Hard question for me actually. Nothing immediately came to mind. I had to look through my favorite songs list. I’ll say Sweeter Than Fiction (Taylor's Version) Because, to me, it's about overcoming difficulty and living up to your potential or getting your dreams.

ā€œSeen you lost in a crowd, seen your colors fade
Wish I could make it better, someday, you won't remember
This pain you thought would last forever and ever andā€
I was closeted and repressed and in pain for so long as a transgender gay man that I relate to these lines in the following ways. I lost myself before I got to know my own colors because I had to suppress my real feelings. I was in a time and place where no one around me understood those issues and I couldn’t receive the medical help I needed even if I could have known what was wrong. So I was always depressed and never understood why and thought it would never end.

ā€œAnd, in this perfect weather, it's like we don't remember
The rain we thought would last forever and everā€
It’s not perfect weather in this country, sadly, but I live in a much better and safer state now. I have been able to undergo the medical transition steps I want, or soon will be able to. And sometimes I’ve already forgotten how horrible and hopeless everything felt.
Anyway, that’s how I interpret and relate to this song. I know it’s about something real and was for a film, but it’s not like I’m ever going to watch it.

I listen to The Archer because it helps me feel in general. I have grown accustomed to bottling up my emotions and thoughts because I didn’t feel they were valid, but her lyrics help me feel understood.

Honestly it rlly depends for me.

When I'm going through like a rough breakup or a hard moment in a relationship then ylm is always that one comfort song I can rely on. Everything about it is just relatable and I'm not purely talking about lyrics here I'm talking about the tone and the mood and the theme of the song. Ylm is just that one song you can't go wrong with yk it can even fit a situation that you might have with a friend or a hardship in the friendship. I just love the song sm bc of how many diff ways you can relate to it far beyond just it being for romance purposes.

Usually if I'm not feeling like listening to ylm then I'll usually listen to exile it's another wonderful and beautiful song by Taylor that just seems so unbeatable. It's relatable as well just like ylm and it has that sad tone that you'd be able to connect with when smth is wrong. This is me trying is also another comfort song although I don't listen to it a lot like exile or ylm it still hits pretty hard in the feelings whenever you listen to it and go "yep that's how I feel" considering folklore is my fav album it'd make sense that most of my comfort songs come from that album.

I'd say evermore, switching from "this pain would be for evermore" to "this pain wouldn't be for evermore" at the end is so healing and comforting
