Today's Activity (day 38)

Each year so far, lorpoint season has been around the same time of the year, and we have traditionally done activities that involve writing about the albums on their anniversaries. Taylor loves releasing albums during October or November, but the albums that were released outside of these months deserve some love too. In today's thread (), let's show some love for these albums. Please write a thoughtful post about one of these albums, the songs, your favorite lyric(s) from the album, or your experiences being a Swiftie throughout the era! I'd also include tour experiences in the prompt, but... taylor hasn't toured these albums. As usual, aim for 50+ words.

Albums not released in Oct/Nov: Lover, Folklore, Evermore (Fearless TV too, but we included it when we wrote about Fearless)
Albums released in Oct/Nov: Debut, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, reputation, Red TV, and Midnights. She loves this time of year lmao

what a great activity! Its time to talk about the album that got me into Taylor, Lover. I became a stan because of ME! because its a really fun MV and song, no one can tell me otherwise. YNTCD also really spoke to me and gave me the confidence to be who I was. My two faves on the album are: Cruel Summer, it's just so good, a ride from start to finish (jack antonoff 🙏) Favorite line on it? I LOVE YOU AIN THAT THE WORST THING YOU EVER HEARD (HE LOOKS UP GRINNIG LIKE A DEVIL), What a great line to scream to. My other fave is MA&THP, i love the use of high school as an allegory for politics, sufh as the integration of GO! FIGHT! WIN! In the chorus. My davouritr line on this song is "they whisper in the hallway shes a bad bad girl" because of the way she sings it in the last chorus. Lastly neither of these have been performed live :sadcat: so I wanted to appreciate Live From Paris, especially corn, DBATCand Daylight (the goosebumps when the crowd screams but its golden!) My hope is that I get tickets for the Eras tour to at least hear some sonts from this album live 😄

Folklore came out right at the perfect time for me. It was a few months into the pandemic and things were not looking good. I was starting to lose hope that the world would get better, and then here comes Taylor with the perfect album I needed to escape from the hell around me. I listened to this album almost every day through the rest of the summer and watching its insane success gave me something to be happy about in those desperate times. This album will always hold a special place in my heart because it got me through some rough times.

Loverrrrrrrrrr is the album that got me into Taylor Swift. Absolute banger of an album. Personal favourites include: Cruel Summer, Lover, The Archer, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Paper Rings, Cornelia Street, Death By A Thousand Cuts. My, my, my, my, this album has so much great stuff I could talk about. My favourite lyrics include, "I ask the traffic lights if it'll be alright, they say 'I don't know' ", "'Cause all of my enemies started out friends", "You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes". DBATC live is absolutely phenomenal, it's blue, the feeling I've got. I love my ✨ shiny ✨ things, (which you get with tours), and although Lover hasn't had this, I still adore this album. Lover is such a sweet album of the highs of love and relationships that work out, betrayals and pain expressed through heartbreakingly lovely lyrics. It has its fun upbeat songs (Cruel Summer, Paper Rings, You Need To Calm Down, ME!), lovey-dovey songs (Lover, I Think He Knows, London Boy), and your standard Taylor Swift superb lyrics multi-faceted interpretation meaning story songs (The Archer, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Death By A Thousand Cuts), and of course, songs that explore more mature topics and themes (The Man, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince). Many more I have probably missed and I know they'll probably whisper she's a bad, bad girl now, but I promise you'll never find another like ME!

In July 2020, Taylor announced her first ever surprise album, folklore, just 16 hours before release. It went on to break Spotify and Billboard records, win AOTY at the Grammys and bring in so many new fans. Folklore is a quintessential quarantine album. It came out during the height of the pandemic and perfectly encapsulates the isolation of lockdown. For me, folklore felt much like a lifeline that saved my enjoyment of Taylor’s music again. It breathed life into liminal and monotonous days, and provided a mode of comfort in uncertain times. She really dove with her sharp pen into the songwriting, with beautiful and sophisticated lyrics, and a new sound for her production with Aaron Dessner. I love the connectivity of the songs, the cohesive mood, how it was all woven together by the common theme of storytelling. My favorite songs on the album are the songs that make up the love triangle, as well as the last great american dynasty, invisible string, and my tears ricochet. This album will be remembered as a classic, if it hasn’t already.

