#The Acolyte Spoilers
1 messages Ā· Page 7 of 1
sol is missing with that assassin, hows to say hes not with her
He's either tracking her or got captured š¤·āāļø
He also did send out a distress call
Tbf the show does acknowledge why he'd send the call if he was the one who killed everyone
Which is what they tried to say about maul initially
It feels quite believable to me
They even made themselves believe it was only him after the fact, despite the rule of two
Why? They've been showing how flawed the teaching are since the prequels. They refuse to tell you about the dark side in case you fall to it. They don't tell you as an avoidant, they just say NO THATS BAD TO TALK ABOUT!!!. They even show constantly that they don't want to believe it when it's right in their face
Qimir even directly points to it with "they throw you away when they see darkness"
The show has also fucking said he had someone stab him in the back extremely close to their conversation about the rule of two lol
Vernestra did not. Only he did, she pushed back against it. Only choosing her words carefully so as to not outright shoot it down
I kinda like this episode, it felt like a chill in between
Some character development, backstory etc
And then next episode we get flashback and then finale
Bro the goofy ah incels like Star Wars theory are so embarrassing
For sure. Interesting character dissections when you swap where Mae and oshas place are. Well used plot device in having twins imo
Waaaaah thereās no white people waaaah
Why has nobody stopped to think that there would honestly be zero human racism in star wars lol
I strongly believe Vernestra was Qimirs old Jedi master
The whip scars, the fact she's old and that Qimir says he older than you think
The fact she wanted to go to crime scene and seemed indifferent to blaming Sol
She definitely recognized his saber slashes
It makes perfect sens
Vernestra u cheeky dog, wat u hiding girl
But I like the plaguis theory but whatever this makes more sense
I think the show runner said there will be two sith in this season so maybe
I hope we get a season 2 then
I donāt want a season 2 for the show he want it to be short and sweet
I would like to see Qimir again, or at least more stuff from this time period
Apparently the season does wrap things up but leaves space for more story to be told
We finna see
If sol doesnāt die or at least leave the order im angy
I think either Osha or Mae is gonna kill him eventually
Maybe Qimir will get Osha to do it, that would be interesting
Grrr no buttcheeks
Osha trying not to look down when qimir gets out of the pool Iām dead
I'm really enjoying Qimir (can you tell by my pfp) because honestly he's really refreshing for a sith
Like yeah he still has a lot of sith ideals but they're all rooted in the simple want to survive and thrive
He only kills to protect the knowledge of his existence really
Because he knows he will be hunted like an animal when they find out, as he was cast out by the jedi for darkness
Good character writing fr
OK you gotta watch this episode of The Acolyte with Disney+ās audio description
Yeah i get this. But still how it is not widly known that the force has a dark side and some jedi could fall to it and become a threat
Yeah yeah , took some time tho. But it's just my feeling of it
It makes more sense to them that sol fell than there's a sith
Im not blaming the show on this
Fair enough
Honestly, Im really feeling there is something building up. So i'm all in waiting the show to end before having a definitive opinion
The show started badly but Qimir really brought depth to it
Canāt wait till itās done so I can finally watch it
I hope you love it- I mean it destroys star wars
Maybe the weekly format doesnt play in its favor
Weekly format works for a mystery show, it's the short runtimes that's the problem
45 min to 1 hour ep each week, 6 episodes, maybe even 4 episode drama would've been perfect
In some ways it does
Because mystery
The discussion (when it's not dogshit) in here has honestly been really enjoyable
But in some ways it seriously harms it because people can't get the full picture until later
I just don't think office water cooler shows can really exist so easily anymore
As much as I adore the ideas
actually I'm saying that as the boys and HOTD is airing
Ignore me
Hey there is the bear, although people are mixed on s3
I only heard mixed on the ending
Shows like these are why I love the weekly format
Or like where it ends up, more accurately
Ah alright, I'm on ep 8 rn
I see
I remember watching HotD s1 with friends and talking online. Awesome memories each week
Between acolyte, the boys and HOTD... I'm eatin good
I'm fact I wanna show u something in the HotD spoiler chat, gimme a sec
Based
LIGHTSABER WHIP
Sheās great
Ngl she was smooth with it
Babe wake up new theory image dropped
i liked it alot
perhaps itās me overanalysing and/or overthinking but it revealed a fair bit
not gonna work this is particular order but here goes
from obvious to not so obvious, cortosis seems to be not so rare on whatever planet qimirs hideout is on, perhaps that strain we saw in the wall is all he has and perhaps itās not very thick/deep but iām pretty sure thatās enough to implement into some nice armor or weaponry of some kind
