reputation Happy 5 years of reputation!! (day 41)

Can you believe that reputation is 5 years old today? Hell, I remember being here on this server and the subreddit the night the album came out. It was hectic. Time flies! Anyway, at this point you probably know the drill by now. Go to the thread created for this and post your thoughts about the album, its era, or its tour. Is there a lyric that means so much to you? Is this the album that made you a Swiftie? Did you have a wonderful time on tour? Were you HYPE when Taylor deleted her social media posts? Did you watch Taylor eat cookie dough over 200 times? What are you most excited for in Taylor's Version? Tell us about it! As usual, aim for 50+ words.

reputation OH SHIII. BIG REPUTATION! reputation

Reputation is still an album I need to get into as I only play/like/listen to 5 songs. Reputation was probably the only album from Rep to evermore that I was very hype for to drop because of the blackout. Now since its 5 years. Taylor can now officially re-record everything and have all her catalog as her own. VIBE
To me the whole NYD lyrics are just very special and mean a lot to me based on the soothing ballot it is and the piano accompany the track comes with.
With TV coming around soon. I will be super excited for Rep (TV). catvibe

Reputation was the album that made me a Swiftie. This era was when I was starting to be more involved online, so it was also my first exposure to the online fan community (including this server), and I have a ton of memories from this time. I remember when “Look What You Made Me Do” was released and what event that was, including watching the video premiere during the VMA’s. I remember keeping up with the tour and seeing all the picture of people having a great time there (Wish I could’ve gone but she didn’t come to Vancouver, lol). And then watching the Rep Tour movie on Netflix when it premiered with everyone in the Discord was a great cap-off to that era. This is the album I’m probably the most excited to hear re-recorded, and I can’t wait to see what she’ll eventually have in store for that. Happy five years of Reputation! reputation

reputation REPUTATION DAY WOOOO

I remember being so hyped for this album, I listened to it so much! Me and my mom would non-stop listen to LWYMMD in the car. I’m so glad she can finally own this album and I can’t wait to hear the vault tracks because I know they’re going to be amazing. My favourites are probably Don’t Blame Me, …Ready For It, LWYMMD, TIWWCHNT, Gorgeous, Dress and Getaway Car. Happy 5 years of Reputation!

Reputation is my favorite Taylor album for two major reasons: it’s full of bops and bangers, and it’s thematically cohesive. Pretty much every song after the other is something I could jam along or scream along to. Getaway Car is one of my favorite songs of all time and the song that lead me down the road to becoming a full-on Swiftie. King of My Heart is a close second and Call It What You Want is a close third. I love how every song ties into her reputation in some way, whether it’s embodying and embracing the reputation of her media caricature, or her true self finding real love in the midst of the media chaos that resulted from the downfall of her reputation. The story of Taylor finding real love and being at her happiest under the facade of dark and edgy imagery is a concept I love. To me, reputation is like a huge storm of chaos representing the media and every negative aspect of her fame being used against her. In the eye of the storm, however, is a sturdy cabin that’s protected against the media chaos. This cabin represents the solace in finding real love and valuing true friendships. New Year’s Day is the morning after the storm, when those who really matter are the ones who stuck by during the storm and helped you clean up afterwards. Ready For It…? is such a bombastic opener that brings you into this whirlwind but we exit quietly and peacefully.

Alright. It’s finally time to talk about my favourite album in the history of albums and music, reputation. It was such a watershed moment, especially for Taylor, where she came to terms with who she was and finally realised she didn’t need to act for the public. There’s so many damn good songs on this album. Firstly, the best lead single LWYMMD was so iconic, had such a great music video and was what she needed. Then we have the banger collaboration that is End Game, with three stellar parts from all the participants and the iconic line “I swear I don’t love the drama, it loves ME HEE HEE”! I also love Getaway Car, what a great chorus to scream to, and I especially love the iconic video of Tay writing the bridge in 1 minute! Next let’s talk about IDSB, so fun to dance to, and it has the best performance design from Rep tour (if a man talk shit then I owe him nothing). There’s also my holy trinity of reps emotional songs: DWOHT, SIG and CIWYW, they’re all so good especially when you immerse yourself in the song. I want to drop some extra appreciation for DONT BLAME ME, I’m so glad it’s finally being appreciated as it deserves, because it makes your soul leave your body “I GET SO HIGH OH!” And lastly, possibly my favourite song on reputation, TIWWCHNT. I know some don’t really like it, but it’s such a good song for closure and moving on, especially the bridge (real friends/baby/mama/you HAHAHAHA) I JUST LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MCUH AND I HOPE REPTV COMES SOON BECAUSE I HATE THAT IM STREAMING THE OG SO MUCH. Ok yeah and I hope I get tix to Eras Tour so I get to hear some of these live. (Manifesting 🙏 )

Being my favourite album, I've already talked about rep to great lengths in the past anniversaries so I'm just going to talk about the TV since she can now record it tayrelieved

I remember before Taylor announced that she would re-record her first 6 albums, I always used to say that I needed more rep songs in my life. So when the future existence of reputation (Taylor’s Version) with vault tracks was confirmed I completely freaked out. reputation is so incredibly crafted so I'm immeasurably excited to be able to listen to tracks that didn't make the album and to experience the era yet again.

