SO BASED
Yeah that was wicked
Morgan even went on to show a direct parallel to "you chose your path" and clearly showing it was a path of destruction and doing unto others what was done to her
Unique perspectives I love
They were so damn cool in Ahsoka I ain't gonna lie
They got the Voice or some shit lmao
Itās actually so peak š
Oh yeah the witches were portrayed very nicely
Can't wait to see more of them
Most of them have one though
I'm glad everyone else agrees they were the best thing about ahsoka
Did everyone already forget about baylan
Yes
Criminal
I love what they did with baylan but I also feel like they wrote themselves in to a corner
Also (end of Baylans arc in Ahsoka Spoiler) ||Mortis being where his story leads||
"look guys, tcw reference!"
Oh fuck yeah
True and fair enough but then that just makes me ask why do some of the Inquis not have one
Nah Baylan
Baylan, Shin, Enoch, and Zombie Death troopers >
Huyang tho
It was fine, it wasnāt too satisfying to me but it had some good moments
Peak fan service
Wheres the fan servive
Wojak point at the rebels characters
Despite none of them feeling like the rebels characters except ezra
This is so false perchance
You canāt just say perchance
True... Though that also was to recontexualize anakins role in the galaxy and his prophecy so
Why did I do to deserve this I could've gone my whole life without seeing this
Me when the pre child soldier has flashbacks about her life as a child soldier
Complaining about anakin in an ahsoka show is actually crazy
Was referring to mfs in reddit and knight of melvin stans in general
My point stands
Im not saying you're wrong
Im saying 80% of viewers complain about fan service just complain
I mean that's fair lol, but then you're dangerously close to defending TROS šš
Nah that shit un redeemable
š£ļø
I tried rewatching some scenes yesterday but i simply found more plot holes and cringe
Im gonna link his channel to a friend who i think is gonna love this guy
I wanna see his reaction
ironically or unironically?

Not even kidding
He genuinely hates disney star wars
Except rogue one and andor
I think he only likes the ot
Ah, the old guard.
Lmaoo
second one had actual mortal wounds
We don't even know if barris lived lol!
That looks like her heart tbh
So
How or why did Barriss just let herself get shanked by Lyn like that
Tryna turn her back to the Good Side?
I mean she knew it came with that risk
Id assume it's her version of repentance
If she can stop another from taking her path then she's saved as many as she's doomed
Yeah thereās no way she just let herself get shanked, that had to have been planned
Indeed

I wish we got to see more about Barriss actually being a healer
I donāt recall them showing her actually healing anybody
Did look like she'd been doing it for quite some time
Probably saved some through the path too
I'd love to know the exact timelines of any jump forwards
Maybe she ends up healing herself
A novel states she used force healing post battle of geonosis on clones
Or teaches Lyn perhaps

š¤
Barriss OP tho

It's from the EU and it's in the Clone Wars but
Iāll take it
bro doesnāt know where the heart is (itās close)