despite the jedi way being āavoid hate, anger, fearā yadda yadda yadda sol seems to radiate alot of bad energy imo, i mean yeah sure literally his whole team died so perhaps slamming the table just once is pretty justifiable but still, him resorting to physically hitting something out of anger, which causes him pain, pretty obvious at this point sol has a darker past that hasnāt been touched on yet since this isnāt the first time sols not so jedi like past was hinted to
(the way he confronted mae was also decently menacing, both in his dialogue and body language)
like i said, very justifiable given the circumstances of the last 2 episodes, but not very jedi like
I didn't even think that Qimir had more cortosis
i think vernestra and mog (hehehe mog) have a force ability that i canāt name rn, that allows you to āunderstandā or āexperienceā past events by either being in the presence of where said events took place or by touching something that was involved in said event, i know for sure that quinlan vos has the ability to gain knowledge or āseeā about a past event via touch as we see this in the clone wars, and maybe iām just waffling about vernestra and mog being able to understand/experience past events by being in close proximity to somewhere/something important as that could literally just be the force being the force
i only think this because we got those flashback frames while vernestra and mog were investigating, that could have been her/him actually experiencing/understanding the scene or it could literally just be for the audience so we can understand what theyāre talking about better, but thatās pretty obvious given the last episodes bloodbath, donāt really know
Pyschometry
rewatch the episode, look at the colour of qimirs helmet and a few seconds or minutes later you see the camera pan up or down the wall showing more of the bronze coloured metal in the wall where qimir was fixing his helmet
thatās it
like i said, it could legit just be me waffling hard after overanalysing/overthinking simple visual cues/links given to the viewers to better understand the show but it also couldnāt š¤·
I agree with you. Why would they include that audio there when we as the audience already know what happened?
yeah i mean any normal viewer is going to be fully aware of the events of the previous episode since itās currently the most striking episode we have yet in literally every sense, visually, audibly, plot wise, but fuck knows mate
and nobody starts a show on episode 6 so there was basically no need for the viewers to see the episode 5 flashbacks unless it was for a reason
gave me a gay vibe ngl
bro didnāt even wash himself he just took a dip to make himself seem vulnerable as a ploy to get osha to not be so defensive/aggressive towards him
ah yes let me leave my only fucking weapon by my clothes (im definitely not aware of the only other human following me closely)
- he knows she wouldnāt strike him down butt naked, literally one of the first things he says as he gets out, something along the lines of āit wouldnāt be honorable to kill be like thisā or something
he probably still had the advantage in that situation given how strong he is in the force but hey
whatever works works
Qimir hot
me personally, canāt wait for the lego qimir minifigure
helmet will go hard š£ļøš„
iām pretty sure she does look down at his shit once ššš
i would too
qimir hot af fr
Someone should make this a sticker
More relevance? He's the biggest star wars youtuber lol
i like him too and hes being a fucking incel abot acolyte
Same here
He was extremely bad faith about Andor too
Basically calling it boring constantly and then denying he didn't have good things to say about it despite that being like 20% of his talking points
Even tales of the empire... Vader's appearance was menacing and fearful and a great way to show how most people feel around him.. but all bro cared about was WTF WHERE VOICE LINES?? WHERE PLOT LINE???
Um the first 6 movies and almost the entirety of TCW?
didnt he ask "wheres vader, wheres yoda?"
Yup
How am I meant to believe he has the franchises best in his heart when he can't even judge content that isn't anakin or Vader appropriately
It's a joke lol
ikr
hi
As soon as I said he didn't have armour, everyone lost their mind. 'How can you not have armour?' I was like, 'Why would you wear armour if you're not going to get hit?'
Yeah memesoon posted it the other day, seriously good excerpt lol
The type of monologue people would laud Filoni for
But it's acolyte so it's bad now
Like a stale bag of takis
?
yeah yeah just LMSH wasnt mentioned
so i hate it when news sites inject him into the story even though he wasnt mentioned
Who?
let me solo her
or as i like to call him
"if you summoned him you by no means beat malenia, you effectively cheated the game and did not learn, you did not by any measure beat the game"
Yeah how dare news articles use an example more people will understand and relate to so that it reaches a more mass appeal and understanding
Journalism scumbags!