Lover is a pretty and dreamy album. From the opening to the end, it’s filled with bops. Death by a thousand cuts is iconic. It’s a song that Taylor created not about herself, and demonstrated her superior songwriting talent. And then there’s the title track Lover. A beautiful, ethereal song that should be played at everyone’s wedding. Daylight is another song I have on repeat. step into the daylight and let it go is a lovely lyric

Looking back at 2020 feels SO surreal already. Like did all that really happen? The pandemic truly changed everything and so it affected the music too. I personally found it hard to truly enjoy the colorful and bopping albums released at the time like Future Nostalgia and Manic from being stuck at home isolated from parties and such. Then. a weird new genre emerged. Lockdown music. While Charli XCX did get a head start with the brilliant album "How i'm feeling now" and others mostly put out a single, Taylor emerged in a way i still not can't believe she pulled off. Folklore (and later evermore) became the definitive proof of Taylors strongest talent: her songwriting. I still remember how Lover was critised for having the weakest lyrics in a while and even had one situation where i had trouble argumenting about it in a heated discussion with my friend group. This put an end to that. Gone where the 1989 pop elements which some grew tired of with lover and here was a stripped down masterpiece of simplicity, storytelling and beauty which was perfect at the time and still today has managed to aged like fine wine.
After folklore came out i've never been able to rank all Taylors albums ever again as her discography now possesses such great variety that compared to eachother it won't add up for me, whether its a pop perfection in like cruel summer or lyrical masterpiece in like my years ricochet. They are all great each on their own tayadmire

An album which I think is super underrated on Taylor's discography is very much Lover. Lover is kind of like the vegemite of all the albums - you either like it or you don't, no in-between. And many (fans included) dislike it with a burning passion. Which I believe is unfair. Lover may not included ground breaking songs, but it was still a beautiful pop album. So I am going to share what I love about Lover.
I love that there is a song for so many different aspects of love on it.
I love how despite what others say, Taylor still managed to evoke so much emotion and feel into the album.
I love how Lover is like the rainbow after the rain for Taylor.
I love the fun music videos.
I love how easy it is to sing Lover songs in the car and dance to them anywhere.
I love how it celebrates her happiness in love.
My favourite song has to be The Archer, for its meaning and simply being able to listen to it when I need to calm myself down.

evermore !! my dual stan album, so comforting in a red-style fall/winter coat way. its sunset on a porch with your lover, or exlover, or old friend, with a kind of settling into the next stage of your life. my favourite song is tis the damn season, followed by the perfect run of coney island, cowboy like me and ivy. i even have the ivy airpods case which i have not been treating too well.... but nonetheless its just a gorgeous gorgeous well written album, mellow and aged more than folklore. every song is an experience i will never forget, "what a shame shes fcked in the head" "gleaaaaaming twiiiinkling" "she was with me dude" "yeah its a fire its a GODAM blaze" "skeletons in both our closets plotted hard to fck this up" "watched as you signed ur name marjorie" it was all written so exquisitely and uniquely theres sth to pick out in each song

I'm doing good, I'm on some bullshit

Folklore is one of my favorites of all time. No matter how my rankings change, folklore will definitely stay on my top 3.

It's 2020, hi. It's the problem it's 2020. I remember the first cases of Covid on Jan. 2020. Things spread quickly because, well, we're near China. When folklore got released, I didn't know a lot about it yet since I kinda left the fandom for a while and was interested to J-Pop group more. (AKB48 was my beloved back then 🙏). Anyways, when I first listen to the album (Specifically Cardigan, The Lakes & Seven) I was so shocked that it's SO amazing than I expected.

