When i get close to the mirror i get the fatal error message

are you doing anything special? or is it a specific mirror? i can get as close to the customization mirror in the lounge room as i want without any issues .. or maybe its a graphics setting i have shadows set lower because my pc can't take it

I do encounter a similar Problem: whenever I try to activate the mirror in my room to enter customization, the game crashes with said Fatal Error. So far every time I try to use it. Started a new Game just out of curiosity, same behaviour.

Found the Problem: my security solution was interfering with the Game, doing some kind of real-time surveillance task. Had to create a Whitelist entry for the Concubine executable and root directory and BAM, Problem solved!
