Usually music or albums I'm very familiar with so I don't get distracted by it. I tried lofi before, but it just doesn't do it for me so now I'll usually throw on Rep, Folklore, or Eternal Sunshine depending on my mood if I really need to focus.

I try to listen to as many genres as possible, but my two favourites are:

Hip hop: I LOVE hip hop. I enjoy various styles, although old school is my favourite. There's just something about a consistent, well produced beat behind a smooth rap flow that gets you in the zone for productive work. Favourite artists include: kdot, eminem, 2pac, mos def, nas, Dr dre

Rock: rock is incredible for many reasons. The main being how diverse it is: anything from something elevating and psychedelic such as Pink Floyd, to something louder and rougher in metal. Furthermore, the complex instrumental and sheer talent behind building each of the many layers of rock creates something so powerful and motivating when completing an essay or doing a calculation. Excellent music to study to. Favourite artists include: Slipknot, bon Jovi, foo fighters, pink floyd, david Bowie, metallica, nirvana, greenday, acdc, maneskin
