OOTW has been my fav for some time now because of it's catchy tune and lyrics. My fav lyric in all of 1989 is "The rest of the world was black and white / but we were in screaming color" 🩵
#answer midwest princess
Wildest Dreams has always had a special place in my heart out of all the songs in 1989. And the music video makes it even more special. I love the story being told through the video and all the cinematography is so cool all throughout the video, especially as someone who’s very interested in cinematography myself
blank space was my swiftie awakening
#answer willoughby tucker...
i love the blank space mv cause i love the way she stabs the cake and it fills with blood plus it's so nostalgic and it reminds me of elementary school
#answer chappell role
i love blank space it's so classy but messy at the same time and i think that's great (it's also just a fun song)
#answer chappell role
out of the woods
Blank space was one of if not the first Taylor mv I watched, I love how dramatic it is, also love the song in general
#answer Chappell role
As much as i love the other songs, i'd probably have to pick black space, mainly for the nostalgia of the music video and how upbeat the song is despite its meaning
#answer Chappell role
Ootw is just my song… ootw and i know places
#answer artpop
shake it off mv was superior.
wait no nvm
(i forgot wildest dreams was an option 😭😭)
the wildest dreams mv is so nostalgic and like beautiful in many ways
As a person that grew up with all of these music videos, I think the one that had the most impact on me as a person was the Shake It Off music video. All of the other music videos are so nostalgic and magical, but Shake It Off just has that extra childhood feeling about it. I remember when I first watched it, I was mesmerised. I had just started ballet when I first watched it, and I was so thrilled to learn that that blonde lady with a beautiful voice also likes ballet. And in that ballet scene, we can see Taylor not entirely fitting in. She is dancing differently than the others, but she doesn't care. She just shakes off all the negativity. And for little me, who was getting bullied daily, this was extremely special. Taylor made me feel seen, and she taught little me to just Shake It Off.
#answer artpop
OOTW. I feel like a whole of its production was heavy when it came to visualizing the song. The song alone and the mv combined is just perfect. It felt like part of a thriller/supernatural movie in a sense.
#answer your choice.
This was a difficult choice between Blank Space and OOTW. But I chose Blank Space because of the nostalgia factor. It was one of the few, if not only, Taylor Swift music videos I watched when it first came out. That was before I became a Swiftie. I had heard criticism of it so decided to watch it and decide for myself. And I was blown away! The melodrama was juicy, the visuals were rich (literally and figuratively!), and the song was amazing. I decided to stop listening to critical reviews of her songs after that. I have attached what I consider the most visceral imagery. It lives rent free in my head. #answer The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan
I think for me, it was Style. I remember watching the music video for Style and I love how dreamy and ethereal the music video was. It definitely felt like you’re driving down the highway late at night. Blank Space and OOTW are good music videos, they’re visually amazing, however, I think Style really captured the song’s essence in the music video the best.

The wildest dreams mv is very nostalgic for me and i love the vibe it has but all of the 1989 music videos are really good
#answer willoughby tucker
for me it was blank space, that music video is one of my faves from her in general and was a really great stab at the media
#answer willoughby tucker
out of the woods has always been my favorite! it's very unique!
1989 has some of her best music videos but OMG i love wildest dreams
I think shake it off because it was really creative with like the imagery and it was also pretty funny
OOTW has always been one of my favorite music videos. As someone who doesn’t really watch music videos unless its lore (such as twenty one pilots), Out of the woods is one that I actually really enjoyed! Its visuals are actually really pretty and everything is so interesting that it actually got my attention:)
#answer scaled and icy please <3
Wow! There are so many great songs in 1989. For me, my favourite is Wildest Dreams. It’s a beautiful and nostalgic song. I just like everything about it, from the tune, lyrics, emotions expressed, to the music… I also really like Blank Space because of its catchy tune-it’s just a great song as well- and Shake it Off because it was the first Taylor Swift song I’ve ever heard.
For me it has to be Blank Space, because I was really intrigued how she portrayed the "crazy woman". It showed how she's actually a really great actor. And the overall vibe of the mv is just chef's kiss 🤌🏼.
(p.s. it was criminal not to include Bad Blood's short film here)
#answer any role is cool really
blank space for me because i think it truly shaped the world for pop music videos after it's release bc of its creativity
#answer willoughby tucker, ill always love you
It was definitely Wildest Dreams for me. I really love the visuals and it definitely changed how I saw the song!
#answer ethel cain role pls!
for me it’ll always be, without no further thought into it, out of the woods. i just think the creativity and passion/ energy showcase taylor brought onto that video was truly incredible, i was really impressed by the various little details in it, she really did a great job with that one.
#answer short & sweet, please!
Out of the Woods is definitely my favorite MV, it's such a beautiful concept and it has become one of my favorite 1989 songs 🤍✨️ I wish we had a MV for Clean tho 😔
#answer ethel cain role pls (loved the album 🥹)
Wildest dreams gives me a sense of nostalgia whenever i watch it's music video or listen to it, it's been my favourite for years and probably the song that made me love 1989 so much. Everything to the storyline to the cinematography to Taylor's looks is amazing to me in that music video, dare I say best 1989 mv
#answer willoughby tucker
ever since i watched ootw video, it has been my favourite mv by taylor and nothing has come close! the visuals, the aesthetics, with the woods representing her inner turmoil and fear and everything she went through. its a masterpiece through and through
#answer willoughby tucker
Blank space makes me almost shed a tear every time I watch the video. I was 5 when it released but the nostalgia hits so hard. Blank space is meant to be crazy and the video gives it that feeling and I love it so much. It never gets old. The whole feeling of the video and music together makes me feel “😍”.
#answer midwest princess