My favs from folklore are Illicit Affairs & Seven. I mean, all of the folklore songs are good, right? (except epiphany & mad woman..). I'm really hoping for folklore in The Era's Tour. That's it for folklore. Wish we could have more folklore era but hey, evermore is still good!

Lover is a fantastic album with plenty of  outstanding pop hits that make your heart burst. It exudes Swift's upbeat, considerably more palatable sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love. My favourites are cruel summer, lover and daylight. My favourite lyric is probably "I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you." It is not my favourite album, but it is the first taylor swift album i heard and fell in love with <33

lover lover: this is probably one of my favourite albums. i only really started listening to it at the end of last year and i rlly enjoyed it. some of my favourties on the album include death by a thousand cuts, cornelia street, and paper rings. my favourite lyric would probably be "cause saying goodbye is death by a thousand cuts; flashbacks waking me up".

I’d love to talk abt lover & folklore
**Lover lover ** is an album that most of the time lifts my mood and makes me happier :) it is filled with beautifully written songs like dbatc with that amazing bridge and absolute boos like cruel summer and maathp. miss Americana was also a documentary that was eye-opening and I just love it sm. it’s a cohesive album imo and it has been in my top 3 for a while now.

**folklore folklore ** is an album that has also been in my top 3 tay albums for a while now. it is without a doubt the best written Taylor swift album so far. the storytelling is so inspirational and the love arrow (people say love triangle but if it is just Betty + James and James + Augustine and no Betty + Augustine that makes it a love arrow lmao) my favorite is my tears richochet and most underrated is tlgad

Lover is a really good album! I really like the album cover, the pastel vibe, and just the songs overall. My favorite songs from this album are MAATHP, cruel summer, ithk, lover, and the archer. I also love the ME! Memes lol, and even though we didn’t get the lover fest, I really like the live versions in Paris and I think the songs on lover would sound a lot better if there was a tour but sadly that was robbed of us. 😔 but I do really like lover and I think it deserves much more

Seeing as evermore is my favorite of hers I will absolutely talk about it haha. I think it is by far the most underrated album. It has so many well written, but heart wrenching songs. Champagne problems, happiness, tolerate it. They all show such a sense of maturity and paint such a beautiful picture. Cowboy like me also creates such an amazing visual. I could go in and just lost all the songs but I won’t haha. Ultimately I stand by the opinion that there is not a single bad song on the album. I know closure is contentious, but I think once you get over the change in musical style, it stands on its own with the other songs. I also love the collaboration with Aaron Dessner. I am blown away by his work and am so thankful they got together to make this album and more! I can only hope they have a long and continued partnership.

Let’s talk about folklore again because why not. This is such a beautiful album, and very few tracks miss in my opinion. My Tears Ricochet is the most gut wrenching track 5 overall, from production to lyrics. The love triangle is also a great way to look at this album, with all 3 having completely different styles of music and it’s great. I feel that folklore is more cohesive than evermore, which is why I like it better. And this gave us our first instance of Aaron and William, and look at where this has gotten. Folklore is my second favorite album of Taylor’s, and it will stand as the peak of creativity during the early pandemic for me, and hopefully for history as well.

So I'm going to talk about evermore since it's my favourite out of the 3 and is so criminally underrated. folklore was a surprise enough but a second surprise album was just completely unexpected. From first listen I instantly fell in love with the album and it quickly rose near the top of my ranks. The vibes from songs like coney island gold rush, ivy, willow, evermore, tis the damn season etc are amazing and I love how the album really gives off a cosy, winter feeling. The lyricism in the album is so often overlooked because it's on the same level, if not higher, than folklore to me. I do hope that it gains more attention as time passes and it gets enough recognition from Tay in the eras tour

Lover is, was and always will hold a special place in my heart since it was my first favourite Taylor album. For me lover represents positivity, I've always looked at it to be something that cheers me up and makes me smile. My all time favourite songs from this album (and in general) are Afterglow, Cornelia Street, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince. Afterglow is one song that I've always related to without over-exaggerating, it perfectly describes the feeling of hurting someone you love and then accepting it. Cornelia Street is Cornelia Street, a magical song that makes me want to keep it on repeat everytime i hear it. And at last, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince makes gives me a serotonin rush everytime i hear it.