In regards to the re-recorded songs, I don't expect them to beat the originals in ANY way since the album is already perfect and I wouldn't change a thing so it's the vaults I'm excited for. I'm not sure what I want from them but honestly I don't care because I know they'll be great. I'm not expecting them to be as good as the tracks on the album but it'll be awesome to have more songs with similar vibes. I hope there are minimal collabs since I believe Tay mostly works best on her own and I hope that the vaults really add to the story that rep tells so well. More songs like don't blame me with incredible power and atmosphere or like I did something bad which is so iconic or like dancing with our hands tied which has masterful production would be great. Also Tay I beg you, please have more than 6 vaults in the album.

Happy 5th birthday to rep, the album which made me a Swiftie and which is forever my fave tayadmire reputation

My favorite song from Reputation is This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, which I think is probably an unpopular opinion haha. I didn't get to see the tour in person, but I have watched the Netflix recording of it three or four times now? and the performance of TIWWCHNT is seriously my favorite part, with how it's mixed with WANEGBT, like you could easily sing WANEGBT over the mix even when Taylor and the singers aren't actually singing it! and even better, the way they play it out during the curtain call is sooooo perfect! my favorite Taylor songs in general seem to be the exciting, danceable ones, so that's probably why (another unpopular opinion: WANEGBT is my favorite track on Red, with Holy Ground in close second) I also really like some of the slower songs on Rep too though, especially Call It What You Want and New Year's Day. Also I am a huge fan of I Did Something Bad, it gets me so hyped! Can't wait for rep tv and vault tracks!!!

happy anniversary to reputation! this is the first album that i actually can properly remember the release of and it was probably around this era that i became a proper taylor fan. i was lucky enough to go to rep tour and that was my first proper concert, so it was pretty special. some of my favourite songs from the album are don't blame me, i did something bad, getaway car and call it what you want. happy anniversary tayhandheart reputation

happy birthday reputation!! it’s a album that helps you feel your feelings in a healthy way. there are love songs that are beautiful and my fav on it is call it what you want- I think it’s a really underrated song that is often overlooked. i would associate reputation with the hogwarts house slytherin: often people think of them negatively and that they are “mad” but really they’re just ambitious for their values reputation

Happy birthday to my favorite album! Reputation is like literally my favorite album of all time no skips and it’s crazy that it’s been 5 years already. I remember when lwymmd first came out and I was so excited for the album, but anyways here are my top 5s

Reputation is an album that I really liked. I liked So It Goes..., Delicate and New Year's Day. These are my favourites of my album, but even the songs that are lower in my ranking on Reputation are really good. I did not attend the tour, but the tour seemed like a fun experience. In conclusion, the album is great and even if I was not here for the era, it definitly seemed great!

Ah for me this day is nostalgic. 5 years ago I became a Swiftie and it was in November.
I listening to 1989 (still not Swiftie) and then rep came out I was like ok let's see how this goes and after listening to gorgeous, KOMH , CIWTW , delicate I was absolutely mesmerised !!!
I couldn't even fathom the album after listening it over and over again.
From then I just couldn't imagine music Without Taylor. reputation

reputation is definitely different from the other albums with more of a rock vibe. some of my favourites on the album include getaway car, new years day, and lwymmd. the context around the album is rlly interesting with the kanye stuff and im glad that it at least led to this. happy anniversary reputation reputation

Reputation. I remember watching the music video of lwymmd as soon as it came out. Reputation is that one album that you can put on anywhere anytime and i will video it even if I'm the the middle of a breakdown. My favorite songs from Reputation are So it goes... , ...Ready for it? , Call it what you want, I did something bad, dress and i could go on and on listing all of them as my favourite. Reputation doesn't deserve all the slander it gets, while it may not her best album, it's always going to me one of my favourites

What to say about Reputation? Firstly, my big hot take: LWYMMD was the right song for the lead single, with the big tonal shift and the accompanying video. Overall I really enjoy reputation more than I did earlier in my listening. My favorite song is Gorgeous because of the wildness of the lyrics and THE DROP. This is Taylor’s best drop and you can’t convince me otherwise. My favorite part of the era was her SNL appearance. Not only were her performances good, but the episode as a whole was one of the best ever. So that’s reputation and the Rep era for me. Really excited to hear Rep TV when it comes out!