"star wars villain inspired by elden ring" isnt hard to understand
That's so vague lmao
There's a reason these people are journalists and you're not ig
Yeah I checked and 90% of those articles mentioning LMSH have very clearly chosen their words, and the only one I found that is like what you said was a dogshit article from some site nobodies ever heard of anyway
"may have"
"Like"
"Partly"
The Acolyte, Episode 6, 8:30
youāre not wrong
"Fan": you're not a true fan!
Said "fan":
LOL
No but you see their mistakes are forgivable
But any mistakes with star wars have destroyed my childhood and will never have more information retconned in.. so it's better (star wars never does that right guys)
Asmongold sub was saying she's desperate to pander to gamers now
I can't wait to reminisce this insane era in 30 years
well hes a [mods have advised me not to continue the statement]
allow me
Asmongold is a {this comment has been hidden under the authority of the FBI}
RIP that dudes inbox if thereās one thing SW fans hate more than the Acolyte its people being wrong about lore
I really hope you're talking about the guy who said "Vader never killed a child."
611 replies is hilarious
Qimire is a child killer!!!
LMFAOO
They're nothing similar
Let me solo powerstances katanas š
The way she looks down and her eyes widen and immediately looks up again š
Episode 5 and 6 were so good
Just watched them
Huh?
the Elden Ring character and Qimir
Yeah but... They are lmao
Bro literally dodged sabers multiple times when everyone else's blocks or parrys
His costume is light armour fashion souls asf
Using perfect "build" knowledge and knowledge of all their fighting styles and moves
You would literally have to be media illiterate to not see the similarities
I haven't played Elden Ring (I really should) so I have no clue if there are any similarities
but I'm gonna assume, based off of what I know about Souls games, that it's likely to be the case
I'm talking about let me solo her and him
They're not similar
imma solo him
They are a little. Let me solo her is just a named version of what Leslie describes
Do yall think Qimir is better then Kylo Ren
Yea
Kylo Ren except with better character writing
I think TLJ Kylo is still interesting in his own way but Qimir is just tighter storytelling
TLJ did nothing with his character
bait was once believable
did u watch the movie blindfolded with earplugs
š š
Brother heās the main character
Most observant star wars fan
me when rose tico has more screentime than me
(quarter of a minute more, a quarter of a minute too long)
Sol is Rose Tico's dad confirmed??!??
Great great granddad
A bunch of people are only watching the acolyte cuz qimir is hot š
Yes
Fr thos that sith is yolked up
Sexual tension last ep was absolutely crazy
I need to hate watch it now
ngl this show really depends on episode 7 sticking the landing
im confident that they cooked
i just wanna see a beserk adult wookie jedi and i'll be content
Maybe another time
Nalphazilla sounds like people who condemn acolyte to be bad when there ISN'T a dark and griddy wookiee fight scene
disney is too afraid to make a Geycukk Wookie solo film where he just rips people arms off, no cgi, no practical effects, just straight grittiness
Oh yeah today we'll know what Sol did
i dont blame Sol for having a breakdown last ep, that witchussy got him acting unwise
I loved seeing it
Seeing him center himself, or do what he believes is centering
Because you could believe what Qimir is saying in that he's just lying to himself
Qimir is arguing they're the same person, he just doesn't feel shame or lie to himself anymore
ikr, i still think Sol is a good person, but he clearly isn't made for the Jedi lifestyle, he's like the in between of Qui Gon and Dooku.

Now we wait for ballsucker.dhwya.org to stream it
Torbin at the end lmao
Bro got cooked
Yeah itās good
Kelnaccaās agility and strength š
Tbf was ampād by a coven but still
What was that ability Indara did on the witches
Sol definitely got too emotional and hit the red button on killing the mother
eh she probably just pushed them out of his mind
why were they using metal detectors in the beginning ššš½
mofos were looking for buried holocrons
Is the whole ep a flashback again
"With context Gonko, with context."
yeah lol
honestly intrigued on how theyre gonna bunch everything into one last episode with only 43 minutes lmao
They're don't have to
Season 2 time š«
š

I don't think they can close off the story of the twins in one episode. Or they could just leave it open ended idk
I'm pretty sure Leslie says they want a S2, so I doubt they;re going to tie everything off in the finale. I feel like that would be kinda... bad if they did tbh lol
Whether or not they actually get a S2 lol
thats a diff question entirely
Probably
Show did well I guess
I wonder if the show got more bad press than Kenobi
Might be a bad question, I don't remember much from the time when Kenobi was airing
so osha and mae are one person ?
