Maybe innocent because of what I’ve been through in the past with my mental health and other stuff. Like “who you are is not where you’ve been” resonates with my experiences with mental health.

I know mental health isn’t really the backstory behind that song (I think, correct me if I’m wrong) but there’s some songs where you can put your own meaning/experience into the song when you hear it and not the experience someone else went through if that makes sense. Because everyone relates to songs differently

I'd agree with you a 100% that different people relate with songs differently.
There are multiple examples for me that I really like just some lines from a song but I relate to it out of the context.
