from obvious to not so obvious, cortosis seems to be not so rare on whatever planet qimirs hideout is on, perhaps that strain we saw in the wall is all he has and perhaps itā€™s not very thick/deep but iā€™m pretty sure thatā€™s enough to implement into some nice armor or weaponry of some kind

I'm so on board for these reveals. This episode is a perspective shift, you're viewing the same scenes from new eyes and everything feels different. Sol is the clear villain of this entire story, every bad decision was due to him. Qimir would've done everything Sol did, except he wouldn't have pretended he was virtuous for it.

Authors and artists leave things up to audience interpretation all the time. Her personal interpretation is that she was getting Mae out of a violent situation by transforming into the Force. And if you need every single detail defined by the author, then you can also say thatā€™s what happened bc that was the authors intent. But another viewer can interpret it differently, bc ultimately she didnā€™t succeed in whatever she was trying to do to herself and Mae, so it literally does not matter. Who knows, maybe another Star Wars creator will come along and delve into witches and Ascension more deeply and weā€™ll get a more solid answer of what Aniseya was trying to do, and Leslye gave that creator the space to explore that.

This is very common with directors or showrunners. You don't have to say every extraneous detail either because everything needs approval, or because you didn't get to fully implement it or to pave way for future story writing. A director can tell you what they believed when making the whole story, but that's not to say it's anything more than artists intent. Star wars retcons things all the fucking time, canon still tries to say that Luke mind trick those gamorreans lol
