It's FINALLY warm enough for the gerbils to get a full cage cleaning! (In colder climates it's not recommended to entirely change the bedding in the winter, bc it disturbs the tunnel structure and removes the insulation of their sleeping area.)
First picture is their three hidey holes, a pvc tunnel, and their wheel.
Second picture, gerbils get dust or sand baths. Mine prefer pumice/volcanic ash aka chinchilla dust. I give it to them in a travel box so the dust doesn't settle in the cage and potentially get in their lungs.
Third picture is the boys in their clean home, chewing on the timothy hay to start rebuilding the tunnels.

We had to take my 18 year old cat to the hospital today. She had some kind of fit/seizure (we won't know exactly what happened until they run some tests). They had to put her in an oxygen tent for nearly an hour, but she's stable now. They're keeping her in for a day or two to run tests and keep her under observation.
