Reason: racism
Also true! They found a few cases of voter fraud in 2020, and they were Trump supporters!
Seems to me it's racism and political motivation
Yeah, so he's racist.
Yea dude! Ding ding ding its literally that i promise you
Now that makes me curious if Trump has ever made any other attacks towards people of color
Sometimes things are nuance- these are not one of those times
I mean yeah trump said on a call with Georgia's secretary of state that he wanted him to "find votes" in 2020
The only election fraud is republicans
or if it was just Obama he cared so much about
SIR
Bro...
IM SORRY BUT YES?????!!!! DUHHH!!!
Okay okay, yeah you're right he's definitely racist but damnit I voted him in 2020
Well, whatever I was just misinformed back then
Didnt he not allow poc to work in his buildings for like AWHILE??? Before he was called out on that bs in like th 70s/80s
Like...people have written academic papers
He actually had it out for Obama after Obama made fun of him at the 2011 white house correspondent dinner. I actually learned about this on Anthony Scaramucci's podcast. He was LIVID but that was actually when he decided he's gonna run for president in 2016
Trump ran for president because he hated being humiliated
Typical narcissist behavior. Except america enabled it
Yup that too
Trump always says vile stuff
He said at one point if Ivanka wasn't his daughter he'd be dating her
🤮
Not only that. He was sued for it and lost. Which means, he is legally racist lmao
Well shit, if I could take back my 2020 vote I'd do it
So 2020 was my first ever election and i was also fresh out of high school, i had been so brainwashed from my parents about politics (indoctrination) that in 2020 my parents made me go vote with them and I KNOW they cant see who you vote for but i live with extremely restrictive parents have been my whole like and at that time i was not really my own person like i am today- so i voted for trump in 2020 out of fear from my parents retaliation, a decision i have regretted ever since but also since that choice i have made the earnest decision to keep myself information about current events and the actual problems that occur in everyday life and now i am VERY much a leftist believer and have come a very long way since my ignorant and sheltered mindset
maybe vote 3rd party cause Biden wasn't hot shit either, he was also extremely racist
Yeah, was
Biden got better overtime. He still has that old fashioned shit background. Ironically, Kamala went after him in the 2020 primaries for it
Yeah biden at least learned that was wrong and got more educated
Biden served as VP for Obama for 8 years. You chose the guy who said and again I quote
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the cats. They're eating, they're eating the pets of the people that live there
In the year of our Lord 2024
That's fair, yeah 2020 was my 1st election too, one of my friends brainwashed me into voting for Trump but I didn't even realize he did cause I thought he wasn't that bad, it turns out, he was really bad especially after the election before I knew about the Obama birth certificate thing
I also live in Iowa, very republican state
Remember that one time Trump fuckin' made fun of a disabled reporter by pretending to have muscle spasms on stage at his rally?
and people cheered him for it?
Remember that
We all learn. I voted libertarian in 2016 because I was pissed about a lot of things. I live in a blue state because it doesn't matter, but I know I would have regretted it harder if I lived in a swing state
I will just keep encouraging you to do more research for different sites and listen to the people- i came from a very republican conservative house but I made the decision to walk away from them because I knew it was wrong
Which is weird why he chose Kamala out of all people after being called out cause you'd think that wouldn't make Biden happy nor would you think Kamala would support Biden after his awful past
That makes me so fucking mad thats DISGUSTING and inhumane
I think it's definitely more on the lines of Trump being bad, I can sympathize with normal republicans whom just want their policies in place and not really want to deal with Trump
also yeah I got my research again about the obama certificate from ChatGPT
I tell you it hasn't missed yet, it was quite accurate
Dude please I beg of you to not JUST use chatgpt
Okay that's fair, I'll use more than that
It simplifies it so well I can't help it 😭
but at any point it could have a bias cause it's AI
So um, what about that time Nazis marched with tiki torches and Trump said "good people on both sides"
Theres a few apps that were made to give everyone the info of articles - where they are coming from - and their political alignment
Wait, when did they do that?
1st im hearing of this, I'm interested now
Those apps are nice cause I like simple things that don't have so many ads
Yes trump did say neo nazis and white nationalists were "very fine people"
I havent looked at news in a hot minute but here is one app i have https://apps.apple.com/us/app/straight-arrow-news-san/id6449258793
With the SAN app, watch, read and listen to the latest news updates, original podcasts, commentary from expert analysts and opinions representing a range of views.
Get notified the moment reports that matter to you are published, save stories for later and share them with your contacts and networks…
So in 2017, neo-Nazis marched in Charlottesville and instead of outright denouncing then he said "very fine people on both sides"
https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/trump-defends-2017-fine-people-comments-calls-robert/story%3Fid=62653478
This ideology makes a lot more sense to me now cause I use ChatGPT
I FUCKING REMEMBER THAT i live in virginia- a couple hours away from charlottesville- it was horrendous
I used to think being a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer was career ending. I realize now that many people like everything about Nazis, just not the name.
Its awful
So Trump said "Robert E. Lee was a great general where you like it or not"
I don't think that's a great thing to say knowing he was a confederate general
Well, half his base waves the confederate flag. I'm sure you see quite a few in Florida
Yeah, shit what did I see in him
but then again, I didn't even know he made those comments in 2017
Normally I'd be giving him the benefit of the doubt but nah I really need to stop with that. It ain't worth trying to argue with myself over something that is obvious
I guess i used to see "history" as being history. Then i realized this is history. We are living in major historical moments right now.
that was 2020 me, 2024 me is that I hate Trump
I would understand a statue of Robert E. Lee being held in a museum for historical purposes but not out in the open
It was also the riot that people died in because someone drove a car into a crowd of people (i think i just know a lot of people died)
Oh yeah I heard about that, really messed up for sure
Oh yeah I remember now
Trump really overwhelmed me with just how much garbage there was with him. I can't even remember half the insane moments because there were so many
No, it deserved to get melted down. Most of these confederate statues were purposely put up by founding confederate members to continue the history of the confederacy
It was always tough to figure out if he was truly racist or not due to the debates people would have and the ways they'd defend Trump it was oddly convincing but nowadays I've strayed away from Trump and my support for him
The confederacy is literally a traitor country. I don't understand celebrating it. It's just the exact opposite of American
I didn't even know they had a confederate statue out in the open of a public area for so long
that stuff belongs in historical museums for history reasons, not to encourage it
Trump is an embarrassment
Shit Trump is much worse than I thought
Okay now I see the Trump hate passion
I see where you all come from now
@dapper sail FINALLY
I mean, I still voted Kamala, I just now see where the racist accusations from Trump come from
They were there all along...
Tbh, I thought it was all a sham
ik I was being pretty ignorant
I was playing a lot of mental gymnastics in my head
vote yes bae for president
We've got closeted swifties y'all
I dont see why they care so much who a celebrity endorses
I've seen republican swifties, I know one irl and she doesn't care who Taylor Swift supports
Politics becomes a problem when it affects your everyday life and the decisions you make on everything
It rots your mind if you constantly think about it
Y'all know me pretty well, I take celebrity endorses with the pinch of salt and ill still respect them (if they're not horrible people) regardless on whom they support
A lot of the older WWE wrestlers are still awesome despite me disagreeing with them politically. I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, etc. So they'll always have my respect
Unironically they take their ring personality with them which only makes them cooler lowkey
Hulk Hogan respect lol
So cool when he ripped off his shirt and failed!!!!
