ghost finding you in cupboards

been playing some loaner box master cleanses and seems while hiding in hiding spaces
the ghost can walk past no issues but then suddenly will just either walk in or kill through the door even though they cant see you while having nothing on you to attract it electronically
also had one game on stevies where stevie was fully invisible one hunt so just walked up to one of us and killed them but it wasnt visible at all and was a longer walk over to us than just the long blink
am i doing something wrong or does the ghost just hate me haha

You’re not doing anything wrong .

So long as you have broken line of sight ( no heartbeat sound ) and have your equipment off . You are “safe” , now to clarify a hiding spot is not 💯 safe , the ghost can choose to walk in there if it’s in that general vicinity.
Definitely not all the time , but it does occur .

As for the invisible-kill.
You have to factor in some things .

As a client, you will have a slight delay, more so if the host’s connection is poor or you live on the other side of the globe .

So what might seem as he was “far away” or “long blinks” from what the client sees is solely based on what the host is seeing.

This same example works with ghost events and photos as a client , you might take a picture of the ghost right at the end of the event , and the photo won’t show a ghost .
This is because it’s based off the hosts timing , and by their connection the event had likely just finished .

Best way to counter these issues is to have

Have the person with the best connection host .

I always have a bottle of jesus juice in my hand, especially on harder difficulties, because there have been a few times where gary or jeb just walk right into the closet no warning.
These days I yell "DO YOU MIND?" or "COME BACK WITH A WARRANT" i am almost always prepared to spritz a ghost during a hunt.

We'll just ignore the 2 or 3 times where i forgot i left an electronic on...
