Please thank @somber stream for the question!
Really a toss up with Pure Heroine & Melodrama.
However, I have to go with Melo. It was one I got into the most and the one that impacted me as someone who really doesn’t listen to her. It felt like a sense of belonging and understanding even tho the whole album talks about the hardships of young adulthood and being lonely. Plus LIABILITY MADE ME LOVE HER SO MUCH.
#answer Ethel Cain role pls
Thank you Mergod for the Question!
pure heroine
Virgin pure heroine is good too but i think virgin is the best one out of all her albums
I listened to virgin few weeks ago and was BLOWN AWAY by how good it is!
#answer
Can I also get Ethel role pleaseeeeee
Pure Heroine! It was the album where I got introduced to Lorde and I really like the tracks on this album. Of course Melodrama is EQUALLY good but the vibes of pure Heroine align with me ig..
edit: I forgot to put the tag in smh
#answer can I please get a Troye Sivan/ Olivia taggggg 😭
Pure Heroine. I'm not a massive Lorde fan, so i haven't given all her albums an in depth listen, but i would definitely say there's more songs on Pure Heroin that I like than the others
#awnser Ethel cain role plss
melodrama. one of the best pop album. her best album. every tracks IS PERFECT. please check out if you havent 🙏🏻🙏🏻
#answer willoughby tucker pls
I picked pure heroine because it has absolutely gorgeous melodies like buzzcut season is so perfect and ethereal and nostalgic feeling, not to mention classics like ribs and royals, and it just feels like it fully explores its concept of loneliness and finding love/your place as a high school girl in every song while having a really beautiful production style
Also 400 lux might be one of my fave songs ever
#answer Chappell pls, or a Lorde role if that’s possible?
For me, it's easily melodrama, mainly because I have a bigger connection to that album than the rest but also because I don't think anyone would disagree when I say that lorde's vest songs are in that album, like green light, liability, perfect places and more
#answer can I get the rise and fall of a midwest princess pls
Pure heroine because it has royals!! I don’t know any lorde songs but royals is great!
I don't like Lorde, but Melodrama was pretty good so!
Definitely pure herione, it's just so good idk how to explain it but theres a reason it's her most popular album yk, but i really love melodrama too, no skips.
#answer chappell please 🙏
melodrama, i've listened to liability and it sounds really good.
#answer can i get the rise and fall of a midwest princess pleaseee
i don’t listen to lorde, but pure heroine has a few songs that sound cool.
#answer either chappell’s or sabrina’s role please!!
I started listening to Lorde when Solar Power came out. At first, I didn’t really get the concept or the songs. Sonically, it was amazing but it wasn’t really growing on me. I started to listen to her again around last year and listened to her previous albums but Pure Heroine was the album that I believe made me listen to Lorde. Pure Heroine was definitely an album made for the teenagers growing up today, despite the album being over 12 years old. It is still a timeless album.
#answer Space 5
Never heard any of these, just her radio hits. Maybe I should give it a shot.
Most of lordes albums except solar power are masterpieces but melodrama is literally one of the pop bibles and it solidified jack as an amazing producer, also this album has her best songs and was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2017 for a reason
#answer willoughby
melodrama!!!!
one of my fave albums of all time, tho i do love all lorde albums ofc, the louvre being one of the best songs ever, and supercut???? she was a GENIUS for this album and its hands down one of jacks best produced albums
thanks everyone for answering my question!! i love reading them all :3
#answer ethel :0
Melodrama is perfection for me. Funnily enough I was thinking of playing it on loop today due to some recent events 💀💀 my favorites from it are Supercut, The Louvre, and Perfect Places
#answer (artpop role please!)
virgin is honestly so immaculate but i also love pure heroine...but ill have to say virgin bc of the production + it has no skips
#answer willoughby tucker, ill always love you
definately pure heroine , I've heard a couple of songs from each of her albums but for me pure heroin will definately be the classic #answer- can I get the Chappell Roan role pleaseeee
pure heroine defined my teen years, it's so nostalgic and aged super well imo, i still listen to some songs from there every day :p
#answer Chappell role please
pure heroine is a skipless album in my opinion, my personal favorite is glory and gore!! i don’t actively listen to lorde because i’m not a huge fan of them but when a pure heroine song comes on i sometimes find myself listening to the full album again
#answer twenty one pilots role please!!
Solar Power imho is Lorde’s most misunderstood album. It’s so summery, so lush and has some of her most introspective songwriting to date. I know she doesn’t particularly like it, but it’s so tropical, while also being so impure, it’s beautiful.
Tracks like Secrets, Dominoes, Stoned At The Nail Salon and Mood Ring are some of Lorde’s best imho. The hate this album receives is only because of the fact it preceded Melodrama and not because it’s inherently a BAD album. When you follow up Melodrama, you have high expectations and this album fell slightly of it and that’s why there’s such a negative aura to it.
I honestly think it is more cohesive and more telling of Lorde’s identity and what makes Lorde, Lorde than Virgin does. Solar Power deserves the love it deserves because I think that was Lorde at her happiest and Lorde taking on a more calmer rather than jagged and layered synthpop sound, and it worked.
#answer artpop role
i chose melodrama because i think out of all her albums it’s the best produced, although they’re all amazing. me discovering that album was honestly one of the best days of my life because it’s one of the most relatable and beautifully crafted albums i’ve ever heard. also no other album has sober lol
#answer i’d like the ethel cain role please!!
I chose melodrama because I love Green Light
I said virgin because I’ve heard some of the songs on it and I really like them. I’m not necessarily into Lordes music but I do agree that she deserves the fame as she’s been doing music for a long time and virgin is a good album in my opinion. I do like Lordes writing as well.
#answer - Twenty one pilots
I said Pure Heroine because it has a deep history with me as my family all listened to it growing up, and I like the most tracks on it! I think it’s quintessential pop from 2013-14 alongside 1989
#answer scaled & icy if it’s available please
Im not the biggest fan of Lorde. But, I do think Purr Heroine has made a good change on pop from the 2010s :) A few of the songs on there I really enjoy, so Im happy to see it getting recognized.