#

My initial plan was to talk about my 2nd favourite Taylor album, folklore, but seeing the little love evermore has been getting, I cannot not talk about it. Evermore was the follow-up and continuation of the indie-folk soundscape she first dabbled with in folklore and is often erroneously overshadowed by its predecessor. While I believe folklore is a better and more sonically cohesive album overall, I find myself returning to evermore more often for individual tracks, maybe because it boasts some of my favourite songs of all time! My two favourite Taylor tracks are on this album: 'tis the damn season and tolerate it, along with some others such as Coney Island, Champagne problems, Willow and, of course, Ivy tayadmire Evermore is a masterpiece and deserves so much more love I cannot stress this enough.

Lover was the album that got me into Taylor swift, I remember not knowing much about Taylor, and then a friend insisted I hear Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. I fell in love right there, and to this date, it's my favorite and special Taylor song.
I actually listened to the album completely only last year, being too busy with folklore and evermore before it, but I love every single track on this album. Cornelia Street, The Man, Paper RIngs, and literally every single track. A no-skip album for me, honestly. Even YNTCD and ME!, they're so good! My babies don't deserve the hate they get. And It's Nice to Have a Friend?? Oh my gosh. Chills. Every damn time I hear it. An absolute MASTERPIECE

For me personally, this album is the rosy, golden haze of happiness that one can hold on to even in the darkest of times. It's Taylor's daylight, and my reassurance that daylight is out there and I need to wait for it. Here's to my favourite piece of music ever created, it's nice to have this album as a friend.

Lover was the album that first got me into listening to Taylor. I came across the ME! music video and absolutely loved the vibe of it. It also made wanna go back and listen to all other Taylor songs I knew then (honestly very few at the time, it was mainly her biggest hits like ybwm, sio, bb, etc.) After that, I started keeping up with her posts, the release of yntcd and then the countdown for Lover and it was all very exciting for me. I adored the album from the very first listen and I love how she not only talks about the type of love from being in a relationship but other types of love as well. My favs from Lover are Cruel Summer, Cornelia Street and Daylight. It's a tragedy that Lover Fest got cancelled cuz I would've loved to see her open with Cruel Summer, it would've been fucking amazing tayadmire Lover will always have a special place in my heart for being the album that got me into Taylor <3 lover

Lover will always remind me of the happiest year of my life so far ❤️ it came out around the time I got married and after our wedding we bought computers to be able to play Minecraft (😂) and we stayed up all night listening to lover and playing Minecraft. Such a great time 🥺 that’s also when I got to know bestie @dapper talon and that album will probably always make me remember all the good times we’ve had.

My favorite songs off the album are probably false god and the archer but I love almost every single song. I LOVE the echo at the end of daylight and it’s such a clever way of saying you’re afraid of something

When Evermore was announced my mom woke me up to tell me about it. I was really confused because she said "Taylor Swift is releasing a new album" and I thought she meant a re-recording, but she told me it was NEW new, so I was really excited all day. When Folklore came out my mom and I listened together, but she was tired that day so I listened to Evermore on my own. I listened to it while doing variety puzzles (crosswords, word searches, etc.) and my instant favorites were champagne problems and no body, no crime. After a few subsequent listens, nbnc fell in my ranking of the album, and ivy and cowboy like me became favorites, so those three (ivy, clm, and champagne problems) are my favorites from the album. I think ivy is probably one of the best songs she's ever done, I love it soooo much