Hulk Hogan is past his prime unfortunately
In the 80s and 90s, the shirt rip was iconic
I say this with no upset or mean spirit but I have also noticed you tend to be somewhat naive when it comes to people and their intentions so sometimes its just that some endorsements mean different things for different people. this is a wild statement im going to make but like hitler was just a political figure at first. not saying anyone is like hitler NOT AT ALL just a crazy example to prove a point
Hogan is 71 so it kind of makes sense
Yeah you're not wrong, I am pretty naive about these things cause I tend to view most people that vote in the US with good intentions
that sometimes politics are about more than just government but identity and some view endorsing Trump as cosigning his beliefs
I dont want to make the assumption people are voting someone out of ill intent cause 74 million to 81 million is quite a large amount of people to assume they're bad people
I can see that being true but also I see many just voting Trump cause he has a giant R in parentheses next to his name
Identity politics in a nutshell, you vote only republican or democrat because of your political stance which is a lot of people
Thats why I dont really mind who someone votes for as long as they're not voting with the intent of being a bad person
I think most people are good people and I believe we have a lot more in common than we think, so I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt as long as they're not a toxic person about their vote
What the actual fuck- didnt read the article does i didnt wanna give click views but just the title alone is stupid
America has been in debt for a long time, we're practically bankrupt
The government just prints more money
I'm unsure if Elon is that person to be getting the title of cost cutting is a good idea though
Elon Musk is ehhhhh, I dont know much about him except he named one of his children X AE 12
He is on the level of horrendousness as trump is TRUST me
Her insta did a 13 days post to Taylor!
Picked one of her worst songs but it's okay 🫢
I like bejeweled 😭
Same
That title belongs to most of debut, but I do lowkey like what they did lol
I've always thought of him as an intelligent when it came to business, science, etc.
To know if he's a good or bad person or not, I'm unsure. I do know he loves to troll his own platform
Elon Musk has always given me this Young Sheldon vibe like he's intelligent but also really weird and has a hard time knowing when he should not be speaking
Elon Musk backing Trump has never felt right to me knowing he's big on fighting climate change with electric cars. I don't see how an environmentalist can back republicans so much
Its because Trump would give his companies a lot more power in government, almost a monopoly even
It's why I decided to not vote Trump after RFK Jr endorsed him because it never made sense. Why does RFK Jr want to back up someone that has massive disagreements with climate and social policies
I’m voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz! I could never vote for Trump, and never will
If RFK Jr was still running, I would've voted him but after he decided to drop out, I went Kamala
Elon is literally only pushing trump so hard because he thinks by helping him win that he'll get pardoned by trump for all the illegal stuff he's done
rfk is strange
RFK Jr and I, we're on the same wavelength when it comes to policies. Weird guy for sure, done some questionable things he should have kept private but he was the most agreeable out of every candidate
he’s really confusing to me
Did you know Elon Musk was subpoenaed in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case?
Did you know Diddy helped Elon purchase Twitter?
Did you know Elon was friends with Ghislaine Maxwell who pimped out little girls?
Is Elon trying to buy the presidency to stay out of prison?
elon is also insanely weird
I did not need to know that RFK Jr had collected roadkill in his past. That was just TMI
Some things are just better off not saying to the public
The story his daughter told nearly made me barf
What was the story?
Basically that when he chainsawed the dead whale's head off and strapped it to the roof of his car, they'd have to wear plastic bags to prevent the juices from falling on them
If Nicole Shanahan were running without RFK Jr, I'd go with her too. I'll admit, I like RFK Jr but his stories are so weird
wtf he cut the head off of a dead whale 😭
I knew he had a drug problem but that's just messed up
I'd support him a lot more if he didn't do those things
I hope he never does those things again if he wants me to vote him in 2028
When they would accelerate, “whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet,” Kick Kennedy explained to Town & Country Magazine The post RFK Jr.’s Daughter Says Dad Cut Off a Whale’s Head, Drove It 5 Hours Home appeared first on TheWrap.
Its actually so nasty
I hear stuff about Diddy but I don't know the story about him
Trump is weird
Yup... they're litigating things that didn't even happen yet just so they can say later on "SEE WE TOLD YOU"
There isn't even 81 states to begin with lmao
81 states of delulu 💅
That is awfully nasty, what was RFK Jr thinking
apparently he likes studying animal skulls from what the article says
All I can say is, weird and nasty hobby he had back then
He was telling the bear cub story very recently to Roseanne Barr. Like, the public didn't even really know about the bear cub until a few months ago when he decided to talk about it
RFK Jr does not have a TMI filter
Good take
He isnt tho- all of his “accomplishments” weren’t his- he bought everything he hasnt CREATED anything
Someone actually wrote Lebron James on the ballot 😭
He isnt he is very transphobic and misogynistic
Yeah tbh I really didn't look into Elon much
I'll take your word for it
What'd he do that was transphobic? this is a first I've heard of that
I usually just see people upset with how Elon treats his platform
Uhh the whole olympics situation?? He was apart of the gang that called imani khalif a man and also one of his kids is trans and he dead names them all the time
Oh I see, yeah that's definitely a problem dead naming people
that's not nice
I didn't really care for the Olympics this year except for Basketball cause of my glorious Lebron James
Btw he profited off of apartheid Africa with his father’s emerald mines there
so I definitely did not hear anything about the Olympic situation
That's not surprising knowing his family owned emerald mines
Thats crazy, cuz so many people were being so nasty and transphobic towards imani khalif AND SHE IS FROM A COUNTRY WHERE IT IS ILLEGAL TO BE TRANS AND OR GAY
Its ironic because Imani Khalif isn't trans. She's born a woman. She's always identified as a woman. They're just upset that she has a naturally more masculine build
I will admit it was confusing hearing about the chromosomes situation with her having XY chromosomes but she didn't deserve to be bullied. If she went through the proper testings, I don't see why people were quick to be rude to her
If she's intersex, she can't control that
also yeah in her country it's illegal to be in any form of the LGBT, it's Armenia right?
Wait it's Algeria
my bad 😅
That's where transphobia gets tripped up imo. There are people born with chromosomes that don't match their biological sex. It's called being intersex. The spectrum of gender isn't anymore defined than the spectrum of biological sex. It's not easy to understand, but it's real and I think more people need to acknowledge that it's not what society used to think it is
A huge part of why Elon bought twitter was because his trans daughter hates him because of how much of a moron he is
He was upset all his favorite transphobic accounts were getting banned on the site itself
All Elon pushes is transphobia and election lies to try and help trump win
Exactly, it was definitely wrong for people to immediately attack her
I get where it was confusing how she had a much more masculine build but she fairly got into the olympics
she didn't cheat by any means
Its literally a gentic disease she was born a woman and RAISED as a woman
I mean she's a woman by their own definition of a woman
Even if she was trans she didnt deserve ANY of the criticism she got
Yeah she is woman, her chromosomes are XY but she was still born a woman and it's crazy people don't see that
People are too quick to harass others these days
Well yeah right wingers are just too ignorant to understand science lol
I think they just have a high ego and believe they are right on everything and whatever a right winger says, they want to believe is right
cause they don't want to feel dumb for being wrong but politics shouldn't be like that, you will be wrong on some things and you will be right on other things
It's important to learn rather than assume you are an idiot because you were mislead
Republicans only gain support through ignorance and lack of education
Hence why they're so anti college and school and see them as "woke indoctrination centers"
It’s these type of ppl that lowkey piss me off for some reason. Saw a pic of someone voting play boy carti the other day. Nearly lost my shit ngl
I'm definitely not anti-college but college these days isn't as important as it once was. I think it's important for higher up jobs like being a lawyer, scientist, etc.
And fear
That too yeah
but to get really far, soft skills and having those necessary skills for the job is the most important thing that job applicants look for
Literally my whole childhood indoctrination was based on fear- pretty much the reason why i hate men too
I think it's funny but yeah at the same time elections are important
It’s not funny tbh, it’s more of like a why moment
College teaches critical thinking skills which 99% of trumpers lack
Hence why they end up believing the most batshit insane stuff
We aren't all bad, just be careful which men you interact with
I think I'm a good man (I hope)
They think any science that comes out in studies is "woke made up bullshit"
Some people don't see politics as deeply as others is why so they'll meme around with it
No i know that but like it has still been instilled in me since childhood- cuz especially my father wouldnt CONSTANTLY tell me this- that “men only want bad things from you and never have good intentions for women”
The word woke pisses me off so much
they call anything woke. They don't even give proper criticism, they just call it woke so they think it's bad
Did you know it was once a black culture term? Poc were use it to communicate that people should stay wary of the police- thats a watered down understanding of it tho
Like everything the right keeps taking from marginalized groups
Your father kept telling you that? That's not very good advice, there's many men out there that want the best for you
I was raised by a single mom so seeing the way other dudes were raised feels foreign to me
Well duh but now i got father issues 🤡
My father was hardly around so I can't even have father issues 😭
Hun…. That still causes father issues 💀
If they wanna meme around with it they should carry their asses somewhere else that ISNT somewhere where you cast your vote on such important things. This is an important election. Not a game.