Idk how to describe it
They're clearly different individuals but
no not really but the way they were trying to explain this ep was kinda huh for me
They're like, Force Clones lol
Ctrl C + Ctrl V
felt like a filler ep fr
That ain't filler bro
I said it felt like it
I loved that they finally gave us the jedi perspective way too many unanswered questions
can anyone explain that Indara killing all those witches thoe lmao
I didnāt read it as intentional. More like she was just pushing them out of Kelnaccaās mind and their power backfired on them. Or they were going to die regardless (like, sacrificially) once their spell/ritual ended, she just ended it.
Actually it's not even like, Clones, after rewatching that scene it's more like how Revan's consciousness split into two beings lol. Atleast that's how it sounds
Since she says "a power dense enough to split one consciousness into two"
I'm curious who the original was then
Imagine the original is the Sith master
how is this out of all the episodes filler??? They were literally setting up this episode since ep 3 came out. If anything, this was the most important part of the whole series!
because it "felt" like it...
how??
I can't with Star Wars fans
none of them pay any attention to the plot and then make complaints like this
A quarter of the scenes were copy and paste and the story this episode was a bit predictable... so as I said it "FeLt" filler I didnt say it was, reading is fundamental, why are you still pressed about a comment 3-4 hours ago thats so irrelevant now š
It wasnt even a complaint at all
okay so you want the episode to make no sense?
the thing I'm pressed about is that saying something is filler means absolutely nothing
bro š
it's simply used to say something was bad or whatever
ok sorry
I shouldn't have gone off like that but it is an issue that I just get annoyed by
decent ep, although a good chunk was just the same scenes with the occasional different perspective
not a bad thing, more of a nitpick
like it works for the story, its just a presentation issue
also that credits song was a banger but so out of place lmao
I'm so on board for these reveals. This episode is a perspective shift, you're viewing the same scenes from new eyes and everything feels different. Sol is the clear villain of this entire story, every bad decision was due to him. Qimir would've done everything Sol did, except he wouldn't have pretended he was virtuous for it.
Indara is also clearly the reason this entire thing is being kept hush hush. This is why nobody knows enough about Qimir to consider him a sith
It shames her, her padawan, her group and calnacca all at once. Nobody wants that to get out.
Bruddah the explosions and debris killed them..
They're unconscious in a video game level with a timer
A complete perspective shift with reveals on the mystery while continuing to build others is not filler
This aged like milk
Sol straight up a twat waffle
look i still think hes always had good intentions, he just doesnt know the proper way to achieve it (which often leads to disaster lmao)
hes like friendly nuke, he doesnt MEAN to cause destruction but y'know....
Good ep
They did NOT cook with the credits song
I fear they are gonna make koril the sith master
Let us hope not
Yet another "plot hole" falls simply due to not waiting for the mystery show to explain why (she tried to kill her sister)
No, its all plotholes
True...
wharrrr
could have sworn they died because the possession was forcefully severed by indara?
maybe i rewatch that scene
Did you check their pulse?
Are y'all medical doctors?
Hence why they make note of the building falling around because it doesn't matter what killed them
The building falling definitely finished them
yeah exploding debris will do that to you
yea
filler trash
some how palpatine returned
Me looking at the fandom menace

Israel
the episode reads like a regular show episode
benson asks mordecai and rigby to get him plant samples and by the end of the episode they've blown up someones house and killed a bunch of witches
Lmfao
Real
Some people riding this show too much
Nah way more people despising it while watching it on release day constantly
Pretty pathetic honestly
Womp womp
For realsies
Mfs staying up to 3am just to cry
Haven't seen a single acolyte rider in fact lol, any fans are just saying "this is pretty decent and episode 5 is good"
Couldn't imagine getting that worked up over a take but then again it's just fandom menace classics
Fr, I'm in another server where some people i know are defending Acolyte to the death- Like its not bad but its not good enough to get mad over people opinions, most people hating on it havent even watched it š
Exactly, the answer is somewhere in the middle
as with all things
Indeed
Fkn hate extremist behaviour lol
It's quite exhausting how many people judge a mystery show for things that mystery shows reveal over time
Like We're on the supposed.. third plot hole that got answered in later episodes?