Ahh, reputation. To be honest, at some point of time (after about 2 months of me becoming a Swiftie) it was my favourite album. I loved the upbeat music and the high notes in DBM were chef's kiss I am telling you. LWYMMD and RFI M/V's were too good.

While Reputation is not necessarily my fav album (sorry beast) I cannot deny that it was absolutely iconic and one of her best eras. This album has sooo many bops and definitely some of her best songs. Some of my favourites from this album are: Call it what you want, don't blame me, dancing with our hands tied, king of my heart and new year's day!

Reputation is such a great album. I remember listening to it for the first time. I was so happy that day. I wish I could go to the rep tour but to be honest I’m still glad that we have the concert on Netflix. I think I’m emotionally attached to New Year’s Day and the mashup that she did with NYD and Long live , they’re just so good and both of them are my fav songs tayhands

Reputation has been an album that has just continually grows on me. Every time I listen to it, a song that I maybe didn’t seem as the strongest before comes out on top as one of my favorites. I’m so glad we got the tour release as it just elevates the quality and meaning of the songs. Taylor looks so happy to be performing and performing these songs in particular. New Year’s Day will always be my favorite, even if it’s a complete departure sound wise from the rest of the album. Call It What You Wants has only grown higher and higher in my list as one of my favorites.

It’s been a while since I’ve fully listened to Reputation but I really still do love the album. The tour was insanely good - I went to both nights in Dublin (managed to get the second nights tickets for free which was even better). Remembering the rep tour makes me so excited to see Taylor again because she put on the most amazing show!

Reputation is one of my fav album as well as the first album i heard as a whole(not just for taylor). My fav in the beginning was So it goes..., and it was so much slept on when rep released. Dress, DBM, DWOHT, Getaway Car, KOMH, i love allllll of the songs on reputation!!!!! My current fav id say is, KOMH and DBM. Its the church feeling, the harmonies, the vocals, the humming in DBM that just makes it so surreal deaded. My fav lyric would be from IDSB "If a man talks shit then i owe em nothing" and even the 123 lessgo bitch from the tour videos!!!. i really wanted to attend rep tour so much the videos the experiences just look so amazingggg!
A thing which made me cry was when she performed new years day to jimmy fallon and someone close to him had passed away and he cried.. it was such an emotional feeling. nyd is not my fav song on rep but that video made me respect it far far more

Confession time, I hated rep when it was released for the most stupid reasons. I wasn't that active on social media and stuff, so I had absolutely no idea about the blackout, insta purge and all.. and well.. rep caught me off guard taymonkas I remember watching lwymmd mv, i was so confused, like wtf is happening.
although a few months later I caught up with all the drama, and gave rep a chance again, and well, it blew me away reputation🛐 love most of the songs now, Dress and New Year's Day being my favorite.. also I DID SOMETHING BAD and DON'T BLAME ME are the prefect songs for a stadium tour, I wish I get to listen them live someday 😔🤞
Since I was too stupid to actually enjoy the og era, I am looking forward to Rep TV the most

Reputation tour was one of the best experiences in my entire life and after the tour I got a whole new appreciation for the whole album. The whole album brings back so many memories which makes it such a good album to me! I met a bunch of people from this discord on the tour and it was so fun!

My favorite songs from the album are probably call it what you want and I did something bad 😈

I have a story. I got to go to the REP tour because i won the tickets on the radio. When the tour merch dropped on her website i decided id get my shirt early so i could wear it to the show. I noticed that alot if the merch had snakes on it. (Fear of snakes) so i did a little bit of research so id know what to expect so i knew that durring look what you made me do the big snake balloon would come up. At the beginning of the song i was sitting i was balling my eyes out(the whole concert) and shaking and didn't want to look. But then something clicked and i wasnt gonna let anything ruin my night (was sat next to a drunk couple) and i held onto my friend and stood up just as the big snake balloon turned towards us. Later on when the other 2 smaller ones came up i was fine i had no reaction. Later on she was talking to the crowd about facing your fears and here i am ina sea full of people and i felt like she was speaking directly to me. That year was a horrible horrible year for me lost 5 people and a cat. But that concert was the highlight of that entire year having that concert to look forward to made a huge difference for me ina year that took so much away from me. Because of taylor i was able to get over that fear of snakes and actually pet a boa the following year