Well, I will admit I was looking for a masculine figure to help guide me through life so yeah I guess you could call that father issues
my father never understood my autism. My mom believes he also had autism too
Yeah I wish they didn't do that either cause political elections are important
They are far more important than some ppl think it is. You’re voting on who you’re choosing to represent you and this country for the next 4 years. Who you trust most with the issues that matter to you.
I got a good laugh at that cause political memes are funny to me but yeah people need to take voting more seriously
my girlfriend told me she's not voting this year
There's not much I can really do to convince her cause I don't want to feel like I'm forcing her to do things
A couple of my friends say they’re not voting which makes me sad cuz i know i prob cant convince them to vote
Fuck wrong their again
it’s better to spoil your vote than not vote at all
Yeah it's definitely not easy to get people to vote, many find it meaningless cause life usually ends up the same in their eyes
Once Biden came into office, the world kept spinning and life was the same for me
Thats where my friends are coming from that like both people suck and the fact that harris is supporting israel is a big turn off to them but i know that they hate trump with a burning passion
Yeah anyone who supports Palestine in the US is SOL
I had us govt today and one of the topics we talked about was voting. And why ppl don’t vote. One of them was bc they think their vote won’t make a difference which I think is the most common reason.
bipartisan thing is supporting Israel
That makes sense, it feels like it doesn't do much at all
but it does, it helps choose who you want to run for the next 4 years
And I can understand that point tbh
even state and local elections make a big impact on how things are ran in your county/state
but yeah I see why people don't vote cause 1. politics can get really toxic 2. it feels like nothing gets done regardless who wins 3. just don't feel like it in general
Local elections affect day to day lives that most presidential elections
my girlfriend is not voting because of #1 mainly
I would argue theyre more important
her family is pretty divided on Trump and Kamala
same with my family too. Most are voting Trump while myself, my mom, brother, and sister went Kamala
Yeah local elections are very important
boring and you can't find much juicy information but important
My house is secretly divided cuz my siblings and i dont say who we voted for as to not piss off mom and dad
It sucks that it has to be like that y'know
It does
I wish political conversations with my mom were chill but they aren't
she's dead set on Kamala cause of Tiktok
I agree with her decision on Kamala but she can get a little overboard sometimes and she insults family members secretly for voting Trump
My parents are dead set on trump cuz religion and shit and misinformation
Its wild to me that people aren't doing whatever it takes to stop Trump
I grew up as a Christian but politically her and I remain pro-choice just cause it's a safer route
pro-life mostly is for Catholics and should not really be a political thing
I mean, I don't like abortion when used as birth control but I also don't think it should be banned entirely, that's a really bad idea
Fox by chance?
Cuz theyre stupid imo- i really feel like i dont know who my parents are ever since i got out of high school
They dont actually watch news but idk if they read articles from fox on their phones
I hate Fox News and CNN
My mom doesnt i know for sure cuz she doesnt care to educate herself about politics cuz “she hates it” and just does whatever my dad tells her to do
even as a moderate democrat, I can't really stand CNN's leftist bias
They are, he’s just delaying everything so if he gets into office he can pardon himself
Not defending CNN here but every news outlet is gonna have bias
Examples?
I did that in 2020 tbh, lowkey I regret it but also it was Joe Biden and he wasn't all that great either
trusting friends that you think are intelligent does not mean they're correct politically, definitely a good thing I picked up
No one who gets an abortion-gets one cuz they want one- NO ONE wants an abortion
It's mostly the way they word their headlines that automatically assume it's gonna have a really crazy bias
I should find one real quick
Yeah - but that’s always the way it is
When Fox/Newsmax push to the right further, other media sources push further to the left because they have to combat something
So polarising in America
I would hope they don't actually want one but they just need one for reasonable reasons
Exactly, that's why I can't stand right-wing and left-wing news stations
Or the Republican ‘they’re doing it after 8/9mths’
there’s no evidence for it…
the ones that don't hide it at all especially
ABC is pretty central right? Historically
I hear they have a slight leftist bias but not by that much
Same with MSNBC
Yeah there's definitely bias with most news stations
I don't think you'll ever be able to escape bias news
Crazy cuz arent they owned by disney lol
Huhhhh??
Cuz abc made once upon a time right???
Ok am i stupid or confused
Ok i was right!! Thank god
In this country, it’s ridiculous what the right say
They say the BBC is very left wing, when the guy who owns it is quite right wing imo
The right says it’s left wing, and the left says it’s right wing
seems pretty unbiased to me
I never knew that
Eyy fun fact time ig?! Lol
It definitely is ridiculous
I think there's just too much arguing with who's right and whos wrong when politics at the end of the day should be about trying to make the country the best it can be
It should be, but most if not all politicians care more about filling their own wallet
Unfortunately yeah
Everything looks left wing if you're coming from the party that is head-over-heels for Donald Trump.
Tf
I voted today
What the actual fuck
Yeah. I agree
Im gonna vote this saturday when early voting opens at my library
That seems really late for EARLY voting.
Early voting just refers to voting before Nov 5th (election day)
For this place yea but early voting has been going on for other facilities since october 14ish?
It feels weird this time not backing Trump but I lowkey feel like I'm not lying to myself anymore
Maybe oct 5?
Thats good!
Good for you
Idk when it started in Washington state
I heard someone say "early voting is a threat to democracy" on Twitter 💀
I think they forgot we all have lives and could be busy the day of the election
Thats why election day should be federal holiday BUT NOOOOO THE GOV KEEPS SHUTTING THAT IDEA DOWN
If anything, only being able to vote on 1 specific day is a threat to democracy cause not everyone can go to a polling place on that one day cause many people have a life
Also it would be 100x more crowded
It doesnt get as crowed now at least
Most of the traffic is in the morning before people go to work
Thankfully yeah
Around my location, everyone that I saw that was early voting was all elderly people. I was the youngest there 😭
Tucker Carlson basically endorses a coup attempt if Harris wins: "When they tell you they've won, no! You can look them straight in the face and say, 'I'm sorry. Dad's home. And he's pissed'"
You hear people who voted for trump before are now voting for Harris.
I haven't heard much the other way- former biden voters voting for Trump this time
It takes a lot of work to abandon old belief systems for something you feel is better. You're doing the work.
Always how it is, seniors actually get out to vote
ironic how people are doing something about the future when they have less of a future left.
Trump is mentally unstable
I can attest to this
Yeah it was definitely difficult cause that feeling of being wrong politically gets to you
Especially since you thought you made the right decision but then it turns out it was the wrong one the entire time
So then you keep fighting yourself to prove that you made the right decision
A lot of people I've noticed do this as well
I've tried to defend Trump for so long before the 2020 election and then after the election, he made it even harder to defend by not admitting defeat
Water is wet?
Water itself is not wet
it makes things wet but doesnt possess that quality
oh shit i just realized how wrong that sounds 😭
Nah its very dry (totally)
So I keep seeing people on my tiktok fyp saying "you can't be racist to white people" and their reason is "white people have no culture"
That absolutely makes 0 sense. They say you can't be racist to white people yet they make a racist statement. I'm confused are we changing the definition of racism?
I'm not sure if this topic I'm bringing up is political but I've always wondered why people act this entitled and also proceed to vote Kamala and then also say All Trump supporters are racist
Huh?