Bring balance to the fanbase
When people stop hating every new trilogy that comes out and pretends like star wars was always some flawless property
The problem is that the hate is self sustaining
Star wars is asf and it's time to put those expectations there

Literally a cycle
ESB bad! No prequels bad! No sequels bad! No Disney shows bad!
What's next š
If we all agree Disney Bad, then we all win
I'd rather eat Lego tbh
Yummy
Well
Corporate disney
Like, who wants to spend the rest of their life defending a soulless billion dollar conglomerate?

That's not the point tho lol
Disney made rogue one, Mando S1, Andor and TCW S7
Oh and bad batch S2 PT 2
I respect those, but not Disney
Yea i mean the same can be said about any souless multi billion dollar company
But not the point
Bro doesn't realize he is in the cycle
Not when they gaslight their fans for not liking something
It's part of it
Are you referring to Kathleen?
That one isn't even star wars related, that's all of Disney
CEO related more specific
By gaslighting you mean calling out horrid behavior?
He's taking about when Disney blame people's lack of diversity for not liking something. Like little mermaid
It is more than that. Anytime they do SOMETHING that is subpar and the fans don't like it, they immediately start a media frenzy of "Review Bombing this" and "Harassment that"
It is a playbook at this point
Idk if that happened with star, wars really
Bro you know Acolyte is still actively review bombed right
An episode had 3.4 rating 20 minutes after release on a 40 minute episode
I'm not going to argue that the Acolyte isn't bad
Now me personally, i dont think the Acolyte is peak cinema BUT im not gonna support the amount of hate its getting yknow
If you dont like it dont watch it
Based
More like
All of them
They review bomb before it comes out
Disney star wars is a bunch of different shit which you can pick which is your favourite from
Fr
For sure but I wanted something I had hard evidence of
Yea
Written by child
FR
clicked play and the acolyte title card appeared
0/5
Like whats the whole deal with the darksaber
I've only seen clips of the Acolyte. I usually avoid SW things if they don't interest me. (Like Mando S3) but honestly, they don't do themselves any favors doubling down on what fans don't like
What?
-_-
Like what
What did they double down on that fans don't like?
See, you're just putting words in my mouth
They got rid of VFX wall for real sets, they tried harder with costumes, the choreography is the best of anything Disney...
Chat dont clip that
He was obviously joking...
Yea its satire lol
I see that now
Just like when that guy asked ab if acolyte was good yesterday
And i said that lol

But like, I definitely thing there can be a middle ground and Disney is the only one capable of making that happen. Fans probably shouldn't overreact like they do, but Disney could do a bit more to ensure fans are getting what they want or doing stuff that doesn't involve re-inventing the wheel
Now if you really wanna roast Disney you should talk about new Marvel stuff
Bro, I haven't seen a Marvel movie since the first Avengers in 2012
Good
I like their current idea of giving a star wars fan who is a good movie maker a chance and just letting them complete their vision with a storyboard team over looking them
I think that is why the Sequels left me with a bad taste in my mouth. A lot of the humor felt straight from the MCU
Listening to fans causes things like TROS
MCU up to endgame is peak
"Look what you have made"
After tht..
Tbf, I don't think fans even wanted that
They did
Mark hamil didnt even want that
I think the sequels were a lost cause after TLJ
They didn't ask for those plot points directly, but the community cried about every point
They retconned because of hate
They got legends because people asked
They got palpatine because snoke was boring not like ian
Etc
It's extremely fan service to the point nobody wanted it
TLJ could have been salvageable if it had led to something greater.
Kinda like how AoTC sucks but people glaze it because it led to RoTS and Clone wars content.
All I want in Star Wars now is endless Star Fighter battles, more Clone Wars era content, etc.
Give me a show about an Imperial Division and their side of the fight.
TROS ensured the same will not happen to the Sequels
Bro said more clone wars era
When do we finally go back to OT in more than just rebels
Inject that Rex/Echo/Emerie series into my veins!!!
A Stormtrooper Series would be sick too.
Give me some Gray Era in my Star Wars. Show me some scummy Rebels
Fr
That would be the OT content I would like
We follow an ISB agent during the show
Imagine them talking about fearing Luke running around
Well yea but like
Full ISB content
Lol
Give me something that allows me to sympathize with an ISB. Disney is too black and white with the "Good Guys/Bad Guys" stick
Andor!
