Hi guys. I recently started playing The Sims 4, though I did play The Sims 3 long ago. I like to dress my sims, and I used to download a lot of content from The Sims Resource, but their mods aren't showing in game for me. Where do y'all get mods?

check settings if mods are on (check for script mods too!), and if that doesnt work curseforge, patreon or tumblr can be a good place! you can also google keywords like "sims 4 cc sweaters" and most will give you pinterest boards that, if uou find something you want you can click the link they give, or google shows articles that have listed good cc of that category!

after clicking "enable custom content" it shows an unlocked option of "allow script mods"

you need to have cc enabled for script mods :)

remember to always restart sims after changing those settings!!! and make sure ur sims cc isnt outdated, packs/kits/updates tend to break certain cc!!

If I was an EA dev I wouldn't add that.
It can trigger a lot of people. I know some people would think that there'd be a "simple solution" and that those people "just shouldn't get that pack/kit, or shouldn't look at it"
It isn't that easy. Coming from experience, it's not a good move on their part

personally i love twistedcat's skin overlays, i think it looks great with base game and they have really good hair meshs too

they have an eye overlay that im not in love with personally but it matches cute with the skin overlays

their stuff is very like, clear and soft skin centric though so if you want like a rough manly skin texture i don't have a recommendation off the top of my head, i do like getting like highlights and contouring to kinda accentuate the faces i build though? like I'll make a sim w high cheekbones then use my high cheekbone cc overlay to make it MORE high

Yeah you should make sure you actually have Slice of Life mod installed before the optional features, I'd also make sure they're all up to date because from what I know she's deleted a bunch and overhauled others

I really love those steampunk items. Honestly that and Gothic Lolita are some of my favorite fashion choices. Probably because they were always super popular with anime cultures too like with Gaiaonline.