Just because one person is an idiot doesn’t equal generalisation
Thats true, I just wanted to know if you all were able to make sense of the claim they made
I always see many people on Tiktok saying it but it doesn't make sense to me
But then again, Tiktok doesn't exactly breed intelligence and critical thinking
You can be racist to white people yes
I thought I was the only one that thought that
Thank goodness I'm not
https://x.com/birrion/status/1849280301882839196?s=46 Idk if these posts are real or not but they’re pissing me off 😭
I saw someone else write in “free palestine”
like yes i agree but if we don’t lock in and get harris in office then trump is going to turn the gaza strip into a parking lot 😭
also jill stein sucks
Either candidate, Palestine is screwed
you'd be surprised how people are acting esp on tiktok/socials with this stuff
either putting in like you mentioned free palestine in the write in or voting for jill stein like
i wish these people understand that third party in this country is just a wasted vote like you might as well throw out your ballot
yeah
im glad that they’re at least being called out for it instead of people agreeing with them
it's like you could argue yeah both aren't great for the current crisis but like you said
trump ain't gonna end the conflict
kamala at the very least seems a bit more open to trying to change stuff etc
I don’t understand how they see them both as equally awful like kamala has called for a ceasefire and trump is like the #1 israel fan

i think it's one thing to want a ceasefire and for this conflict etc to end
but like you have to keep in mind this election is gonna greatly impact our democracy as a whole
this is not the election to go single issue on my dawg like why do they not get this
Even then, he said bad shit about Jews if they don’t vote for him
Some are real
I don't think it's enough to tip the results but yeah... there are people that would rather let the guy that said he'd want to deport Palestine protesters to Gaza than vote for Harris
Harris want a 2 state solution. Meaning she wants Palestine to become a country
Trump said Israel can "do whatever the hell they want". And he had a meeting with Netanyahu not long ago. Netanyahu is right wing. He wants Trump to win.
The 2 candidates are NOT the same and the worst thing anyone can do for Gaza is let Trump win
Taking one good look at this poster... yeah he's not the type that would ever vote democrat anyway
Voting 3rd party isn't a wasted vote if you can get enough people to vote 3rd party
the only way to do that is to change people's mindsets on voting whom they actually want to vote for instead of choosing democrat or republican
Difficult? for sure but I respect anyone that votes 3rd party in hopes that one day they will make their debut as being a popular party
You like democracy right? Then you shouldn't be unhappy someone decides to vote 3rd party.
Currently I'm trying to focus more on voting competent democrats however if there's another person I can be on the same wavelength with in terms of policies and representation, I'd vote them even if they were 3rd party
Voting 3rd party isn't a wasted vote if you can get enough people to vote 3rd party
It's such a massive IF, that's why it's a wasted vote.
Voting third party, due to the FPTP system that the US employs, only serves as a protest vote as it is equivalent to just throwing the vote away.
The time to take third parties seriously is if they've either overtaken the Dems or GOP in terms of popularity (in which case, that makes them not third party) or if the system of selection itself is changed. The time to take the Green Party or the Libertarians seriously is during the Primaries for, again, the main two. Otherwise, you're throwing your vote away.
The spoiler effect is incredibly strong which is why everyone rallies to the middle after the nominations. You can't afford to split the vote. It's also why there's a lot of mudslinging that XYZ is a plant by the other side. Splitting the vote is such an effective method of neutering a numerically superior opposition. Hence, voting third party is a move usually done if you're completely fine with your ideological peers losing due to the split vote.
but hey I'd love it if the Libertarian Party could chip away at the GOP's popularity, that'd be actually amazing for the Democrats since that guarantees them multiple consecutive two-term administrations until either side of the "Right" wipes out the other
Honey, I hate to tell you this, but Jill Stein is a shill. She only pops up once every 4 years to pull votes and then never does anything else. She's not a viable green party candidate. A REAL green party candidate would be a much better option, but the dems would never allow that.
Jill Stein gets funding from Republicans
Her own kids told her not to run this year
If she actually cared about the environment then she'd support the only party that stands a chance to pass climate policy in this very crucial time to act
We're already seeing climate injustice. The people affected by the 2 massive hurricanes we just saw are some of the first very very visible victims that we have in our country. Not the first ones that exist, but the first ones very nationally recognized as suffering from climate crisis.
Trump will be on Joe Rogan experience podcast
of course
Im getting so many god damn political ads im contemplating getting youtube red
Can someone explain me when he said it cause I didn’t found he said it 💀
Even if he didn’t say it there is a LOT that points to him admiring dictatorship
Proof?
I mean why
When he said that if he wins we wouldn’t ever have to worry about voting again
I mean what does that tell you. Now unless you’re maga then you’ll find a way to say well that was taken ooc like any other maga supporter would say
When he said that?
Yeah this is shit in general in some of the things i support trump and some of the things i support kamala its kinda like saying I don’t support anyone
But ik for my country trump is better but it’s not about it
On Friday night, At the Believers' Summit hosted by Turning Point Action, former President Donald Trump asked the crowd in attendance to "get out and vote."
Trump also added that if he was elected as president of the United States again, "You won't have to vote anymore."
"In four years, You don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed so good...
The actual video, in case you thought it was made up or smth
I know
Trump is gonna kill this country
For israel (my country) trump is better and it’s not a secret
But I don’t vote anyway
I can’t 😭
Lol i saw an article someone posted here earlier that rumors he said that too
Yeah
He actually said that he wishes he had generals like Hitler’s
Also said he’d ’like to have the generals that Hitler had’
Damn, I’m slow
He never said thattt
I mean there is no real proof that he said that
and it's not like trump against the jews 💀
Well i have trump square in my country there is no budget to time square
He said it
Well, indirectly
Yeah trump literally wants to be hitler 2.0
He fully plans on destroying the constitution and putting project 2025 in its place and wants to be a full on dictator
Same
He also admitted that Hitler was a great leader
As much as I like talking about politics and all, I dont care for these irrelevant ads about Miller-Meeks especially since I voted against her already (she's current Iowa house representative)
Like wtf why would you say such thing like Hitler
Do you really know how much evil he was?
This is way too close my goodness
Jon, why waste time defending him? If you've made your choices, that's on you. There are plenty of things that the man has said that are hypocritical and inconsistent with what his voter base actually wants.
If Trump wins, gonna blame it on Biden tbh
Biden wasn't exactly a good representative to help Kamala
Eepy Joe shouldn't have been elected in the first place imo
It's not just Biden. It's all of the dems. The whole party is complicit in the increasingly quick descension into christofascism that our country is headed for.
Also yes he did say it
Yeah the DNC is not very good but neither is the RNC
Can you blame people for voting 3rd party at this point
I don't support neither of them, sometimes trump is right and sometimes kamala is right i'm just saying i didn't saw a proof that he really said that so i'm just asking. thank you
it was a step in the right direction
Sort of but tbh I dont really know what Biden accomplished during his 4 years
lol You're talking to a leftist. So I couldn't give two shits about what Trump has or hasn't said. I don't support either party either. I'm just voting for harm reduction at this point.
cool
Biden at times made himself look silly with the stuttering and him looking unsure of where he's at
He's too old
Probably the worst candidate cognitively we've chosen in a while
Trump may be 2nd place for that
At a certain point, your vote is not for you/your candidacy isn't for your benefit. It's for younger people. It would be cool to have a president with actual stakes in the outcome of global world politics and the wellbeing of our country.
Most of these elections hardly have a benefit for me
Everything's the same almost every election
Roe v wade overturn was the most effective thing I've seen in US politics in a while cause that has affected people I know and love
Our constitution makes change slow. It's built that way. Unfortunately, it probably needs some updating. Most governing documents don't last this long.
We don't need fast changes
bb people are dying actively from our government's policies every day.
We don't need fast changes
I'm not saying we don't need any changes
Just the speed. Imagine if it was faster and trump acting on impulse and changing everything
which is the reason why we don't have fast changes.
Polls mean nothing rn imo
Right wingers flooded the averages last minute in 2022 like they are right now. I present to you the 2022 Michigan Governor results as evidence:
I had jen kiggins but if i see one more jen kiggins was caught in a pay to play scandal IMA OFF MYSELF
The media is not holding them both to account the same
IMAGINE if Biden was on a stage, dancing to songs for 38 minutes straight! The media would be all over him!