To be fair harassment and review bombing are both real concerns that have happened to every new SW property that is controversial in the slightest
Nothing Disney does will satisfy fans
They want to hate it so they find dumb reasons to nitpick and tear the show apart over tiny details
sorry but a ventress series has a higher chance of happening

Possibly
I'd watch
Please
Andor/Rogue One
You mean like deedra in Andor..?
i think the best thing is that my comment isnt even a pipe dream anymore, its an actual possibility with evidence to support it
Ventress bros we are so back
its true...
after 9 years of nothing important....11 years since she was last on screen
Taking the Acolyte in a vacuum itās the exact shit fans have been asking for itās a dark murder mystery show set in an unexplored area of the SW Galaxy that features cool lightsaber fights
you can give fans exactly what they ask for but theyāll find something to hate no matter what so they may as well be creative with it anyway
I guarantee you if this show were the exact fucking same but animated in the style of TCW the amount of complaining would be so much fucking less
The word āwokeā has ruined SW discourse forever
the exact same but made by a man
Replace osha with ahsoka and its suddenly a 10/10...
Ahsosha
replace leslie with filoni and suddenly its a 10/10
Maerrok
man what a nothing burger he was
literally just there to make more (poorly done) fights
He's Ezra he's Kanans charred remains he's Starkiller he's
Marrok has the coolest desgin ever just to be wasted
Coolest design is literally just reaper from ow
people unironically going "the showrunners are clearly trying to make the jedi look evil!" in the context of sol killing whats her name
even though the show is clearly showing that he had a natural reaction to the apparent threat that just appeared right next to him
Star wars fans when the jedi accidentally kills the fucking dementor that appeared in front of him (bad guy)
Not to mention they're focusing hard on the fact every mistake can be tied back to sol
Like they're making one jedi look bad, and the rest of the jedi look the same as they always did in the prequels
nah torbin really
Nah
Torbin could've been curbed but sol pushed
For his own gain
Even when torbin initiated the attack, sol chose to make the worst decision of all
Torbin didn't really do anything wrong besides be young and dumb
Yea
If sol forced him to wait until indara and shit arrived, he wouldn't have done what he done
It is purely because sol was like "I need you as backup despite you being a literal danger already"
"Nuh uh my brain is mentally fortified!"
Kelnacca:
to be fair everything was going fine (except the fire) until mother anethestic decided to turn into the smoke monster from LOST without warning
How was it fine lol
Fighting a wookie would literally be a horror movie
Idk people seem to forget wookiees wouldn't be very skilled
They gain in raw power what they lack in finesse
Like bro is carrying a single ordinary ass saber? It's tiny for his frame lmao
Why no cross guard or something
cos they initiated negotiation and talking rather than showing up and immediately shooting each other
torbin was jumpy but sol got him to cool it as he talked to mother alabama
Jedi stuff ig
then she decided to just turn into a smoke monster
The other girl had already put conflict to extremely likely
Dementor from harry potter
It was set in stone, but it should be a Jedi's focus to defend from that point
Mom 2
yeah but mother amnesia was the leader she could get them to back down
Everyone wanted to kill the jedi
implying its a teleport
Besides her basically
nothing says it was
The others teleported
media literacy buzzword
YoU kNoW iM rIgHt ThOuGh
yes.
The critical drinker watches every episode of the acolyte but won't watch the boys season 4
Is he stupid?
Too woke (unironically the political commentary is getting less nuanced)
He made a review of season 4 and didn't even watch it
It's not even over yet
Meanwhile he makes an review for every acolyte episode the same day it comes out
alright
Besides 4 for some reason
whats the bet that koril is actually like, possessing ir controlling quimir or something
like the nightsisters did with savage
Critikal: this thing sucks I never watch stuff like this and I'm superior to people who watch things like this because it's just so doo doo
Also critikal: so here's my review of the next episode
Also the director said she wants to make more seasons of the acolyte
"no ofc I'm evil but also y'all won't let me live peacefully so murder ig"
god acolyte sucks so bad!
watches the new episode as soon as it drops
Considering its the second best preforming star wars show itll probably happen lol
CT made a good joke when I talked about the review bombed episode before it was possible to have finished the episode..