#

evermore isn't my favourite but it's a gem, i listen to it because of its lyricism. i became a fan in the evermore era when there was a ton of evermore lyric videos everywhere on my youtube and i decided to listen to them, one of the first was champagne problems and i remember watching the rings drop into the champagne and thinking how prettty all the lyric videos were, but i didn't properly listen to the songs so i didn't realise how sad they were. i usually only listen to evermore if i'm really up for it because right where you left me always makes me bawl my eyes out. my favourite song has got to be dorothea because i love the point of view it's written from and how it looks back in happiness. i love how it's all nostalgic about before dorothea left, i feel like taylor wrote it from her experience of leaving her town to pursue music. it's got such a sweet melody and even though it's a happy song i could still cry to it, taylor wrote it like it's one of my memories and i should remember it so vividly

Lover.. my love
so.. since I missed most of the stuff during rep (saving this for rep anniversary), lover era was what I would call my second as a fan after 1989. And god.. was it a time, definitely the best year of my life, wasting hours trying to figure out what the hints mean, blasting the album throughout the day, doodling lyrics on the last page on my notebooks in classes.. did it all.
There is not a single track that I didn't absolutely loved at any point in my life, from ME! to Daylight, I love all of them.. this album has made me dance like a crazy maniac while listening to ME!, blush thinking about my crush listening to ITHK, sob in my bed after heart break listening to DBATC, as well as while remembering my grandpa.. SYGB.
Whenever someone says they hate Lover because the songs are "weak" "misplaced" or "just boring".. that doesn't anger me.. it makes me sad, just sad that how such a lovely album be called anything like that.
and BOY OH BOY.. CITY OF LOVER.. it will forever be my biggest regret not being able to be there.. it made me fall in love with Taylor all over again.. and idc what people say or think, Cornelia street is her greatest live performance all of time. I tried to learn to play it on guitar (but exams happened, then covid 💀)
I even convinced my parents to let me go to Lover fest if she came to my country (higly unlikely but still 😔) and then, it got cancelled, I don't remember ever screaming so hard, my mum thought that i had broken a bone or something. but since she's going on tour again, I pray to god every night that she does play cruel summer live and releases it on youtube. also, the photoshoot, it was the best, I even printed a few of them as posters for my room, I still have a small one behind the door.
favorite song is Cruel Summer and fav lyric "What doesn't kill me makes me want you more"

Folklore
One of my favourite albums of all time. I remember when folklore released and my sad bitch era started. I blame taylor for all the depressed phases i go through, all the nights i have cried listening to exile and my tears ricochet, and all the nights i could sleep because of how calming the lakes is. The lakes is one of my favourite song of all time, its one of those few songs i put on repeat for the whole night because it calms me down and helps me sleep. Epiphany is a very underrated song, i didn't appreciate it much too but after the long pond studio sessions, it made me cry every fucking time.
Although I do feel evermore as an album might be better than folklore but i truly base that since i have overplayed folklore for months, although folklore doesn't have any songs i hate but evermore does. Right where you left me and cowboy like me are also underrated masterpieces imo

FOLKLORE, the album, the legend, the myth
it is easily her best work, every single song is crafted beautifully... again, I missed most of the stuff cuz I was too busy studying :/
every single track fits perfectly in its place, telling a story just like a folk song. this is me trying, got me through some tuff times during lockdowns, and honestly not just it the whole album saved me from going insane.
lakes, epiphany, peace and hoax are my comfort songs. My favorite (or least) lyrics are "So much for summer love and saying us", this is because.. just a year ago, i did actually hung out a lot with my crush during summer holidays, but nothing ever worked out because we just, never met after that summer (fuck you covid), this one still reminds me of her

