Okay so my favorite store to buy clothes posted a spoiler of their new collection (it will be released around mid September), and I got SO excited with this look
It's gonna be comfy, and with the right accessories it can be an amazing rep style outfit... I already have the combat boots and snake rings to pair it up

And I'm someone who gets hot easily, not exactly sweating (I barely sweat, and I feel this is an issue) but with my cheeks/face getting neon red and burning hot lmao
You can find me wearing only a shirt and shorts in the cold (at least Brazilian cold lmao), so I kinda discarded some outfits I had in mind bc of this... Probably it'll be at least 30 degrees Celsius around that time

I dress modestly for religious reasons, so I understand conflicts with shorter things :)) Idk if it would help the situation any, but finding some light leggings or tights might make your parents more comfortable with the dress? I've seen some sheer black/fishnet tights that might go well with your outfit...couldn't name any brands though. I got a shorter skirt a few months ago and I had some athletic, mid-thigh shorts that I wear with it so that might be an option as well!

I actually loved the idea of tights, tysm for the idea Like, I'll already wear biker shorts (around the same length as the dress) underneath bc I have thick tights and those shorts are perfect to avoid any contact dermatitis over there (I learned it the hard way when I was younger 🥲), I wear it even underneath long dresses bc of that

If you want to go more comfy, a TS themed shirt (Eras or otherwise) paired w jeans and a cowboy hat would be simple and fun! You could add some extra bling to those if you wanted too
I've seen other people go with TS themed jean jackets where they paint/embroider/iron on patches referencing songs and albums they love.
Cottagecore dresses would be nice if you want a folkmore vibe.
You could also go for replicating some of Taylor's more casual looks in mvs (WANEGBT shirt, Anti Hero 70s fits).
Hope that gives you a few ideas! I'd love to brainstorm w you if you're wanting to represent a particular song/era