Acolyte title card
1/10 hated this episode
The WOKElyte 2: THE SJWS STRIKE BACK!!!!
It's so fucking funny that it's doing so well
I bet this will be the critical drinkers title for season 2
it was review bombed before the episode even came out
and people have the audacity to claim that review bombing isnt the real, the score is the true score
hmmm i have a meme here but it has the r word
Rotten tomatoes scores don't matter unless it supports my argument
I'm pretty sure Melvin had an Acolyte gif
@lean shard
But it got purged
it needs to be pinned
I think tros has like the 5th or 6th highest rotten tomatoes score for the movies
Insider info
alright im gonna post my meme apologies in advance
Lots of people loved sequels they just never talk about it
well, meme i found
I see them on twitter
But theres also alot of stupid people on twitter
This must mean the jedi are bad
Like kids will casually just dress as Rey cuz star war
So many people don't give a shit like fandom menace think they do
Uhhhh isn't it that you have the right to say nothing
If Dave Filoni wrote this he would use the world between worlds to summon Grievous and he'd kill the witches (Clone Wars reference)
Like refuse to explain or answer any question about it?
Yea
I mean it's true, you cant talk about witches without grievous PTSD
general grievous fans try not to bring up dathomir (his only one major win)
He'd make ki adi mundi show up too
And everyone would clap
(he still lost a duel in it lol)
Because its good if he breaks lore
Eeth Koth
literal who character nobody cares
Bro got clapped and then paraded around like a two bit mf
And he killed that random youngling
I think you'll find every member on the council has die hard fans

surveying soil composition
This is like whipping out a fake bomb as a prank in front of bunch of cops
Wtf was she even doing
Probably teleporting since thatās what it looked like Koril did later in the ep
But still thatās like throwing a smoke bomb in front of the police to go grab who theyāre looking for
Why was mae also turning into smoke tho
I think her and the mother were gonna become one
or probably teleport and dip up outta there
that last sentence is a nail biter
It's certainly something lol
Its when she says " I Believe " that is throwing me off, because its feels like do you even know what is happening yourself and youre the director/co-writer lmao
idk maybe im just overthinking it
Alright yea let's just kill all the witches i think

You are. It doesnāt matter what Aniseya was doing. All that matters to the story is what Sol thought she was doing, and that he killed her for it
Authors and artists leave things up to audience interpretation all the time. Her personal interpretation is that she was getting Mae out of a violent situation by transforming into the Force. And if you need every single detail defined by the author, then you can also say thatās what happened bc that was the authors intent. But another viewer can interpret it differently, bc ultimately she didnāt succeed in whatever she was trying to do to herself and Mae, so it literally does not matter. Who knows, maybe another Star Wars creator will come along and delve into witches and Ascension more deeply and weāll get a more solid answer of what Aniseya was trying to do, and Leslye gave that creator the space to explore that.
that sounds like george lucas
i dont even understand swt's problem with acolyte 7 it was good
i do think the metal detector stuff was really goofy
This is very common with directors or showrunners. You don't have to say every extraneous detail either because everything needs approval, or because you didn't get to fully implement it or to pave way for future story writing. A director can tell you what they believed when making the whole story, but that's not to say it's anything more than artists intent. Star wars retcons things all the fucking time, canon still tries to say that Luke mind trick those gamorreans lol
Bro you better start contributing when you drop this shit with no elaboration or else
(I'm in your walls)
THEN DO IT!!!
Bro is severely incapable of picking and choosing what he likes
RAGGGHHHH
Ok no you speak da tru
As for all the mfs talking about "omg i hope we see the sith lord in the final ep!!!" we've seen the sith lord and it's qimir

He said as much
š³
Awooga
Knight of ren!
he's probably gonna be confirmed to be the first Ren ngl
Erm showrunner said theres 2 sith in the show
its vernestra ong
yeah but its always ever been about the apprentice wanting more while being under their master
Ok?
Woke
"Split one consciousness into 2 bodies"
That explains a lot! Each twin have half a brain!
so true brother, so true
I'd highly recommend having a look at this article.
