Because we as an audience appreciate fresh, new characters with compelling stories. A revolutionary concept, I know.

But peakdor was great because it wasn’t afraid to use new people to tell it’s story, instead of falling back on nostalgia or cameos.

Bad batch had some great new characters. Rebels was so successful because we got fresh, exciting characters like Kanan, Ezra, Hera and Kallus instead of just another Rebels story with Luke, Leia and Han