REPUTATION IS LITERALLY MY BABY!!! i remember hearing lwymmd in the mall and screaming because that was the first time i heard taylor in public. this album has got me through lots of trauma and happiness in my life. i love it so much, my favorite songs on reputation are delicate new years day and i did something bad. my favorite lyric is “they’re burning all the witches even if you’re not one” because i’ve felt that before being blamed for something you haven’t done. I’m very excited for the taylor’s version and the new rep era to begin. HAPPY BIRTHDAY REPUTATION, THANK U FOR BEING MY FAVORITE ALBUM reputation

Confession time: when Taylor Swift was first starting out, I had heard a few of her songs on the radio, but I was not a big country fan. I remember her career really taking off after Red and then even more after 1989, but I still only ever listened to the radio hits.

I was not fully on one side or the other for all the Taylor/Kayne/Kim drama, because I, at the point, did not like Taylor Swift at all and I loathed Kayne and Kim. I hated LWYMMD and would go out of my way to avoid reputation when it came out because I did not want to be sucked into the fandom, drama, etc. It wasn't until almost a year or two later that my mom told me to listen to the album. When I did.... HOLY F**K. It blew my mind! I was fully invested at that point and took a deep dive into all the drama, theories, etc.

I wish I could go back and kick my younger self in the butt because I wish I had been apart of the fandom when this album came out. To enjoy (torturously) the social media purges, the theories, and the rep era in general. I regret it almost everyday because the reputation tour, from the Netflix special, just looked like such a blast! New Year's Day, Gorgeous, Dress, and KOMH are my favorites off the album, but the WHOLE album is my absolute favorite. I miss listening to the album because I never got a copy of it and I refuse to give them my money or streams, though I might buy a used copy. I CANNOT wait until reputation TV comes out so I can listen to them album again and enjoy it with the rest of the Swifties. reputation

Reputation is special to me because it is my favorite album. I love how she sang it at the tour, there was so much energy in it. I also think that the rep merch was the best out of all the merch. My favorites are getaway car, ready for it, and delicate but I love every song in the album (kind of rare for me).

Reputation 🐐 Rep and 1989 keep playing my favourites time to time. Don't Blame Me and Delicate probably my alltime favourite songs as well. I've said it before, I love goofy Taylor. Delicate mv is my favourite!! The deleting of posts on social media was a different experience. Felt like living through history being made. Would've loved to go on rep tour just like any other tours. But I guess rep tour on Netflix will have to do for now. Can't wait for the TV to bring more rep in my life!

reputation is definitely one of my favorite albums, it was definitely an iconic era overall... It's my favorite era in terms of visuals btayadmire I vividly remember seeing the LWYMMD MV premiere on 2017 VMAs and then watching it non-stop bc the visuals, the song, the narrative were everything to me, it surely was one of the albums I was waiting for the most btayadmire I wish I was able to go on rep tour but unfortunately she didn't went here 😔
And I love the album so much, especially the romantic songs... Like, her relationship with Joe started just like a flower blooming in hostile conditions, and I can 100% relate to that bc my current relationship... It's beautiful, it's delicate 🥹
My top 5 from reputation is:
1- King Of My Heart
2- Dress
3- Call It What You Want
4- Getaway Car
5- New Year's Day tied with So It Goes...
I really love that album so much and I can't wait for rep TV, I'm so excited for the vault tracks and to live the rep era over again, but now in way better conditions, in a time where Taylor is cherished and loved again (rep era was really hard for both her and for us tbh) btayadmire

When this album came out, I had just gone out of a relationship, a very toxic one, and I remember loving the lyrics of look what you made me do. But still, the whole album was such a bop, banger after banger. I listened to it all day every day. Even when I needed to study for my exams and stuff, I studied with reputation in the background. When she deleted all her posts from social media I was like wtf is happening, I didn’t understand. Then she brought the snakes and stuff (and I hate snakes, im so afraid of them) so I was kinda scared of what she had planned. I remember I wanted to get tickets but when I entered the sale , it went sold out 💀💀💀 so I couldn’t get to see her on tour, I still don’t forgive myself, because that’s my favorite tour so far (I’ve seen all of them in recordings). Lately, I’ve been liking more and more call it what you want, maybe cause I’m feeling that way tayadmire 🫶🏼 but the whole album is a 10/10, even so it goes, which she stole from us on the reputation stadium tour film.