Yeah that's fair, polling showed Trump losing in 2016 but he won
Polls are definitely not the most accurate but I guess they kind of give you an idea on what to expect
She still had a pretty decent amount of voters but yeah it shows that polls aren't 100% accurate in terms of the percentage of votes they will get
however this time it's looking really close for Trump and Kamala so I see it being a 50/50 here on who wins
Trump can definitely win, but id rather be kamala than Trump based on what I'm seeing
Yeah I have a feeling Kamala will win, it'll definitely be close
probably even closer than Trump and Biden in 2020
One big thing that also is helping Trump out is that Kamala announcing that she is running and Biden is dropping out was too recent. They should've made that decision last year instead of doing it 3 months ago
Cause that could be one thing that may lean people towards Trump cause there's probably still people who don't know who Kamala Harris is
You'd be surprised the amount of people who live under a rock (not literally but metaphorically of course)
This election will be a intense one
It will
No way
Would have given trump team time to prepare defense and prepare attacks against harris
They were planning on really driving home how old and mentally unfit biden is to serve. They got caught when biden dropped and suddenly their whole line of attack maybe them look like FOOLS
Who doesn't know who Kamala Harris is/was as vice president
I can see that reasoning if dems went with one of their other choices they were proposing
I've seen people who were just like "who's that"
honestly many people forget the VP. Many forgot who Mike Pence was
you'd be surprised
I voted early (mail in) I voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz!
EVERYONE PLEASE TELL YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS TO VOTE, THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ELECTION
Way ahead of you, unfortunately my gf doesn't wanna vote
Im voting tomorrow hopefully it isnt busy
I don't blame her, kinda stressful to deal with it 😪
Yeah
There's lots of voting options
It's important to vote
I'm going canvassing in Wisconsin tomorrow
I gotta take some advance i heard: turn that anxiety into action
the Texas rally is big only because of Beyoncé
It is but it discourages people when you have people that you know and love start being assholes to you about who you voted for
Your vote is private info. You don't have to tell anyone.
Exactly
Elections are decided by turnout
this election cycle has been so absurd 😭
went from one of the biggest “it’s over”s ever and now we’re so back
True but people should still be nicer about different opinions
Tell that to the GOP
Im tryna do recent research on who i need to vote for tomorrow and sheriff is up for elections but both options suck 💀
acab babbbyyyyyyyy
If all else fails, vote blue
Their are no blue options for sheriff 😭
Absolutely but am i allowed to not fill in a circle??
you can abstain from a section yeah.
One is a republican and one got arrested this past summer 😭
Cause that'd spoil the ballot
Oh! Ok cool
The school board member option is running unopposed but i cant tell what the fuck he wants cuz his website is so damn vague
Ok so i found out i dont wanna vote for him cause he is under the same fucking page my brother is 🤢🤮 so now i know he is republican
I told that to both the GOP and the DNC
acab is not nice, I like cops 😦
not the ones that are corrupt of course
There was only 1 person for the Sheriff but tbh I don't know what the Sheriff does in politics
The DNC: "We want everyone to have healthcare"
GOP: "We want to take away your rights"
Yes, both sides need to do better and be nice to each other.
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say the GOP want to take away rights, you'll still have rights even if Trump wins
reproductive rights? yeah probably
they just hate abortion which I don't blame them but also abortion shouldn't be super politicized so I'm pro-choice politically
They've chipped away at any semblance of respect they deserve with the rhetoric they've been spouting in the last decade
You have to understand it from their POV why they believe in what they believe. It's not always in bad faith
The GOP explicitly wants a fascist state with all the shit Trump has been saying and that JD Vance has been covering for
Yeah and what they believe in fucking sucks ass.
I'm tired of playing ball with people who just don't know or don't care about the foundational values of a free and democratic state
They all explicitly are for the actual textbook definition of a fascist
I think it's a tad bit of a fear monger, we've had Trump in office before and we've never turned into a fascist government
democrats and republicans are lowkey the same I mean, you have democrats whom are willing to vote republican and republicans that are willing to vote democrat
Absolutely fucking not they are the same
That is such a huge cope, it's uncanny
you can’t be an exception if the whole institution is corrupt. 🤷♀️
There's many cops whom are cops to try and make their communities safer
and then there are others like Derek Chauvin whom are trying to make things worse
And then there's the majority that don't speak out against their colleagues and thus are complicit in the injustices
Why don’t you look up some statistics on cops killing citizens and the consequences.
Because there are few consequences.
It depends on which republican you talk to, they aren't all built the same. Some of them are considered "RINOs" because they hate Trump
also google 60% and cop
while others will support Trump to no end
What does gop mean again ik that dnc is democratic national convention right?
You're fucking wrong
I trust the military more than I trust cops. At least they make it clear that they’re going to kill you. And they have SO MUCH MORE TRAINING
Grand Ole Party I think
Theres no way stop messin
it does
ARE YOU SERIOUS????? WHat
Believe me I know there's corrupt cops out there and corrupted police stations but I don't get a good feeling by saying ACAB. Just feels toxic towards the good cops y'know. I can agree we need police reform and better training
Go find a party that wants both of those things because it sure as hell ain't the Republicans
Cops don’t do anything though. We need to replace those institutions with aid workers.
If you can agree they need reform and better training then you agree acab cuz thats the very simple watered down version of acab
It's spelled Grand Old Party my bad, there is no E in the middle
I understand having detectives
detectives are just nerds and we love those
I understand having special units for busting bigger groups of criminals.
but saying cops are bad gives me a bad feeling 😦
Thats ducking crazy that - thats what that means like imagine taking them seriosuly
I don’t understand having a power hungry local militia that is not beholden to the rule of law in most cases.
Well you'll still have republicans voting Trump due to identity politics
We need mental health crisis trained workers. We need social workers.
But there's also republicans whom will vote Kamala and democrats whom will vote Trump
It goes away after you see their brutality - i remember watching a video of senseless violence cops have towards people for no reason and escalating situations that shouldnt have been done in the first place
Yeah so identity politics matters more to them which means they're fucking idiots or traitors or both
THIS!!!!
God, remember when Romney was just a chill guy who said one cringe binders comment
US politics in a nutshell, many think the R or the D next to their name means they're the candidate to vote for
Every tally I see for DJT on election day represents a person who explicitly wants to live in a dictatorship with no checks on the President
They don’t have any kind of comprehensive training on deescalation or like restraining someone without hurting them like healthcare workers do.
I literally am going through a training at work for de-escalation with customers and im just a fucking library worker
Yeah I've seen videos like that and then I also see videos of cops doing good things which makes me feel bad for the good cops
Doesnt mean i should have that training but IF IM GETTING IT WHY ARENT COPS
Good cops don’t stay cops for very long.
The good cops know what they signed up for and honestly never last long
The GOP is so lucky the Democrats are a bunch of toothless fucking idiots with some decency that they won't just do the stupidly obvious thing of ordering the arrest of literally all GOP officials as an official Presidential act
It’s institutional change what needs to happen.
They either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain
I don't think we'll be going under a dictatorship but the Trump cult might be why it feels that way
Look up how long cops get trained in other countries and you’ll see why it’s so fucked here.
DNC has no spine, they let the RNC walk all over them, it's sad
TRUMP LITERALLY SAID HIS FIRST ACT OF PRESIDENCY WAS TO BE A DICTATOR ON DAY ONE
Trump has no guardrails because he literally just wants to install loyalists from the courts to Congress to the fucking military brass
I swear every “bipartisan” resolution that’s been made in the past 10 years has been the dnc rolling over and saying, ‘okay I guess that’s fine’
Man another night and i find myself still up late past 1am just to talk politics lmao im such a loser 😂
Literally one of project 2025s goal 💀
The only fucking reason Trump isn't a dictator now is because the government was full of people that still had some loyalty to their job and human decency
But now Trump just wants loyalists
Im gonna admit something so stupid but for most of my life i thought dc was in washington state cuz it was called washington dc lmaooo
This is a hot take but I believe he meant he's gonna reverse the policies Biden put into place. Being a real dictator would be more on the lines of taking out any political opposition and stuff like that. Trump just doesn't seem to say the right words most of the time
With how our government is set up, I don't see how we'd be a dictatorship y'know
Mike Pence certified an election he lost which was his fucking job and Trump wanted him hanged for it
oh honey noooo 😭
Hun wdym hot take??? Oh you mean yours is a hot take
JD Vance doesn't have the fucking balls to do the right thing
I blame in on how my city is named but if i tell you my city it would dox me lmao
Yeah this is another reason why Trump needs to stop being a sore loser cause his cult hates Mike Pence
Yeah mine's a hot take
you said sw va right? I think I have an idea.
