dang picking only one huh okay.
wew
Going to go with LANY.
you ever dream of something with someone but you're feeling stuck for whatever reason and you're just staring at walls or the sky?
LANY is a whole mood just like that. whether it's admitting you didn't show someone the best side of you or you're reminiscing of a future with them, LANY makes bedroom pop just like that.
I recommend tracks like heart won't let me, Super Far, "the older you get, I less you cry", thick and thin
will probably be added on??
lizzy mcalpine!! saw her live twice and she is amazing!! I love the song same boat :) her songwriting always is personable and intimate! paramore live is chef's kiss and their this is why album is a great fusion of genres - i love running out of time, you first and liar! seeing paramore live really soldified the songs for me imo (like enhanced the music?? if that makes sense)
alsooo tiny habits has great harmonies i'm obsessed - here is a cover of savior complex which i adore https://open.spotify.com/track/4UFBFGtQEw8dz6BlyFe3is?si=be978ccc15504257
(and yes I have listed three ppl that i've seen/will see this month LMAO i am exposing myself)
i saw paramore last month at a festioal (with julia!!) and i'm seeing them again next month on their tour!
i've heard a bit of lizzy mcalpine and she's good, i have to listen to more!
aren't they so good live? š
yes!!
my next paramore show is the monday after two nights of tay š
š you'll be thriving but tired
i dont think i could pick just one other artist, but one of my favourites is dayglow! my favourite album by them is fuzzybrain and it's really nostalgic for me even though i only heard it a round a year and a half ago. i also like nf and joji
Fish in a birdcage. I really like their music and how they have a rule for each song. I love the cello in the songs and it just gives a new feel to production. When I get sick of listening to taylor swift over and over I listen to them because I get a new feel. really love them, u should listen. Here is my favorite song from them https://open.spotify.com/track/3CwIYemTONwWpSZwMAmlu7?si=b76e69b055d64220
Marina: shes really underated and I love all of her music! My favorite album by her is electra heart and my favorite song by her is oh no!
Lana del rey: I just started listening to her not long ago but I really like her songs! my favorite song by her so far are video games and young and beautiful, my favorite album by her so far is lust for life and born to die
Selena Gomez: my fav songs by Selena are people you know and hit the lights and my favorite albums by her are stars dance. I really like her songs and Iāve been listening to her for a long time
Olivia Rodrigo: She's really talented and she managed to propel her career in such a small amount of time. Can't wait for new song!
Thomas Headon. Literally someone who is very new to me but I just canāt get his music out of my him. Especially the song attached below. Thomasā soothing voice just does it for me. Heās very much adored by me now. Canāt wait for his other ep coming out at the end of June.

ooh i saw her last year! olivia good
she didnt come to aus :((
Oh my god I remember my LANY phaseš
Theyāre pretty good, esp during their earlier eras
Just in time for Speak Now TV, my favorite artist other than Taylor is Fall Out Boy!! Their lyrics are much more abstract than Taylor's, but they communicate intense emotions just as effectively. In the same vein, Patrick Stump (the lead singer) is really good at emoting using his voice so you can really hear the pain/desperation/etc. in certain songs. Maybe it's just me for this, but a lot of their songs also make me really nostalgic and like I can imagine scenes from my life as a music video to go with the song. My favorite six songs from them (because I couldn't narrow it down to just a top 5) are:
7 Minutes in Heaven
Thriller
Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
From Now On We Are Enemies
The Kids Aren't Alright
Wilson (Expensive Mistakes)
they have a new song out worth listening to and a new album soon
No cuz I to many to pick
UhhHH imma just list š Lorde bc she is amazing both musically but also an amazing person, Maisie peters bc she is just so cute and amazing Wallows bc their music is amazing and they are hot Claire rosinkranz bc we are the same age and sheās so nice and her music is so good and she deserves more fame OH ALSO SAMARA JOY her voice is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard she won the Grammy for new artist this year and her voice is just so velvety and relaxing
yesss maisie! I'm going to see her in September and I'm really excited for it!
Yasss I saw her last year and Iām seeing her in august and October
I love Ariana Grande! Her voice is angelic. Honeymoon Avenue is probably the best song sheās ever created. I hope to see her on tour one day. Also amazing to see her live her dream on Wicked
i don't even trust if you listen to 5sos and hates it
Well that's a hint for one of my favs, 5 Seconds of Summer! They make a pop rock genre music and I love them so much! Can't wait for the to come here
Cosmo Sheldrake and Jacob Collier. I'm gonna explain why maybe this will be long sorry for this. I pick those two because they are kind of underrated
Cosmo Sheldrake: I love his songs, in every song I felt he talked about a story, he gets his inspirations in nature and life and he can turn anything into a sound. In his last ep, he used oceanic sounds including animals and coral reefs sounds (yes I wrote correctly) basically marine life! before that, he used bird sounds(I fucking love this ep). I'm expecting his second album this year and waiting for curiously, which sounds I will hear. He is very interesting (honestly whole Sheldrake family is interesting) for making songs. He is kind of indie/alternative artist but you cannot put him in a general genre he is in his own genre and he is experimenting a lot with sounds. Please listen to him he is so underrated :D
Jacob Collier: One of the craziest musician in this world. He walks on the limit of the music theory and uses negative harmony in his songs(please check this negative harmony. If you don't understand don't worry.) Most of music reviewers and people think he is one of the prodigies of music theory. If you read about his life you will see he is one of the luckiest person ever. Also, he has got 5 Grammy awards mostly in arrangement. He made songs with big artists and helped them too. He has 4 album concept every one in a different genre currently waiting for the last and final one. Please listen to him too. He is kind of jazz musician
Honestly, i have got more fav songs from them but I pick two
My fav songs from them is
Cosmo Sheldrake (currently from his new ep): https://open.spotify.com/track/3LMep9CPBdSoBZIwXKeDU8?si=38ae4c6fa92e4143

Since 2010, Mahogany Sessions ha...