𝖗𝖊𝖕𝖚𝖙𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓 is her best album ||(like her any albums)||
It has no skip and the tracklist is perfect. It begins very clever with ready for it which is my fav track#1. The tour is huge. It is the first time i cry watching tour movie. I wish i have a chance to watch concert with this standard.
The concept is awesome. I like the newsprint style and her in bw. My favorite track from this album is king of my heart, new years day, dress, so it goes, dancing with our hands tied, ready for it?, and don't blame me. Also i wish we get getaway car mv when she drops the rerecording version. Slay reputation reputation

I feel Rep had the best era, best production, best merch, best album cover, best tour and best album opener and album closer 🤌 It's also my favourite taylor album (tied with Folklore ofc). Rep was also the start of happy taylor era mb 🥺 I love all the songs on this album and i've never been able to choose a favourite. My current favourite tho is probably King of my Heart. I'm so glad that 5 years of Rep also means she'll now be able to re-record the album and i can't wait to hear the TV and vault tracks! taycotuesday

reputation is the best album to ever exist (no one fights me on this 🔫) When I was first getting into Taylor's music, the rep tracks stood out to me the most. It's one album where I can listen to all songs and it has no skips tayrelieved In my opinion, it is probably my favourite since it's such a cohesive album. All tracks blend into each other well and overall it gives us an amazing storyline and portrays exactly how Taylor felt during some of the darkest moments of her life. The production of each and every song is amazing and this album is filled with masterpieces. My favourites from rep are Don't Blame Me, Call It What You Want and Dress (and every other song ngl 😭) The rep tour was phenomenal and I don't think any other tour would be as iconic. Her vocals during the live performances were just chefs kiss and the slight changes she made whilst singing all songs just made them sound even better. I can't wait for rep tv, mainly for the vaults and just hoping that it's half as good as the og (highly unlikely) Happy 5th anniversary rep and omg she can finally rerecord it!! tayadmire reputation taypleading

Happy Birthday Reputation!!!

First thing that comes to mind with this album is how massive it was during Tay's comeback era. It was her taking her reputation into her hands and into her life away from the prying thoughts of the media. And that is why it will always be special to me and to other swifties, even those who don't like it. Because it has such a culture around it, to many it was a thing of that time which they don't really resonate with anymore. But it will always be special to me.

Rep spoke of some of Tay's darkest thoughts and experiences, yet it was also a very sensual album filled with desire, longing and love. It is very much poppy and slightly edm but that's probably why I like it so much. My favourite songs are probably "Getaway Car", "Delicate", "CIWYW" and "Don't Blame Me". I really wish I could've seen that tour and experienced some of those songs live.

Glad you got yourself back Tay with this album, and now maybe you can own it again!

Reputation was the era I went from a casual fan to a stan. I found it a little sad her world was turned upside down in 2016. This album will always be special to me since I went to reputation stadium tour! It was goated! It was my first Taylor concert. I had floor seats and it was the best experience ever! I still have the confetti from tour. Hearing Blank Space LIVE was incredible. hold on to the memories and they will hold on to you

Reputation is my second favorite album because I fully became a massive ass taylor swift fan during rep era. I still remember watching her interview with Jimmy Fallon and watching her perform New Year’s Day live for the first time ever, that was so so special. I cannot believe it’s been 5 years since it’s been released and I’m so emotional. I’ve grown so much and her music from Rep just really hits different… Call It What You Want, King Of My Heart, Delicate, and her live version of Dancing With Our Hands Tied… I love Reputation so much!! I remember seeing my swiftie friends’ reaction when rep dropped, and even though I wasn’t a swiftie then, I thought the album cover was absolutely iconic, and LWYMMD even more iconic. Used to watch the mv like every day because it was SO COOL! Call it what you want was my favourite song for a good year, I’m still very emotionally attached to it, but recently my favourites have been getaway car or dancing with our hands tied. Can’t wait to see what Taylor’s Version has in store, especially after listening to Vigilante Shit taytea2

STAN ALBUM !!!!! did not expect to love rep as much as i did considering i was lowkey a hater at the time and i just despised lwymmd and the "toxic" songs (still dont favour them) but underneath that image is the most fragile (delicate) vulnerable writing ever, that sense of uncertainty coupled with an overriding faith and excitement to finally start something new and real. dress was the biggest shocker to me yet its my rep stan song now, that secrecy and aaaaaaaaa!!!!! holy fournity of D - dress, delicate, dont blame me, dwoht.... she was doing the most and the rep tour netflix!!!!!! really felt so homey despite the huge crowd and the big visuals, i could still feel taylors heart coming through, always checking on us, communicating that she sees us and we're not alone, absolutely sold me on staying loyal