now.. I wasn't gonna talk about it, but.. I'm not Taylor, I can't ignore EVERMORE
I still remember very clearly, my cousin came into my room screaming hard, all she said was.. "she did it again" and, my jaw dropped.
while folklore is regarded as the better album by many.. evermore hits me closer. I actually first joined the server after the release so thats one more thing which makes it special for me
It also was the first time many people found out that I'm a taylor fan irl, just cuz i won't stop listening to the damned album, now everyone thinks i'm crazy taykey
all the lyric videos are also really pretty, i think they are the best lyrics videos i've seen
my favorite song has to be right where you left me.. has to be, this song is so fucking powerful, it can me sad even after winning a lottery, no song has made me cry as much as right where you left me (ok mtr is close maybe) favorite lyric "Time went on for everybody else, she won't know it, She's still 23 inside her fantasy, How it was supposed to be" this is because, i am indeed still 16 inside my fantasy, wondering how it was supposed to be..

My favorite album is speak now. I think it’s my favorite because of the lyricism and the fact that she wrote everything by herself at such a young age is what amazes me and makes it my favorite album. the songs are so good, there are no skips. the album is just perfect - there are emotional songs to make u ball ur eyes out but there are also some upbeat songs to make u dance, there’s just some from everything and that’s what makes the album better. My favorite song on the album is innocent, it’s just so well written and gives hope to humanity, it’s a hopeful song and I can’t wait for her to release the re-recording of speak now. I feel like a lot of people don’t listen to it cuz it’s an old yeehaw album but they’re just missing out and I know the moment speak now TV will be released, more people will fall in love with the album. Speak now is also my favorite era! I became a swifitie a bit after red came out and If only I would’ve became a swifitie a bit earlier I may have been able to experience my favorite eratayhands but that’s fine cuz I’ll still be able to experience speak now TV eratayadmire

Lover might not be my favourite album. But it has some of my favourite songs. I wish I could've gone to Loverfest. I wish it would’ve happened at least. For the first time it would’ve been possible for me to attend it. Would've been sooooo fun. Cornelia Street is probably my favourite song from the album and probably most played because of that as well. I hope she performs it in the Eras tour. Pretty excited to hear it if she performs Cornelia Street or Cruel Summer. tayadmire

folklore is one of my favorite tay albums, at first I didn’t like it because I am more of a pop Swiftie and I thought the tracks were way to slow, but eventually they all grew on me. There are so many amazing songs on this album, but my top 5 is

  1. August
  2. Cardigan
  3. My tears ricochet
  4. The last great American ||mango||
  5. Betty
I also love the album cover to this album, it’s simple but really pretty. It reminds me of safe and sound kinda and I feel like safe and sound kinda sound like a folklore song so it all just ties in together, what a great album.

Well, I'm gonna speak a bit about all 3 albums, I really want to give some appreciation to all 3 of them
Starting with lover
It might not be my favorite Taylor album but I love many tracks for sure, and some of them grew a lot on me over time! And the fact that I was sooooo close to go to Lover Fest in 2020 (hopefully I'm going to the Eras Tour) really makes me feel many good emotions about Lover ataylover
My top 5 is: 1- Death By A Thousand Cuts, 2- Cruel Summer, 3- Cornelia Street, 4- False God, 5- The Archer
And now folkmore
Needless to say, folklore and evermore are some of my all time favorite albums from Taylor 🖤🤎 Both folklore and evermore came out in a great timing, things were really hard for me (and for everyone tbh) and helped me cope with those hardships, thinking about all the stories she told in both albums and comforting me with anxiety and going back to another depressive episode, it's more than great music, it's healing music to me btayadmire
My top 5 from atayfolklore is: 1- august, 2- my tears ricochet, 3- this is me trying, 4- exile, 5- cardigan
And finally my top 5 from atayevermore is: 1- champagne problems, 2- tolerate it, 3- gold rush, 4- ivy, 5- happiness

