Autistic here. So earplugs are basically a must for everyone. Otherwise you can have serious hearing damage. It is beyond loud. Which means if you're extra sensitive for any reason, I recommend over-ear noise cancelling headphones that go OVER your ear plugs in case you need them. CHECK YOUR STADIUM POLICY ON ELECTRONICS. Otherwise maybe ear muffs??? Idk. But i think a lot of the sensitivity for most people is feeling helpless, so having options is good even if you don't end up using them.

I didn't bring noise cancelling headphones to my show, only small, well-fitting ear plugs, bc i wasnt diagnosed yet and was still solidly in my gaslighting-myself-into-thinking-if-i-just-try-harder-my-nervous-system-will-simply-cooperate era. I ended up being fine, but there were unpleasant moments.

Specifically when I removed my earplugs for certain songs/moments that weren't as loud and had heavy emotional impact, and then bam, shortly afterward it went loud again before I could get my earplugs fitted securely.

Mild spoiler with more specific warning on that: ||examples are between acoustic/folk parts and suddenly going into poppy, heavy-production parts. Owwie.||
HEAVY setlist/format spoiler for the same topic: ||like after both the evermore and folklore sections it goes into reputation and 1989 respectively, both loud albums, both high production and high energy, and that was not very nice to be surprised by||

All in all I didn't have problems because I kinda knew what was coming ahead of time and was so friggin hype about taylor and could freely jump around like a loon sans social expulsion. Not everyone would be ok in that same scenario. I hope you have a good show. Unfortunately there's no reentry at most venues so it's unlikely you'll be able to leave and catch a breather.

Oh, you know, sitting in my chair on the floor sections was surprisingly calm. Surrounded by standing people, kinda insulated. I didn't sit much but if I had it would have been a good 30% reduction in overwhelm. Don't be shy. Do what you need to to enjoy your show.

I didn't leave to go into halls for bathroom/drink breaks, but at other events I've attended in stadiums, it was Significantly quieter in hallways. You if you need noise reduction in fast, you can try that without leaving the whole building and being banned from reentry. Find a bathroom. Sit in a stall. Whatever you need to do

heard the news about the added dates this morning. really wish they add one more nashville date to round out the tour. plus i can wait until next year to see if i can get a floor seat or so