You do realize that SCOTUS literally allowed that right
Like Joe Biden has the keys right now
They allowed dictatorship?
HE PLANS ON TAKING OUT OPPOSITION HE SAID IT AND ITS OUTLINED IN PROJECT 2025!
so can the director of the CIA but we don’t talk about that
True
He doesn't support Project 2025 but let me see if Agenda 47 actually lists something like that. Feels oddly too extreme for him
Se i think if we talking cardnial directions
Thats a whole lie and you know it is there is no way he doesnt support it when its founding members ARE PEOPLE FROM HIS CABINET
also fair. lol.
He should've said that the moment that shit leaked and not 6 months later
He probably just got some staffers to copy paste P2025, cut out the worst shit, and call it a day because it's not like Trump had any real policy plans until then
let’s be a little more gentle here though. @dapper sail is coming out of a right wing bubble. It takes a while to come to certain realizations.
Man wish the cia would put a hit out on me and take me out of my missery /hj
Don't you love it when you get a classified documents case thrown out and then you get handed an AttGen spot
Yeah I did hear there were people whom were from his former administration whom made that project
Now I'm more in the centrist bubble
My apologies for being aggressive and caps locking im too passionate and sensitive lol
I think it’s telling that the rest of them won’t touch Trump with a 39 1/2 foot pole
Passionate just being another word for angry feminist lol tehehe
Take the list of people from the last Administration and remove the ones that haven't publicly said he's a fucking fascist and the ones in jail. That's who made Project 2025
pretty much
Lets just hope Kamala is the right one
I definitely don't wanna regret my vote for her
Could be worse
imo she’s not the right one but she’s what we we’ve got.
Honestly, at least her mannerisms are better than Trump's
That's the biggest problem with Trump, his mannerisms are terrible
And transphobia
not only that, racism, etc. etc.
I thought it was the lying, cheating, stealing, bigotry, and sexual assaults but diff’rent strokes I guess.
Because minimizing the very very clear flaws in this man is why people think he's okay
If he didn’t have money and powerful friends, the man would be in prison.
That's what I meant by mannerisms, all of those are big reasons why Trump is terrible
ah. thanks for clarifying
transphobia I'm not sure what he did that was transphobic but yeah he's definitely a massive narcissist
Gimme a sec i need to google a meme to react to this
I’m sorry, did you not hear him talk about the ‘transgender operations in schools’ ?
that don’t exist?
....victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you
That enough for you?
There are so many examples
wolfie we’re you looking for the tiktok with the kid and his mom?
Honestly idk maybe what im about to say is a hot take but the very idea of making heath care unaccessible for many (which he is tryna do) is very transphobic
it’s classist too
No i found the image i wanted to use lol- whats the tiktok about? Im not on that app
The 2024 Republican primary is turning into a real race to the bottom on the existence of trans people and also you can tell that Trump is really phoning this video in.
Like, come on
Republican and Transphobia. They're basically the same thing.
And go ahead and see what other Republicans say about Blaire White who herself is a Republican
Btw just gonna drop this here too because a lot of republicans have issues with trans women more than trans men cuz they infantilize trans men while demonize trans women
Unrelated but did you see that video of Ben Shapiro with that transguy
Extremely cathartic watch
Fuck, I have to go find it
It's a small portion of a Jubilee video but I don't want to Link to Jubilee cause fuck those guys
You're able to leave it blank if you can't decide
Thank god cuz i dont wanna vote for a republican and def not a guy who is getting arrested and charged with stuff
OH GOD NOT JUBILEE UURGGGG
It was goooood
Me when i see jubliee uploading another “in the middle” videos
Yes
What am I looking at?
Jsut remember the word they use is middle ground
Angry lady taking it out on computer
That's a new way. Most of the time it's a hammer
The original meme looks something like this
Ight off to bed for sure this time… probably
that’s what we all say wolfie but look at us 😭
Definitely. I just spent at least an hour after tay ended ss and fixed my Playlist i have for her.
Trump played undertaker theme music and stood there at rally 💀
Is that the one he was 3 hours late to?
Yes
10 days
In 10 days I'll be drinking a whole bottle of jaegermeister and not watching the results
I find it's always bad luck when I'm actually watching results, sports too
he really isn’t tho if you think about it
and the sa
I was gonna vote today but the line is so long i wont have time 😭
Also crazy experience i had with a customer today 😭
so here's some fun
https://x.com/ThePrimalDino/status/1849971329010639301 https://vxtwitter.com/eric_broe/status/1849973490520064118
So, Kamala is on the right side of the thumbnail, which has always meant a loss.
BUT she also goes second, which has always meant a win.
Truly a tossup. https://t.co/ypovZoJNu1
They tryna get us
I love the presidential rap battles
They gotta bring back Abraham Lincoln at the end like they did for the first two
Trump: Dictators are the smartest people. Xi controls 1.4 billion people with an iron fist
Rogan: But dictators are evil and dangerous
Trump: Actually, we have evil people in our country https://t.co/Pr6mwqFMjr
Trump supporters: No you see he didn't mean it like THAT
Also Trump supporters: I like Trump because he says it like it is!
Trump campaign: actually he meant it like Y instead of X
Trump: No I did mean X
Person: “Trump said xyz”
Trump supporter: “no he didn’t!”
person shows proof
Trump supporter: “he didn’t mean it like that! It’s taken out of context!”
He's lies about the stupidest things that are easily refuted
"actually we have evil people in our country"
yeah, im pretty sure the "evil people" are just him and his cronies-
He projects so much
Yeah the enemy within is YOU and your maga cult followers right wing extremists
right
‘The enemy from within’
Trump bankrupted his CASINO lmao how do you mess that up
help what 💀
Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. was a gambling and hospitality company. The company previously owned and operated the now-demolished Trump Plaza and Trump World's Fair (both in Atlantic City), the now-closed Trump Marina, Trump Casino & Hotel in Gary, Indiana, Trump 29 in Coachella, California, and Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. It was fou...
I could put my car in charge of. Casino and they’d still make money
The art of the deal lmao
People think he's a successful businessman but he's dumb af and awful
man there's already people outside of MSG for his rally tomorrow
god i hate that he's doing a rally here
yesterday i had a "conversation" with someone i sit next to in class about whether we're pro trump or kamala and... yikes...
she kept going on about how kamala never did anything during her time as VP (to which i passively informed her that VPs dont do much to begin with) and how shes backing trans activism as if thats a bad thing
i legitimately lost braincells listening to her yapping
Sharp intake. Oh
Jfc
for some reason trumpers have this mindset of "look at what kamala's done since being in office! SHE HASN'T DONE/STOPPED ANYTHING!" and it's like
that's the president's job
she's the VP
open up the schools
NY Times interview, Vance was asked if his wife, Usha, had converted to Catholicism from her Hindu faith. He explained that she had not, but their family still attends church together. "No, she hasn't [converted]. That's why I feel bad about it. She's got three kids. Obviously, I help with the kids, but because I'm kind of the one going to church, she feels more responsibility to keep the kids quiet in the church."
"shes got three kids" not "we have three kids"?
wtf
huh.
Vance sucks
by definition
Smart doesn't equal that he likes them, he says they're smart because they're able to control so many people.