my top favorite albums include folklore and evermore, what I like about them are the stories that the songs tell and how they each have their own meanings. evermore evermore my beloved tayadmire this is the album that is like a drug to me. i love how unique it is, so many beautiful lyrics and nostalgic feelings it brings. pretty underrated, i will never understand why. my favourite song on it is coney island, probably because of The National feature, and Matt Berninger's sad vocals. The song feels like a montage, and makes me feel so many things, every time.
folklore folklore. favourite album after evermore. it feels like a knife in the gut. reminds me of my teenage years. i also love how experimental this was, and how successful it turned out to be. i could not pick a favourite out of the album, but i would say my top 3 are hoax, this is me trying, illicit affairs. truly, folklore is the hurting, evermore is the healing.
lover and finally, lover. the album that got me into Taylor Swift. i loved the title track the first time i heard it, and will forever love it. also so so many bops, my favourites have got to be daylight, cruel summer and miss americana and the heartbreak prince. i would also like to take a moment to say that this user does not tolerate ME! slander <3

Lover is such a special album to me and Death By A Thousand Cuts is one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs of all time - it was my stan song for a while - and I absolutely love the lyricism and imagery that Taylor creates in this song. I adore just about every lyric from DBATC, but some of my favorites definitely have to be, "But if the story's over, why am I still writing pages?" and "Paper cut stings from our paper-thin plans"

I also want to give a special shoutout to folklore as its announcement came only a few days after my 21st birthday, when I saw Miss Americana for the first came and truly became a swiftie tayrelieved

Folklore was the album that made me a swiftie taypleading
I remember discovering Cardigan through a buzzfeed quiz 💀 I listened to it on yt and found something about Betty and August in the comment section. I heard betty and then that was it. It was the only song i would listen to for days lmao. I loved how the song progressed into a story and i loved the build up after the bridge. And then a few days later i was obsessed with TLGAD. I decided to check out the whole album then and i fell in love with it. I decided to check out all her other work after that and then i was a swiftie😤. Folklore is for sure, my favourite Taylor album. I've never been able to choose a favourite song because i love all of them so much and the ranking keeps changing. Currently, my favourites are Mirrorball, Hoax and Seven (mb the most underrated tracks on the album too). Also, haven't forgotten about Evermore tayadmire (looking at you Taylortayunamused). Evermore has some great songs, few of my overall favourites from taylor's discography; Ivy, Tolerate it and Cowboy like me tayrelieved
I'm glad Taylor decided to do this genre shift in her albums from Lover to Folkmore, because personally, i feel Folkmore is her best work folklore evermore

yay! oh my god, i finally get to talk about my all time favorite album at the moment, lover. lover is my absolute favorite album because of death by a thousand cuts, cornelia street, daylight, and i think he knows. death by a thousand cuts is just a song i cannot stop replaying and i love the live from paris version so much because she really only needs a guitar to slay. the bridge breaks me every time i listen to it. cornelia street makes me so happy and nostalgic when i listen to it, and daylight reminds me maturing is real and growing up is bittersweet. i think he knows he an absolute get ready song for me and a hype song. i was so sad lover fest got cancelled but i really hope the eras tour showcases lots of lover songs!!!

When folklore got released i was busy with the 10 year anniversary of one direction, so of course I didn’t expect it. Also, I didn’t listen to folklore that much. Idk if it was like a different sound or just that I was focusing in something else. Then evermore got released, and that album meant a lot to me back in the time, because I just had gone through something really personal with my grandma just the day it got announced. Afterwards, I just had a different point of view of the whole era. Taylor did a whole new thing, new sound, the lyricism is just beyond this world. Made me reassure I am stanning the right person. This is me trying, mirrorball, seven, invisible string, Marjorie, champagne problems, Dorothea, long story short are my favorites, but they change when I listen to them again.

Ahh let me chat to you about Lover even though it’s an album I am very mixed on. It’s the first album that I listened to live when the album dropped on midnight on this server actually! The album drop vc gave me so many good memories 💕 my fav songs from the album include cruel summer, death by a thousand cuts and daylight! Wish Taylor chose better singles for this album cause there are soo many other good choices imo! Here’s to Lover lover