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/mad-acolyte-haven-t-paying-174600864.html
The Acolyte, the new Disney+ Star Wars series set in the High Republic era, has been open about its intentions from the jump: portray the Jedi Order at the height of its power and show how they are responsible for their own fall from grace, the same fall we watched play out in the prequels over 20 years ago. But despite The Acolyteās consistency...
makes it sound like it fell into the ST trap
heres more of the same stuff you loved the first time why are you mad
this time its mid but look some is better even if some is worse
and oh yea the fandom menace is going apeshit for reasons irrelevant to the flaws
Good initial paragraph but just goes on to list things that happened in the show with no elaboration
Pretty nothingburger
If anything, it related it to anakin far too much which a lot of these people they talk about hate acolyte for. People don't want some random twin shmucks to match up to anakin Skywalker
^ that tbh
it felt high republic was supposed to be a break that let them explore new things not rehash the same old same old
Like poetry it rhymes
And it's not necessarily references and callback, like the force awakens was, it's a new story touching on similar themes and in universe canon
The only thing making Anakin "less special" are the 'fans' who say that in the first place
Why does it make him "less special" though? Why doesn't it?
But why do people say it does?

Do you really need me to answer that
What do the twins and anakin appear to have in common....
I agree. That's what it is. The article sells acolyte short.
it's an entirely different process tho
One is the force literally willing a being in to existence, and one is a dark perversion and manipulation of the force
I'm gonna make media literacy a 101 class for these mfs, vote me for president
Anakin was made via the will of the force
the twins were made by some witch magic
both are unnatural birth
idrk why that ruins it
hence why I need it explained
Why are you telling me this
That's the logic anakin simps are using
Hence the "appear"
All they see is "unnatural birth with no father", it's pretty clear they're not thinking beyond that
I'm using you for elaboration
On a surface level both births look the same
Thank you for your service

Lmao
- The mystery is mysterying too much
- The dialogue is star wars
- I'm blind and want VFX walls
- Literally speculation
- They're not even the same things, it's just themes
- Stop being attracted to them then
- They're all different lengths??
- yeah Rogue one sucks clearly (they also explore a lot of the "dead" characters multiple times)
- You don't see any jedi except people directly implicated and it almost directly blames sol for all of it
- What? This is a ki adi cope in disguise
What makes them different then? I remember picking up on this stuff when I watched ep 3, even before I had seen the fan base's reaction.
What you said
And this
Didn't you explain how they're different...?
Number is 10 is literally ki adi cope lol, on the actual article they talk about ki adi being there "encroaching on prequel territory"
I'm kinda siding with the fan base on this
What
Though ig one reason why it doesn't ruin Anakin is bcos this was forced but Anakin had to happen.
Well both are unnatural
Called it
Oh don't tell me
Bro had the same realization twice in a row
That's crazy
The Palps line from RotS basically supports this line
Test tube baby Vs miracle baby
Idk why I'm in the middle on this one
One is space jesus and one is a "scientific" marvel
Why scientific?
SW fans when the entire clone army had no biological mother (it ruined anakin's legacy of being the only special baby boy in the universe)
Ah
These are the themes of their birth
Yeah
I have a strong feeling the vergence + that hole = strong dark side
Remember how they got Mae mad for power?
It all seems very rooted in dark side
An interesting thing in ep 7 was the fact that Mae and Osha were split from the same body.
(Because it is literally Ach-To)
Can someone correct me on that? I don't think I worded it properly.
No
Vergences affect the planet, right?
Crazy that they turned out so different. Would have been an interesting thing to explore how random two children's developmental response is to the same stimuli and environment despite being genetically and SPIRITUALLY identical
Ah
What???
Is this about the dark side + vergence thing Cardoor was talking about earlier?
This
This is about osha and mae being split which was the conversation that happened maybe 20 seconds ago before it changed instantly while I was typing

I thought they were talking about a Force nexus at first
Which is a literal place
lol
Is screen rant stupid
"Mysteries dragging out too long" yeah it's a mystery show
this is the stupidest one of these screen rant posts I have seen
I hate how effective screen rant is at rage baiting
Screen rage
yeah
@mint orbit I almost scrolled away but it got better
Lmao
Bro got that skit acting
Really sold it
Book of Cameos
The lengths people go to just to hate whatever is new...
I just wanna say
I got my wookie jedi fight
I am happy
And its exactly how I thought it would be

ššš½
I was joking that the Writing was bad
Or mid
bobf s2 with omega in it k thanks disney
too many spin offs fr, they high key should be prioritizing one era at a time like marvel
Children's writing maybe
It has nothing to do with the spin offs tbh