Now when I correct what Trump may be saying, he proceeds to double down on it and digs a deeper hole
Big problem with Trump, he says some of the hottest stuff but then instead of explaining his stance properly, he doubles down on that statement making it looks like he likes bad people
Both parties need a political reset after this election. RNC need to get rid of Trump, DNC need to get rid of Kamala cause this is another election where we gotta choose lesser of two evils again (in this case it's Kamala that is the lesser evil)
It just feels weird to have someone like Trump who has many qualities of a dictator and quite possibly wants to be a dictator. It feels really un-American looking at it now
So why bother correcting him
I wanna believe he's not as bad as people make him out to be (not that I support him, just cause I wanna be right)
I wanna be right with something about him but it's tough defending him as he digs a deeper and deeper hole
It's like, I dont want to assume someone is ignorant cause they voted Trump but I also think he said some things that make me think, "why are people voting him?"
The benefit of the doubt does not exist this far down the line
Yeah unfortunately 😪
When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth
I know many intelligent people whom side with Trump thinking if they're smart then Trump is the go to person but even the smartest people don't always make the smartest political decisions
I'll turn that around
If they support Trump, they're not intelligent. Full stop.
Intelligent might not be the right word there.
Intelligence doesn't mean altruistic.
Intelligence does not imply selflessness.
So when you see "intelligent" people siding with Trump, chances are those people are probably well-off already and also not in a racial minority.
Theres this youtuber named Amir Odom whos a black and gay youtuber whom is voting Trump and has explained his reasons. I dont necessarily agree with everything he says but he doesn't seem like he's doing it out of selfishness
I'll show a video of his real quick
In this video I’m going to give my reasons as to why Kamala Harris will not be receiving my vote as a black and gay man, and I’m going to make this as simple and efficient as possible.

He doesn't care if we vote Kamala either as long as you have your reasons
Sure I'm not voting for Trump but Amir is a pretty respectable dude overall.
I mean, Amir Odom wants to exclude himself from the lgbt community while still being gay and he's perfectly within his right to do so
but I'm 100% sure that this is a LeopardsAteMyFace situation waiting to happen because it always does
Cause from the outset, the current American conservative undercurrent is white nationalism, homophobia, and transphobia
He's not necessarily excluding himself from the LGBT, he just doesn't want to pander to the democrats and wants to have more free thinking rather than what the DNC spoon feeds their supporters on a daily
Granted I don't agree with him voting for Trump but I see why he's voting for Trump
I'm not sure on that situation so I dont know
LGBT and racial minorities that try to make themselves known in the conservative spaces are pretty much always eaten up and spat out by those spaces anyway because those places dont want them nor like them. Full stop.
Literally just look at how JD Vance talks about his wife.
Is his wife a democrat?
I mean, she's the wife of the Repulican vice presidential nominee and has defended JD on his (numerous extremely stupid) comments on this campaign trail
I'm going to hedge my bets and say she's a Republican
Whats strange is that even in my republican phase, I never had a problem with the LGBT. I still don't but I dont think every republican is like that. Just the intolerable shitty ones
Which is a problem, they gotta stop calling everything woke and create a platform of acceptance
"Every" is doing such an extreme level of heavy lifting here. When such a vast number of people are going to vote for someone which such dangerous rhetoric against those in marginalized groups
Did he ever do anything in is 1st term that legally discriminated against LGBT people?
or attempted to?
“In less than four years, the president, vice president, and their appointees have reversed decades of progress in LGBTQ health equity. As a result, LGBTQIA+ people have died, and countless others have needlessly suffered," said Sean Cahill, PhD, Director of Health Policy Research at The Fenway Institute.
And this was during his term as President.
Also, I'm extremely bothered how high the proof standard is for you
Like, i get it, it's a healthy amount of skepticism
but does it really have to be specific shit from his term? Not the rhetoric in the past 4 years? Not the overall moves by the party as a whole? Not the current goddamn campaign trail?
Not what's outlined in Project 2025? Like, I get it...you've been insulated by any and all discussion from the other side for so long that it just sounds unbelievable
but it's just extremely exhausting
https://www.vox.com/identities/2018/1/22/16905658/trump-lgbtq-anniversary
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_policy_of_Donald_Trump#LGBTQ_issues
From Trump’s ban on transgender military service to his failure to acknowledge Pride Month, his administration now has a long anti-LGBTQ record.
The social policy of the Donald Trump administration was generally socially conservative. As of 2016, Donald Trump described himself as pro-life with exceptions for rape, incest, and circumstances endangering the life of the mother. He said he was committed to appointing justices who may overturn the ruling in Roe v. Wade. Trump appointed three ...
After summarizing that, okay yeah definitely glad I didn't vote him
This is mostly because of the other side from afar telling me other things
Politics is too stressful 😪 I forget why I engage in it so much. I'm genuinely skeptical on both sides cause I'm getting a whole bunch of perspectives from other people from both sides that its difficult to simply believe strongly with political swifties (not that I dont believe you all, I just have a strong sense of skepticism with US politics as a whole)
Skepticism for all sides was healthy but then one side decided to jump the fucking shark in 2015.
Now, it's desperately trying to claw back normalcy. The Dems fucking suck ass, literally everyone agrees on that but the other side just gave the President unchecked power and the only reason there's still two parties is because Joe Biden is the president.
If Donald Trump was President when SCOTUS decided Trump v United States, I wouldn't be surprised if Democrats in Congress, SCOTUS, and The House would be wiped out.
I dont think it's that bad, I mean how our system is designed where I dont think every position is gonna get wiped and democracy will crumble. However yeah Trump's ideologies and policies I dont agree with so I'm voting against him. The DNC isn't gonna magically disappear if Trump wins though. There's still more registered democrats than Republicans in the world
Think of it like this
This is why voting in state and local elections are important too
There used to be guardrails and checks.
Are checks and balances not a thing anymore?
Effectively, no.
Again, this.
The liberal Justices of SCOTUS literally warned against the ramifications of the majority opinion of Trump v United States
Saying it was akin to giving the President absolute power as the standard for determining immunity was extremely low
Sotomayor expressed concerns that a president would be immune from prosecution in a number of hypothetical situations, such as in ordering assassinations of political rivals and taking bribes for pardons. She wrote that the ruling on presidential immunity was more expansive than the founders would have recognized.
Trump vs United States was a battle about Trump taking legal documents or something like that right?
No, this was about Jan 6
I dont think he tried ordering his members to go kill politicians
The classified documents case was dismissed by federal judge Aileen Cannon who was appointed by Trump and is now allegedly on the list of candidates for Attorney General if Trump wins so that's fun haha.
Okay
Let me explain
He had a rally near DC, told them to protest peacefully and then hell let loose
Granted he shouldn't have had the rally
Should've just taken the L
And again, most people would stand there at 9 o'clock in the evening and say I want to thank you very much, and they go off to some other life. But I said something's wrong here, something is really wrong, can have happened.
And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.
Trump, January 6th 2021
Fight who is the question, sounds like a motivation speech for the protest more than actually trying to get politicians killed
And mind you, the case was not decided on whether or not his actions were equivalent to inciting an insurrection. Let me be crystal clear about that.
That's not what they decided on
The case was decided whether or not has was allowed to do that as President.
To which the court decided in so many words that if you're officially carrying your duties as President, it is legal by definition.
To echo the words of Nixon decades ago "It's legal if you're President"
Theres definitely a grey area there for sure like, protesting outside of DC and then having it go too far and having it turn into an insurrection should have some fault on Trump for gassing them up
It was not properly put under control
The January 6th Select Committee found that the words “peacefully and patriotically” were drafted by Trump’s speechwriters – not Trump. Those two words were also completely at odds with the rest of Trump’s highly inflammatory remarks, during which he retold multiple lies about the election and directed the crowd’s anger at Vice President Pence and lawmakers. While Trump uttered the word “peacefully” just one time during his speech, which lasted more than an hour, he used variations of the word “fight” 20 times. That was Trump’s authentic voice. Though Trump knew the assembled crowd was “angry,” he ad-libbed the word “fight” on approximately 18 occasions. Trump also personally added multiple incendiary lines, including this one:
“We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
A report from ABC News provides additional details concerning what Special Counsel Jack Smith has learned about Trump’s behavior during the attack – including testimony concerning his reluctance to use the word “peaceful.” At 2:24 p.m., while the attack was well underway, Trump tweeted:
Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!