i would say phoebe bridgers or the band she's in with lucy dacus and julien baker called boygenius, both of these mean so much to me for so incredibly many reasons, scott street is such a comfort to me and so is most of punisher and sita, i adore them
i have a lot but iāll go with ariana grande because sheās helped me so much with her music during tough times and she is so so so talented. her album sweetener will always hold a special place in my heart
Currently my other favorite musicians are Orville Peck and Brandi Carlile. Iāve been listening to Brandi since about 2007. Both Orville and Brandiās music are very powerful with great lyrics. I love both their voices. I also really relate to them because they are gay, so they understand the struggles of that in this world but also the joy of it. Iāve definitely cried to both of their music when they touch on deep and heart wrenching topics. But Iāve also felt uplifted and comforted by their music.
Obsessed with Sadie jean recently, her music is just SO relatable and her VOICE is heaven, also really been loving Ingrid Andreas, one of the most underrated singers ever, YK her songs have this feeling, she sings with such a emotional connect, i love both of them sm
Sufjan Stevens is hands down my favorite. His lyricism and composition is so beautiful. He explodes a range of music from more indie folk acoustic to electronic, so youāre bound to find something you like. I highly recommended Carrie & Lowell, esp if you love folklore/evermore https://open.spotify.com/album/64xtjfsPHNHch0CZ7fPTjS?si=Qi2Ui3ZtQg6QcT13Y8Z68Q
Iām gonna go with..:
Bad Bunny.
Basically a hispanic artist fron Puerto Rico that does super cool reggeaton music, which gained huge popularity in 2021 for hit songs like āYonaguniā or āLo Siento BB :/ā.
The production on his music is so.. explosive and amazing! Its fun enough that youāll just want more. And most of the time, he tells fun stories throughout the verses or touches important themes like going to war and such lightly.
I just love him and his music, what he does and why he does it. He isnāt like other reggeae artista who just do it for the clout and money, but actually cares on what he makes.
Thatās it!! Love him so much šš
I love brandi carlile!!!
taste! Yeah, My dad was the one who introduced me to her
iāll have to go with lana del rey, i was a huge fan of her even before taylor and lana collaborated. her voice is so amazing especially in her newest album imo. i just love her music and her as an artist so much š«¶š¼š
taste
I thought about that question the entire day bc I have so many faves, but I'm going with Lady Gaga since she's the OG along with Taylor (I became a fan of both around the same time, in 2009)
I mean, Gaga is surely a known artist here but wow, her unique style, her art as performance artist while she's Gaga and the amazing pop songs really shaped my early teens (along with Taylor)
And I'm so proud to see her getting out of her pop artist box and exploring other musical genres, to see her as an actress and winning an Oscar, to see her kindness in general and someone I relate so much with
She's one of my mothers (along with Taylor) basically, I just feel cozy and embraced by her art
Side note: I still dream of a collab between Gaga and Taylor, there's a strong potential of a hit coming out of it... Both are amazing singers and songwriters, a pop rock collab would be a dream
I'm actually Taylor Swift fan. I'm actually a metalhead, but I guess this question still technically applies to me: I really love Tool, Lucid Planet and the Callous Daoboys. These other two aren't metal, but I still absolutely love them, being Primus and Failure. I used to listen to a lot of Slipknot, but I've kind of fallen out of interest. I've found that my favorite genres are, in order from most to least favorite: Prog Metal, Mathcore, Romantic Era Classical, Fuzz Rock, Slude Rock, Nu Metal, Stoner Rock, Baroque Era Classical and a little bit of Reggae.
Oh, and the reason why I'm in the Taylor Swift fan Discord is because I thought it was funny.
I have tons of fav artists other than Taylor. Pink Floyd, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Bob Dylan, Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Bowie, Linkin Park, Nirvana, The Byrds, The Beatles and I could go on and on but if i had to choose one, i would pick Pink Floyd without a doubt. Their music feels like home, they don't have a single bad song (||seamus|| but i like it now). My day feels incomplete without listening to them and they are my everything at this point.
if u asked me this question like a month ago it would be very different than what im saying rn but oh well
recently ive been very obsessed with lana del rey š her voice is really unique and her songs are such a different vibe and so soothing to listen to. i just loveeee her production on each song and the harmonies and falsetto are to die for.
other than that i would say conan gray
his lyricism and voice is next levelll i lovee him so much even as a person. his discography is so well put together sometimes ill be bored and just listen to his whole discography š (ik im insane)
anddd i loooove ariana grande positions (the album) so muchhh
also miley cyrus. even though im not the biggest fan of the recent album few of the songs from endless summer vacation i really enjoy but my favorite has to be plastic hearts omg i just love everything about that album it is amaaazing
||my indecisiveness showing so well š||
My Chemical Romance. Yes I know, very emo of me to say. But all jokes aside, MCR isnāt just for emos. They do mostly lean towards rock/punk music, but thereās probably a song or two that you can relate to or at the very least vibe to. I love how their albums have a storyline of their own that you can follow throughout the songs, and how well they can convey the emotions of the characters through their music. My favorite album from them is The Black Parade, although storyline-wise my favorite is Danger Days. Their discography encompasses a lot of emotions, whether you want to cry (my personal choices are The Ghost of You, Cancer, Early Sunset Over Monroeville, and The Kids From Yesterday) or want to Kill All Your Friends (pun intended, this is an actual song by them) Iām sure youāll find a song you can listen to.
And even if you donāt, maybe you can find something from one of the band memberās solo projects
lana del rey, phoebe bridgers, lorde, etc
