After using the new chat feature, I was unable to move. I couldn't get to the menu with Escape, so I needed to Alt-F4.

I can recreate this anytime I accidentally click into the chat box. I can't move, I'm not typing in the box when I try to move around. But when I click back into the box type something, then press enter it will show up in chat and then I can move on about my business.

I had this same issue: if I click into the chat box I am frozen. Esc, etc. doesn't work to escape. I have to click back into chat, type, hit enter, and then I can move.