This is where Trump should be held accountable for sure. He didn't have a stable crowd so in this case he does take accountability for those actions
It seems like a legal grey area as well since he said do it "peacefully" but he also gassed up his supporters to get them angry
and we all do dumb stuff when we're angry of course
whoopsie im angy let me just let 5000 people into the capitol building which resulted in the deaths of 2 people and could've resulted in way more if they actually got what the wanted owo
Throwing Pence under the bus was a move that should've made many people lose respect for Trump but I guess not quite
Did it make you lose respect for him or did you have to wait 3 and a half years?
Nah after the 2020 election I lost respect for him, it was election fraud this, election fraud that
"STOP THE COUNT"
And when did you decide to swap your vote?
Well I knew I didn't want to vote Trump in 2024 after his actions in 2020 however I didn't want Biden again (thank goodness he dropped out)
I wanted RFK Jr (he backed Trump and doesn't want to be voted for so that was a hard no) but I had to stick with Kamala
I wish 3rd parties had a shot
You need to change your entire governmental structure for that to work
I mean, voting DNC or RNC just feels annoying af
So barring that, keep it to the primaries
Yeah I guess I'll try and vote a better democrat in the primaries
I've never done primary voting actually
Might need to do that the next time we get new candidate choices
I cant remember the video but there is one i’ve watched that kinda explains the phenomenon that is marginalized groups of people flocking to oppressive systems to prove the notion that “hey im not like that” in order to try and prevent themselves from being eradicated like how at the gop convention or was it called something called the conservative convention?? I cant remember but there was a drag queen who called themself lady maga and their whole poibt was “im not like those other drag queens who you claim sexualize children” meanwhile people who are passing them are giving mean looks/glares and calling them disgusting
“Free thinking”
I have a former friend who's trans that was kinda like that, unfortunately
He really wanted to distinguish himself. I guess maybe he thought right leaning stuff would help him feel more manly? Idk. But it's a real phenomenon
Republicans have spent like $65 million this year on anti-trans ads
They're using an entire group of people to attack people politically, and it's disgusting
I'm in Wisconsin right now and there's a lesbian senator Tammy Baldwin, who's running for reelection
Hovde is playing ads tying her to trans issues, making sure voters know she's gay like it matters, and honestly it's just sad
I hope this election the American people as a whole show that they're not buying this garbage. But I really don't know nowadays
i was kinda having the same thought yesterday like it's crazy how trump spews all this legit nonsense and this/that but he still has such a massive base etc
it's actually insane
like you compare a trump rally to a kamala rally
trump rally is just him rambling for nearly 2 hours saying shit like they're gonna take the cows this and that vs you look at a kamala rally
it's exciting it's got the crowds hyped you got michelle obama last night with an amazing speech
beyonce the other night
eminem
you got a concert at her rally i believe tomorrow with gracie abrams etc
and obviously rallies do not decide an election but it's just something i kinda picked up on / realized
The two parties are not the same.
Thats so revolting her sexuality should not matter to people in politics
TIM I DON’T WANT THE HOT DISH RECIPE
Proud of you my friend
I have a wild fucking question
I have some USD and it isn't my native currency. Right now the USD is particularly strong, it hasn't been this strong since June 2024 and prior to that Oct 2022. Do I wait until the election to exchange it or just do it now?
Ur voting stuff us open on sundays??
Ima just wait til monday when it opens at my library agaib
i would do it now because learn from the crypto bitcoin mistakes. capital is volatile
Do it now it will drop after election i promise
Its like with gas prices- all dem bitches lower it right before an election to make them seem better and then they go right back up after its over
gas prices work thru supply and demand not thru whatever the government want it to be
They started early voting here yesterday so it's now until I think next Saturday
Ah
The election machine for my county was all fancy I was like oh damn this is nice
Can it run Doom
Jfc watching tv and there is this ad that is a trump ad and its so fucking long and it makes it out to be like a movie ad!!!
Its so dramatic!!
jesus christ the speakers at the trump rally in nyc rn are just going full mask off racist rn
it's actually nuts
whats like happening don’t want to contribute views to anyone
i can link tweets to clips but
it's actually nuts
to give you an idea
Speaking before Trump at Madison Square Garden, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe says: “These Latinos love making babies, there’s no pulling out, they cum inside, just like they do to our country”
Calls Puerto Rico “floating garbage island”
Joke abt black people “carving watermelons”
I-
so here's a great sum up of it so far
So far the speakers at the Trump rally has been a disgusting racist who trashed Jews, Latinos and Black people, a drunk disbarred guy under indictment who just lost everything in a lawsuit, and an unhinged Christian nationalist who called Harris the antichrist.
it's a fun one alright
that picture from 1939 is so accurate right now..
As a Latino myself.. this fucking infuriates me.
absolutely fucking disgusting.
This guy just said the quiet part out loud and called it a "Nazi rally."
Me rn viewing all this shit ^
Women out performing the male vote in many areas right now in the early vote data. Im still predicting a Florida! flip and a possible sleeper flip in Illinois.
i used to be big into kill tony podcast but no more
Trump rally speaker on Americans who don’t support Trump: “We need to slaughter these people”
Brought back a Dreamcast classic.

No, Florida is definitely going to Trump
Its been on a solid right wing swing for the last 4 years
Yeah this rally did Trump no good
Not if i get you first IM IN UR CLOSET pAL OPEN UP
Jfc this just proves god is dead or has long abandon us if he was ever real to begin with 💀
I will actually leave this country if Kamala doesn’t win
Idk where I’ll go.. idk how but I’ll leave.
I’m NOT gonna be sitting like a duck living under dictatorship.
Same!
the Trump rally are you talking about?
yes
Yah, no surprised either
Its a straight up neo-nazi rally like wtf
So true, if Trump is elected…America is done for
Yeah, i will not be able to stomach an america where the leading party is spewing Nazi shit and is supported by actual Nazis
Same
This is why I want EVERYONE to vote. Don't stay home. Don't vote green party. Go and tell your friends, family, loved ones to VOTE
VOTE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
This election will DECIDE IF WE HAVE A DEMOCRACY OR A DICTATORSHIP
Chip into the HARRIS-WALZ campaign
I’m a democrat but for any of our fellow republicans unsure about Trump. VOTE FOR HARRIS WALZ 2024
Saw a sign online with:
‘I’m a Republican, but not a fool. Harris Walz 2024’ in red
Imagine voting for this
My friend was doing canvassing in a very red part of a Trump county in Wisconsin
Yesterday. He said he met some Republicans who are voting Harris. He also said it's the type of place you'd never see a Democrat. He spotted 5 Harris signs
I don't understand how people can tolerate a party that encourages such open symbols of hate.
I hope they all loose their job
Trump: I think with our little secret we are gonna do really well with the house, our little secret is having a big impact, he and I have a little secret, we will tell you what it is when the race is over
Is this real? Is this what people actually believe?
now that's just messed up
It's not necessarily the party, it's the members more or less. Sane republicans despise the white supremacists
Cope
It's not a cope though, the RNC is not all white supremacists
This is the same line of thinking preventing you from fully understanding the whole ACAB thing
????
Ambivalence to white supremacy is the same as advocating it
Nah nah nah I'm sorry I don't want to say all cops are bad cause it's a false statement 💀
You say it's not the party yet the party somehow doesn't immediately excommunicate those who spout this kind of rhetoric.
and assuming 74 million people are white supremacists is some crazy shit ngl
You forgot about the part where there's republicans that support Harris 😭
Now you're just gasping through straws to make every republican seem like they're some evil person
Hence, it's a cope. Wow...1% of the party doesn't support the party.
If they're still self-identifying as a Republican, they're identifying to a former version of it that no longer exists.
They want to go back and that's good.
Hopefully they do go back to that bygone era where everything was "fine"
but again
Every fucking tally come November 5th
is racist.
is a white supremacist.
is fascist.
And yes
